"You're gonna jinx it if you keep talking like that. "You dare to protect that scum. So be it... Enemy!" With that, Hydros pulled his longsword from its sheath, and brandished it. "The elemental warriors of Mistress Gaia will not fall to the likes of you!" A swirling blue energy encased his sword, and with an offensive pose, a beam of mystical, icy energy shot forth from the tip of the sword at his opponent. |

| Hydros spun around to dodge the counterattack, and shot an evil glare at Seraph.
"You dare to mock the Mistress, and call her a harlot!? You scum!" As he spun, he whipped his sword around as well, aiming to strike his enemy in his back, which was rather unprotected. The motion of the opponent's attack, left a large hole that Hydros could easily exploit, with the hopes that he could at least injure his foe. |

| The butt of the spear connected, as Hydros could do nothing immediately to stop the attack, and it hit his chin. Shaken, but not stirred, he stumbled a bit before regaining his footing. Seraph's constant insults did little to bother his concentration, but it still irritated him, and gave him all the more reason to kill him.
"Insolent cur. May the curse of a thousand souls be placed upon you, besmerger of the Lady's name." With that, Hydros stood ready, and swung his sword at the ground, his icy beam creating a slippery surface for at least a 50 foot radius. Let's see him fight on that, he thought to himself. As a finishing gesture, Hydros smirked, and stood at attention. "Why do bother to insult me? Is it to compensate for your impotent leader's inability to formulate a warrior of at least mediocre standing? I haven't begun to fight yet, plaything of the gods!" | A head on attack was pointless to Hydros. As the spear came towards him, he simply sidestepped; the ice was nothing to him, as he was the master of all things water related. As the spear glided past the left side of his head, Hydros grabbed the spear with his free hand, and icy air and water encrusted the area where he grabbed on fast. That area became brittle and weak.
"How do you feel fighting without your spear?" As Hydros tightened his grip on the now weakened weapon, the long hilt cracked and splintered, then snapped in half. As the weapon gave way, Hydros brought his sword down upon his opponent, in a blow he though may incapacitate his foe. |

| The foe was indeed a crafty one. Hydros predicted a counterattack, just not one of such a magnitude. In the time it took him to break the spear, the water energy in his hand was part of a larger, defensive scheme for just such an occasion. The energy built up in his palm raised his Defensive Shell naught but a second after his retort. As the lighting struck, the shield was shattered, and Hydros was knocked back, the blow delivered greatly reduced by his mystical energy field, and he remained shaken and a little bit numb, but otherwise very capable of continuing the fight.
"More trickery, I assume? Fine! I shall break you, nemesis." He raised his hands skyward, and the clouds thickened and turned black, and a monstrous monsoon formulated, and the rain poured down in droves. "Witness my might!" Hydros pressed on the attack, delivering blows with his sword, half-expecting his foe to block, as he gathered energy for his next major attack. |
