Your parents are the most influential people in your life. If anyone should be hindering you from making your decision, it's them. They deserve to at least be listened to. However, everyone else can just suck your balls. Heh. But really. Your parents ahve their right to advise you (but not make your decisions for you), everyone else does not. |

What I want to do, it takes a lot of training and stuff like that. So my parents are okay with it. It's my other family members. |

I have to agree. When it comes to decisions that affect your life you have to be selfish because you're the one that has to live with the outcome. It's part of growing up.

Just keep in mind that most of our forces are in another country rather than helping ourselves out when we need it...
It is your choice, and you really do have the final say in it. Nuff said. Just be sure to look at everything before you make your decision. WHat is right for some may be the completely wrong thing for others. ~Jenna |

I think that it is crap that that's going on... I know what its like.. I made the mistake of mentioning that I might join the navy to some people. Now i never here the end of it.. .I never said for sure if I was going to or not.. you know.. but yea..
What you should do is tell them that this is what you are doing and that is what's going to make you happy...If they dont like it just start ignoring them..

Hmm let's see where should I begin?
The reason I put this in Sunset Waterfall is because I've been having some problems lately. It seems that EVERYONE wants to pry into something that should be between my parents and myself. COLLEGE..... college.... college....*echoes* Yeah pretty neat place. =P I've seen it myself. Anyway I have to say that I know my plans. BUT my brother's been sort of.... intervening. On and off lately he's been butting in. Which is getting on my nerves. Not only that but my grandparents are butting in as well... It's like no one wants me to get commissioned into the Air Force Reserves. I've been told by many people I'd be a dog of the government. Asked if it's about money. It's not about money. It's about the challenge. I want the challenge. I want to chase those big swirly hurricanes. And I want to come back to Harris County explaining the whole thing about a hurricane to my parents, brother, sister, grands, and friends and what I do. |
