This is one of the classic games I like to review that only exists in Japan. 7 years ago this game Hana Yori Dango was created for Game Boy Color and never made and/or released in America. This game is based on the orginal Hana Yori Dango Manga version. Also known as Boys over Flowers as the English Title or Boys Before Flowers.

The gameplay itself is readable. Like a storybook. It has no specific role playing or other generic playing types. I played it myself with an emulator. The text is only Japanese throughout the story and some english text. It's too bad that I cannot understand Japanese yet because I still have no full knowledge yet.

The story goes up to the TOJ (Teen of Japan). When Makino Tsukushi enters the TOJ contest. Some storylines can be twisted depending which chapter of the game you visit. The graphics and the game palettes of the game are a little ugly. But the music is quite good.

As for me, I give this rating of this Japanese game 4 out of 10. It would be better if HYD is a role playing game like Kentai Denjuu Telefang or Pokemon Gold, Silver and Crystal. I've plan to translate the entire game to english really soon with my Translating teamates at RHDN.
