| As Katop leads the group out into the exit tunnel a young Drow male runs up to the group calling out to them. "Wait! Please wait!" Catching up to them he pants out "Thank the Dark Maiden I was able to catch up to you." Regaining his breath he straightened up. He looked only just old enough to be considered an adult. (About 105, or equivalent 16 or 17 in human reckoning.) He was wearing the symbol of a cleric of Elistrie on a chain around his neck, and half plate armor. Sheathed on his left hip was a long sword, and opposite of that a short sword. "I wish to join you on your noble quest." He intoned slightly formally. | |||

| The young drow shifts in his half plate. Speaking to Zaphrina he says "My name is Drance. I hale from the house of Do'arn. Of witch I am the head." He grins sheepishly. "Too bad I am the only member."
Drance's face went serious. "The reason I wish to accompany you is because since I finished my novice training as a cleric I had the calling to wander and do good in the land. And when I saw you something told me that the mission you were to embark upon was one of great importance." He paused his face becoming almost pleading. "Please let me accompany you." |

| *Morwen suppressed the scowl that naturally showed on her face at the sight of a Drow, turning her face away on the pretext of looking down a tunnel. She looked back at Drance as he was greeted by Zaphrina and gave the most welcoming smile she could, which was rather neutral-looking*

| Drance shifted in his rather bulky armor. "Thank you. I'll not disappoint you." He said, smiling at Morwen. Completely unaware that anything could have been the least bit wrong.
"To where are we going, and are we leaving now?" He asks. He young face becoming eager. Then suddenly he looks more serious. "That is if I am permitted to come with you." He looks at Katop, and Skye who had remained quiet. "I can fight." He said indicating the long sword, and short sword. "I won't slow you down. And don't say I'm too young. I really want to come." His expression, and voice turned almost pleading. |

| *The next two days pass by uneventfully. At the end of the second day, Katop leads them to a cave mouth that opens facing east, into a small forest. It is just after sunset and a nearly full moon is high in the sky. Off to the north, you can see a large plume of smoke and occasionally a flame that leaps up over the tree-line. Katop points off to the east.*
Go straight east until you come to a dirt path, when you get there turn south and follow it. It will grow into a large road, and will take you straight to the north gate of Suzail. It is about a six hour walk. *He turns and walks a short way away. As he walks, you hear bone begining to pop, and he shifts quickly into the shape of a young adult bronze dragon. He takes a short run and lifts into the air, soaring north.* |

| Drance's jaw dropped as Katop transformed, and then flew off. "How... How... How..." He stammered. "Was... Was he a dragon?" Drance watched as the dragon disappeared. Then tried to fallow the other two. But as he took his first step the armor snagged at his knees and Drance fell spectacularly with a loud crash of armor. | |||

| OOC: Ahhhh.... just the reactions I was hoping for... I take it that Skye is gone, I will run his character until he desides to show up. Strange events may be common, just FYI.
DM: *As Drance gracefully crashes to the ground, he rolls a short way into the forest, birds flapping off into the night. Skye shakes his head.* Skye: Could he have made more noise? *Skye goes over to help Drance stand up. While Drance is doing his immitaion of a dead soldier, he sees a pair of golden eyes gazing at him from the undergrowth. After a few seconds, they disappear into the woods just before Skye gets to Drance. He reaches down and offers his hand to help pull him back up.* |
