| Oni raised the pole arm to bring the sword up as Alex tried to slice into his shoulder. Alex's punch connects.
The punch was solid. It went underneath the two locks weapons, and made a solid hit into Oni stomach. But there was two unfortunate parts to this. First, Oni's muscles were tensed already, and when Alex removed his hand from his bastard sword Oni readied himself from the impact. So while the punch made an impressive sound, it had no real effect on Oni. Second Oni took the opportunity to use his size and strength to his advantage. (And the fact that Alex has only one hand on his sword, while Oni has two, and leverage.) Oni shoves Alex's blade at its owner, mere inches away. |

| Alex quickly turned his blade flat to make sure it didn't him sharply, and moved slightly to the side so that the sword just went a little back to the side. Next, Alex's hand was already below Oni's staff, and since On'i's staff was up higher, Alex sent up his hand to jab at the top of his throat.
At the same time, Ale will be winging his sword in a diagonal strroke at Oni again, design to go from the left shoulder through Oni's right side, hitting his throat in the process. A strike to the bottom of the neck from the hand however, would cut through his throat, if the hand was used by any competent and strong person such as Alex. |

| Since Alex and Oni them selves were mere inches apart, and both weapons were in between them Alex’s fist had about half an in of room to make the swing. Oni let Alex’s fist catch on the locked weapons.
But Oni knew he needed to break this lock or nothing would happen. Oni simply pushed off from Alex, putting them about five feet apart. As Oni set him self he jabbed at Alex's face. Then slashed at his shoulder. |

| Unfortunatley, the push that Oni tried failed, As Alex had his free arm holding on the the staff. So, if Oni tried this, then as Oni was already pushing, he should lose his staff in the process.
However, Alex was pucched back about one foot, making them about a yard away. Alex kept his arm bent around the staff, trying the keep it pushed up, then sent and underhand stab with his sword toward Oni's stomach, which now was possible, As Alex would simply need to get his weapon another foot away. For Oni to block this attack, he would have to block from above, which was hard because Alex would slow him down too much with his arm around the staff. But Alex sword would go fast, and at this speed should stab at least partway into Oni. |
