| My friend and I are collaborating on a project of conceptual drawings for a soon to be realized Graphic Novel project. He's been over the past few days, drawing and drawing based on vague descriptions. After moving the source of my previous IG art, the direct links were broken, so the old thread was trashed. In this thread will be some of our concepts. Mind you, my friend is really fucking good. I formulated all the ideas, and we both tied all the loose ends up, art-wise.
Let's start with an old standard; Xeios Ballain. I kept the Braod sword, mainly because I didn't like the cane sword idea that Xeios proposed to me. I also kept the suit and tie, since Xeios' description was far too derivitive of Hellsing. My concept Justin's concept Speaking of vampires, let's talk about Chaos. Only a stick figure outlining his garb, and one face detail are available, but my shadowy concept is also available. Work on the body will commence soon. My concept Justin's Concepts Dasso, the Government's vampire, is also now concieved. I had no idea what to do for him, so Justin concoted a grand idea. Justin's concept Another vampire that wasn't mentioned in the RP, Lucretia, will also make her appearance, since a female vampire sounds hot. Justin's Concept Now for some main characters. My Keira concept wasn't too great, and looked too blah, so Justin and I collaborated and came up with some new ideas for her. My concept Justin's Concept Kevin was pretty easy to get out. Justin gave him the nickname of Kevin "Wild Cat" Katsuyori. I still like my concept, even though his is damn good. My concept Justin's Concept Francine was another one that was pretty fun. Not much to say about the production in this one. My concept Justin's concept Remember Morrighan? Of course you do. I made the breasts way too big, but I like my concept's hair a bit better. My concept Justin's concept Everybody loves Jack. And when Cairoi sees this, he'll go berserk Sorry we forgot his trenchcoat. My concept Justin's concept I realized the lack of Werewolves in this series, so I made another one to work for the 369: Wes, the werewolf. He's also the only black guy in the series so far. I didn't do a concept, but Justin did, and he doesn't shade skin tones, so he just looks like a member of Limp Bizkit. Justin's Concept Christine was a fun character for me, since she was the most detailed character I've done for this series. Justin's redition reminds of Ed from Cowboy bebop though 
My concept My second concept Justin's concept Deux was an odd one to make, since there was really no set design for he. I just wen t on a whim, and made an appearance that would match her personality. My concept with my stupid note attached; my scanner didn't pick up her tanned tones, so it didn't matter anyways. Justin's concept James was pretty easy. We took a general Stormtrooper uniform and modified it to make his military outfit. I have a concept, I just don't know offhand where it is. When I find it, I'll upload it. Justin's concept Chaos is now finished. This will be the final version of him. Justin's concept This is the only concept of a Sentinal that we have. My original idea was it to be big and bulky, like Alphone Elric. The slender version pretty kick-ass though. Justin's Concept I'm going to continuously edit this as our drawings get finished. | Alright, I've talked to you about how I like them all, but I'm going to put my favorite one and give a criticism of the other.
Xeios: My favortie is 1. 2's the face it needs to look younger. Chaos' new one is crazy! In a good way. Dasso looks awesome. Nuff said. Lucretia is awesome. Nuff said. New Kiera is the most awesome thing ever! The orginial Kevin is better. The other one is just not close to what I imagined. I prefer your Francine, cause the other one looks weird. Morrighan's second one is better, cause like what you said, teh hair. I already told you of what I thought of Jack. The public needs not hear my words. Wes is awesome. I really like the idea. I thought we were lacking werewolfs in total. Christine is awesome, and yes, the third one looks like Ed. Tis silly. I like your Duex better, but that's just me speaking. James looks like Obi-wan Kenobi. |

| My opinions in order:
Xeios: Yours is better, his looks too old. Chaos: New one looks cool, could be bigger to see more detail though. Dasso: Really nice Lucretia: She reminds me very much of a Goblin. Cool otherwise. Kiera: New one is badass! Kevin: His body is better, but your face looks much better than his. Francine: Again, his body concept is cool... but the face... no. Morrighan: I like the new one, though why is her nose so damned big? Jack: I personally like yours better, Justin's concept makes him look too young Wes: Cool... dumb expression though. The lack of Wolves is bad in the RP, since all of them except for True/Francine don't post. Christine: I can't even remember this character. Yours are better though, since the other one is Ed with a gun and it scares me. Duex: Your face/age concept looks better, but his body wins (a running trend) James: The storm trooper thing has to go, at least the bottom half... and he looks nothing like Kevin. Sentinal: Shiney. |

I've already talked to him about the anatomy and persoanlity relationships in the characters. He draws in a less serious fashion than I, but he's still going to do all the art since he can do anything in any perspective. I can just ask him to change a few things around for you  |

| Shit; I gotta post some new stuff...
A new and improved Jack since people kinda complained a little about him. I edited the nose myself with a pencil, since the original nose was too wide. Kevin was also revamped, as I thought he looked too annoying and seemed like a lout in the previous concept Justin made. Xeios and Chaos have a new light as well. Xeios looks talller, and Chaos just looks bad-ass in my opinion. I know Kaijin's not going to like this at all. I don't care. Francine is also looking more serious, as would fit her nature. I just can't comprehend the tig ol' bitties. Kevin's Mech has become a reality. We are going to incorporate it after all. (Last edited by Scheissenkopf on 12-28-05 04:55 PM) |
