Here's the teaser I saw:
Does anyone remember the live action TV series that was on FOX very briefly? They even introduced a female turtle whoe the guys named Venus. I thought it was good, but then again I tend to like a lot of things no matter how crappy they might be, if they apply to my fandom. |

 What? I was VERY into the TMNT when I was little...Hell, I still have the first three movies and actually watch them once in a while and STILL enjoy them. **grins sheepishly**
Anywho...Yeah, while I was reading this thread at first, I was kinda thinking they'd prolly mess it up by basing it off of the newer cartoon series, which sucks monkey balls by the way, but Rogue has managed to give me hope. 
Any word on release date or something? Or just sometime in 2007? |

I just saw the teaser trailer on G4 (which is a feat since I rarely watch G4 by choice) and my am I excited.
I adored the original cartoon and movies. They were my heroes every morning before school started. Yes, it was originally a comic book. It was created as a parody of Marvel's New Mutants and another series which featured ninjas (espeically since ninjas were the fad at the time). The guys who made it didn't realize the success they had in their hands. After discovering that their friends were really into it, they decided to take it to a publishing company. Anyway, looks like they made Michaelangelo even more of a comic relief, which is all good. He always was my favorite. |

Wait, there were comics? Interesting... I might just go see it. My nephew had this huge thing for the Turtles when we were kids, so I got stuck playing April all the time... but it was still fun. |

heh, since someone replied I will add this
from what I've read it will be based more on the comics and less on previos movies/tv series. So maybe we'll get lucky and get something new and interesting instead of a lame attempt at doing the same thing over again.... |

Honestly, I don't think I'm all that excited. I can't say I really liked the New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at all ... I'm more than sure it would be more based on the new series than the old, but that's just a guess.
That, or I just can't let my childhood memories and nostalgia be beaten.  |

So apparently there is a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie being made. It's going to be computer animated not live action like the last 4 (I think).
Anyway, I'm kinda excited.... just as long as it doesn't bomb like the new cartoon series did. no links or trailers cause I'm lazy.... search for it if you want more info  |
