| So I took my first steps into becoming a noncommissioned officer. =_= That was the best/worst two weeks I have ever lived in my life. Not because of the stupid death by powerpoint class but it's because of the stupid people who think that they automatically go to a high school sense of mind and ostracize the "weird" ones from the entire class. That's right everyone.. I was living a two weeks of utter hell because a douchebag in my class. You wanna talk about Def con 5? no it was DEFCON 10. =___= This guy was the worst ass whole I have ever met in my life. He got the entire class to leave me out every time I try to talk to someone.
First of all I know that two weeks is not long enough to get to know people and make friends, but two weeks is long enough to mess with someone's self esteem when you purposefully leave him or her out. Note to self.... NEVER DO THAT! |

| That is so childish. I would have confronted him in front of the whole class and asked just what his problem with you was. It isn't high school, and showing that they start acting like they are teenagers the minute they are off the battlefield makes them look like morons. | |||

| It's really like this to me. I had a conversation with my husband while he was walking up. A lot of people asked me why I didn't talk like that to them. You know the tone of my voice and everything... I told them there are two sides to me in the reserves. My reservist side which is on top of everything ready to do what ever take charge of what ever and then there's my civilian side which only my unit has gotten to know. I like to leave it that way. I guess in some way to them I made myself look like a tool or just totally awkward to them because of how they caught me talking to my husband. People just really don't know. I like to keep the two sides separated because I don't want my army side blending in. When that happens, I don't have the leadership skills I need to get through these schools. | |||

| I attempted to do something similar. Have one type of personality for one thing, and set aside another for a diffrent thing.
After a while, it really does get awkward and is very hard to keep going after a while. I eventually had to take all these "Partitioned Personalities" and just merged them into the asshole you all know and love. My life got better, and less complicated. Maybe you should try it? Keep all the strong suits of all those things, and ditch the downfalls. |
