Me and my cousin do often. When we do, we usually use roughly four-to-five foot long fiberglass sticks - wearing thin gloves to avoid splinters and lessen the sting of being hit in the hands. Me and an old friend of mine named Phillip used to use long, thick wooden sticks. Some straight, some not quite. And another friend of mine has made a few fake swords specifically for swordfighting.

Of course, sometimes I use the sticks more like a staff and less like a sword...

And the robot is fucking hard. At least you don't have the normal Ice Land music in the background... I like most of SK2's music, but DAMN I hate Ice Land's. Which is too bad, as I love the level...

Reading those 2 points right after eachother gave me some scary thoughts of some illegal things.
Y'know, I considered that after a while. I had assumed you and everyone else would know I was responding to the topic and not to Johnny's post and that this wouldn't even be brought up.

Yes and No, respectively. A pokemon does not lose TM/HM compatibility upon evolution, and I don't think Dragonite has a different levelup moveset.

Dragonair still has that weakness to ice... but not nearly as excessively bad as Dragonite's.

I'd still rather use Kingdra... same moveset's possible, too, as far as I know.

Also, RuSa can't do a damn thing for GSC. No trading between them.

eh, Thunderbolt could be replaced with Flamethrower if the move tutors can teach it... depends on what Ice-types your friends use against it... if they use, for example, Jynx, you'd be better off with Flamethrower... against Piloswine, uh... you're screwed, but Flamethrower or Submission (which could be bought in RBY) would do more damage.

... actually, unless the point of that attack wasn't anti-Ice, Submission's probably better anyway with Dragonite's high attack and the fact that it's buyable. And the fact that every Ice-type except Jynx is weak to it, Sneasel doubly so.

Unless the rule is a seriously important one, there's no need at all for additions! Just add that rule at the beginning of the battle, and say that it will be used in addition to the n ormal rules.

See? It's not that hard!

Had another swordfight yesterday with one of my friends, and I realized something....

we both suck at blocking. If I follow a horizontal slash with a vertical strike, he can't block the second one. Similarly, if I delay an attack with a quick spin, he lowers his guard and can't reraise it in time for the attack.

Meanwhile, I try to repel attacks that aren't even coming, especially when I only have one hand on the sword.

As far as my cousin goes... he's kinda good at dodging, when he's trying, but he's too clumsily aggressive, and he often forgets to block or dodge. This causes me to land a hit even more often when he goes on the offensive.

And another old friend of mine, who I haven't seen in a few months, was more of a defender than an attacker. Still pretty good, just completely different from what I fight now... as such, he'd probably win.

Submission has a bad hit ratio? I thought it was 100%, but with recoil damage...

Then again, you're probably more right than me; I kinda ignored attacks with recoil damage. =/

There's also the fact that Dragonite has shit special and high attack, as you've said. Rock Slide, I would suggest, but it's even less accurate and I don't even think Dragonite can learn it.

Again, for a Dragon, I'd prefer Kingdra. The only weakness it has is to other Dragons... and since it can learn Ice Beam, that's not really a problem unless you face a non-Dragon with a Dragon attack (what non-dragons are there with one? Gyarados? Possibly Charizard?)

I know that it's impossible to prove the existence of any deities either way. Can't prove they're there, can't prove they aren't. I believe, as some know, that there isn't a god, but will accept that I could very well be wrong.

I feel that religion, while bringing many bad things, has brought an equal amount of good to the world, and so long as people don't try to convert me I don't care who or what they worship.

As for my family, for the curious... My mother and stepfather are pagan (mom says she's not entirely Wiccan anymore, I never bothered prying the details out of her), my grandmother that lives here is Christian (more specific, I do not know)... what a mix, what a mix...

Well, I SHOULD wear my glasses, but my vision's not that bad anyway, and I hate having things on my face or head... and I ain't exactly a huge fan of the idea of sticking things in my eyes, so no contacts for me.
