Dreamweaver is so good, you really wouldn't even need to know HTML to use it. But I'm just kind of saying that ...

We used Dreamweaver for my 2nd Quarter in my Web Design class last year, it's insanely easy to use. It does the code for you, that's basically what that and Frontpage do. Sometimes, and especially with tables, it can mess up though.

Basically you just create and tweak want you want on one page, and it generates the code on another, which of course you can alter if it's messed up.

Dreamweavers also good because you can easily make Flash buttons with it, generate Templates and CSS (but CSS is really easy in the first place), and a lot more.

True: If you're having an easy time with HTML manually, Dreamweaver / Frontpage, or whatever program you may use for that, will be incredibly easy for you.

Might I also downloading the free program known as the HTML-Kit? It is very useful for me when making layouts and is much like Frontpage except its free. By using this, you can preview all your work without all the hassles of having to use Notepad or Word. It should make a lot of people's lives easier with HTML.

You know using GUI programs is the next thing I'm learning. I already know some css. ANYWAY GUI programs like Frontpage and Dreamweaver are supposed to be easy to use, because you can choose what you want or something...

I haven't used GUI programs before. May I have a pm so I can be ahead of my webdesign class?

Geez, a little rough around the edges arent we? People not having layouts if they dont know HTML? Shoot em!

Tons of people are out there that know what they are doing, so just go to another person, simple as that.

Honestly, for the last couple of months I've had layouts disabled, so I don't see them.

I think it makes the board look nice, and the posts look a lot more organized.

I don't mind layouts, but some of them bug me sometimes. And I'm not much of a fan for scrollbars ...

But hey, really you don't have to have a layout to be "cool", some people might not be able to make a layout, yet they could maybe whip up an awesome banner for their signature, and that's fine to use too.

Eh, I only know enough HTML to make a simple layout. And I learned this from someone else, so...

Still, not difficult. If you want a layout that badly that you would bug Kaijin, I'm sure you can learn to make one yourself. Or find someone else to bug.

Maybe people who don't know html shouldn't have a layout, cause most of them mess up to start with and it's one thing letting the individual know, but it's another trying to fix it, unfortunately there is only few here that actually know how to make layouts and fix them and it’s them people that others approach for help.

But I agree though, there is plenty of “learning html” sites out their, I’ve had a look at some and they have helped me out.

May I suggest a site to go to? HTML goodies is a good start. Go to the HTML Pirmers and read up on them. 7 total, and they cover all the basics.

*Huggles Kaijin* Sorry Kaijin. I'm glad you said something, about it though. This is as good a time as any to thank you for the awesome layouts you've mede me in the past.

I learned to make my own layout! You all should too. XD It's quite simple and easy, there's no problem in that at all. All you have to do is open note pad put the code in and copy and paste it to your header and signature.

edit: now if only I could get my grammar right.

GO LEARN HTML YOURSELF!

Honestly, I can't stress enough how easy HTML is. If you really set yourself to it, and even don't have any experience with HTML beforehand, you could still probably learn a good amount in only a few days ...

It's basically memorizing things. And layouts are pretty basic in HTML to begin with.

Leave me alone about Layouts for a few freakin weeks! I have been getting overloaded with them, and its starting to ware on my nerves. If you have a tweak that "Only I can Fix" well then... Live with it. Go find someone else to help you for a while, or try and fix it yourself...

...Godforbid someone may learn something...

I'll still take Layout Requests from a small specific number of members, thoes of whom I will NOT list.

So just give me a few days to get away from dealing with HTML. I'm getting overloaded...

REMINDER: I left the Layout Request open FOR A REASON.
