Probably won't happen. I don't know how to code it (though I'm sure it's simple...), but my main reason, is that it could just look tacky. Especially on pages like the memberlist and whatnot, it'd probably stretch tables and stuff. I saw some AB out there did it before and it just didn't look good at all. |

Spartan, I know you disagree, and I do too(but I'll get to that in a moment), but please don't be condescending towards him, everyone is entitled to their own ideas, and if you think they made a mistake, you can cause a lot less contention by being less confrontational. Anyway, you main arguement has been refuted in a way to clearly show that Nagis is NOT being idiotic or ignorant.
If you disagree, that's fine, in fact, I do too, but your poin will go across a ton better if you say it in a way that doesn't try to put him down. That said, my only real problem with it is that it could easily be abused by members. However, if regulated properly, and if it has to go throguh staff approval like normal user names, I'd probably be fine with it. |

Then what if we use an image host like say, photobucket?
And I doubt there are people out there who want to use my name as an image. Also, explain This. Xeo once offered me to use his host to upload my images Spartan. Chill out. |

Actually, yes, I have. I am sure most users here remember Sairutoshrine? That old ACMLM board that lasted a year? Oh yeah, I have haven't I? Those were the good old Erk dog Days...so yeah, I don't think your attitude is really needed.
So I suppose the images on your layout, signature, and images in your post are all paid for by xeo? I would assume it would not take that much code to factor in just a small custom name that isnt even close to 10 KB big. Look, if it is a bad idea, it is a bad idea. But dont come jumping in biting my head off pointing fingers saying I dont know shit about bandwith and claiming you are running the shots here, I asked a simple question, and I expect a simple answer. |

Yeah, if you want to do that, just put it in your custom title. Besides, using the name colors isn't a very good example, because you can't change them willy nilly; they actually mean something. |

You know, like instead of having your name in a different color. Why not replace it with a small 100px wide by 50px tall image that spells your name?
Nothing HUGE, you know, just something that I thought would be a rather neat feature. I saw this on a couple Browser games I enjoy, like Rule The Seas Something like that I suppose. An image that wont break the tables, but adds class and style or something. Edit- Oh shoot, you have to be a member to click the link. Well, just picture an image wit his name on it instead of characters spelling his name. If you catch my drift, I suck at explaining things like that. |
