Benja walked onto the stage with applause as he posed for the audience and then took his seat on his desk and fumbled through a couple of notecards and spoke

Ladies and gentlemen, lets get down to business, im gonna introduce my first guest of this interview session, she currently holds a full mod position here at the XGF where I call home. She is the crazy chaos imp herself, give it up for the dark and mysterious and will leave you delirious.........Elara!

*A pale Elven woman, dressed in a dark forest green dress and a black cloak walks gracefully onto the stage. Her long hair drapes down her back like a mahogany colored waterfall, and her forest green bangs frame her angular face nicely as they hang down past her shoulders. Smiling she takes her seat opposite Benja and waves at the audiance, then turns to her host*

That was a very nice introduction Benja, thank you. It's great to be here at last! So, shall we get down to business?

*Elara smiles as she gives a slight shrug of her shoulders*

Simple really, it was about two years ago if I remember correctly. I had been a member of the Vizzedboard for a few months when it went down near Christmas. But while I was there I had met MasterSephiroth, and around that time I was talking to him on AIM trying to figure out what happened to the board, since he was an admin there at the time. He gave me the link to his board at that time, back when it was Masters of Darkness. I joined, but wasn't really active until a month or so later. I found the community thriving nicely, and the atmosphere much more welcoming than the stagnant board of my past, so I made my permantent move here. Since then, I've climbed the ranks to the position that I am in today and I've loved ever minute of it.

On the board or off the board? *Elara chuckles*

Well, none really. There is the occation bout of newbie spamming, but the admins usually take care of that. Then there is the few instances of members fighting with each other, but I just try to remain rational and it's always blown over. That is what I like about this place, it's not all hectic and chaotic like other boards I've been on.

*She tilts her head up a bit as a thoughtful expression crosses her face*

Wow, that was a while back now, huh? I got into simbattling when I came to MoD, where it was a lot more popular than on Vizzed and it intrigued me. Before that I had battled once just to try it out over there, against a blatent godmodder, and it resulted in the whole Dark Goddess persona being born. Once I came here, I decided to build a character around that and keep my Elara character for RPs or lower-powered battles. I remember that DanteMagus helped me build Jade and that Lore trained me, and it was a lot of fun. I won my first battle with her on Vizzed against our own Shaddow and since then I've found it a fun outlet for my thoughts and a way to practice describing battles in my novels.

*She laughs a bit before answering the question*

Well, I've challenged you a few times already, so I think it's obvious to say you. One of these days I would like to fight Sparda again, possibly Kaijin as well. And GuardianOni, since whenever we start a battle something happens and we never finish it. Migh be nice to take on True one of these days as well, seeing as I actually never have fought any other girl simbattler yet.

*Smiles a bit before answering*

Jade started as a concept really. I have this facination with chaos you see, as well as with gods. In my first simbattle ever, back on Vizzed, I used Elara, which was a RP character of mine from a Dungeons & Dragons game. Since the godmodder kept doing such insane things I ended up morphing her into this Dark Goddess. I decided to refine that idea once I came here and Dante Magus kept pestering me to make a character. He helped me with her basic techniques, which I have expanded upon since then... but I basically made her a goddess of darkness and chaos.

Jade is, though and through, another D&D character. In fact, I actually have her on a character sheet (obviously more powerful than here). She is a Fey'ri shaman that ascended to godhood. A Fey'ri is basically a race decended from the union of demons and High Elves... they look like Elves with demonic wings, tails, and glowing eyes... and there skin is actually very fine scales. I created her history originally to tie into the Forgotten Realms setting, but have adapted it now to fit into the campagin setting that I am creating myself (since she will be a god in that setting). Orphaned at birth, the young Jade was taken in by a tribe of Wild Elves, who feared her yet respected her. Raised by the tribal shaman, the girl learned to fight from the barbarian warriors and also learned the druid magic of the shaman. When she neared puberty she was kidnapped by a group of Fey'ri that found her and taken back to her ancestoral homeland where she quickly learned to hate her kin. During that time though she learned of sorcery and how to control the innate magic that she had always had. At this time that the transformations began.

I really liked the idea of her transforming into her goddess form without any memory or control of it, it makes her interesting. Even now that she has memory of it I think it is still good that she has no control over when it happens, though it is fairly predictable. By the time she knows what is going on, she is contacted by the gods and told that she was chosen at birth to ascend to godhood. There is a reason that she gains control over it, but I'm leaving that to be detailed in the novel that I am going to write about it.

Um... okay.

I plan to write at least 8 total, 7 of which are placed in the campaign setting that I am creating for Dungeons & Dragons. So, if you count that the total is up to 9.

Well... the novel most people know of here is my future-based novel, Darkfang. Concept is fairly simple really: America's become totalitarian, and this is the story of one ragtag band of rebels trying to bring the oppressors down. I've had people compare it to 1984 actually, even though I have never read the book.

As for the other books, there are going to be two trilogy sets, one for my character Elara Siannodel and the other for my character Morwen Naïlo. The seventh book will be Jade's story. I guess I can break them down by blocks.

*A screen lowers from the ceiling to just above and behind their heads, on it appears the following information*

Twilight Elf Chronicals- The story of Elara Siannodel, an Elven woman who has lost everyone she has ever cared about, and thusly swears to never get close to anyone again. This is her journey from leading a band of adventurers into Orc and Gnoll (6ft tall hyena people) infested woods and renewing the interest of a powerful Goddess in the world and thusly creating the race of Twilight Elves, to discovering that someone has managed to melt the icy prison surrounding her heart. Shadow, her faithful panther companion, provides much comedy with her sarcastic remarks.

Daughter of the Dark Trilogy- The story of Morwen Naïlo, a crossbreed of Wood Elf and the hated Drow (Dark Elf) who has been living in forced exile since her birth. This is the tale of her perserverance, her quest for vengence on her Drow father and his kin for their evil ways, and her search for acceptance that may not be so fruitless as she thinks.

Ascention- The tale of Jade Shar's mortal life, from her birth, to her kidnapping by her kin and the unlocking of her powers, to the epic battle with an evil force that causes the young Fey'ri to gain control over her gifts and thus rightly ascend to the postion of Goddess of Chaos.

Marocia Campaign Setting- My own D&D world, complete with history of the ages, gods, and other features that are still being worked on. Not very different from the D&D we all know, but different enough to attract an audiance.

Interesting to know that you have a good shot at making 8 novels or 9. When did you get started in D and D and how?

*Elara pauses for a moment, a smile playing on her lips as she recalls her memories*

I got started playing D&D when I was 15, back in my sophmore year of high school. I had joined the Science Club after WhiteRose told me how fun it was, and our club advisor, Mr. Wuchner, was an avid D&D player. I saw him setting up a campaign that he was going to run for some of the other members that played, and I later learned that Rosy was joining as well. The images and the concept seemed really cool to me, so I asked if I could join and learn as well.

My first character was a 2nd Edition Half Elf Druid named Jade. Yeah, the name repeats itself. I learned quickly that 2nd Edition druids at 1st level suck. It was a lot of fun though, and it got much easier when 3rd Edition came out with easier gameplay rules. I've been addicted ever since, and once we graduated, many of the science club members (mainly three of us) joined Charlie's (Mr. Wuchner's) gaming group that he runs at his house biweekly. We've never gotten passed 7th level for various reasons, but it's been a lot of fun. I even ran a early version of Elara and Morwen there, and developed some of thier quirks... particularly Elara's habit of sleeping in trees.

Well, I see the board continuing to grow and get even better. As for me, well... let's just say that it will be a cold day in hell before you log onto Xeogaming and don't see the name Elara anywhere. This place is my online home, and I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon.

*Look out at the audiance for a moment, her green eyes almost meloncholy as she stares thoughtfully at all of the faces*

Thank you. For all your friendships, for your trust, and for everything. To those that I know personally, including those that live far away, I love you all. Without you guys I would not be the person that I am today, and I am eternally grateful for that.

*turns to her host*

And contrary to what you may think, that includes you as well Benja.

*smiles*

I guess that's about it... oh, and buy my books when I get them published or I'll send Eris after you.
