Interestingly enough, I tried to edit the thread to say "You're" instead of "Your" and it will not let me do it.

My first shiny, and I shit you not, was a Ho-Oh. I didn't realize that it was a shiny until I restarted the game and the next Ho-Oh I ran across was normal, much to my disappointment. Well, this is of course disregarding the red Gyarados. |

After watching this video, I went out and bought Soul Silver for the DS. I tried to get a shiny Totodile, but I gave up after a while (less than 100 tries).
