A lone man walked across the desert temple, as the sun was setting into the background, casting a vermillion shade across the land. Black Plate mail lined every inch of his body, and in his hand he gripped a Greatsword, the Harbinger, forged from the pits of hell itself. This man is Murimasa, the essence of all that is evil in the world incarnate. And he is looking for a fight.

All seem to freeze in darkness and fear as lone aura made its presence known, all across the sands. Life dared not move as the presence became stronger, like an immense shadow become deeper and fuller with each dying breath of the candle's flame. A soft, gentle wind stirred the sands, almost parting it, as if attempting to set a path for someone or something.

Whispers...everywhere. Warnings from the dead? Warnings from the cosmic beings above? Regardless, whispers began to fill the land. Chilling, cold, and incoherent, many voices gathered and whispered, their foreign words echoing throughout the desert. Suddenly, a hush. They've gone silent. It could mean only one thing...he's here.

In the distance, a significant figure emerged, seeming to appear from nowhere. He was advancing slowly towards the lone man who stood there, waiting. As he grew closer, his features could be more easily seen. A tall man, with long, black, spikey hair, with a light skin tone. His attire was hidden completely by the large, yet magnificent black cloak he wore. His dark brown eyes scanned the area as his slender right hand slowly reached for the handle of the massive sword, which was strapped to his back.

Slowly, he drew it, revealing the glory, magnificence, and terror that was his sword. A truly formidable weapon indeed, boasting a length that was nearly as great as its master. Wielding a large blade, with a single carving on the very bottom of the blade where it met with the hilt and handle. The blade shone, despite the fact that the sun was slowly setting.

He stood there, the image of a fearsome warrior. His face showed no expression as his dark brown eyes slowly met that of his opponent's. As if his weapon wasn't enough to bring great fear to his opponents, his deadly presence would.

Hell's wrath knows no bounds. Kept there for eons, Murimasa understands true fear, and is not affected by the fright any longer. As he gazed to the stranger who called the heavens to speak to the earth, Murimasa's eyes thinned. "What business have you here? Are you here in search of death, or is it glory you seek?" His heavy tone and stern voice conveyed his feelings across the sands, as he expected an answer, and gripped the handle of his weapon.

He did not reply for a moment as he simply just stared at the man that stood before him. He could tell his opponent was no human. But then again, when has that ever stopped him? A small wind blew at his black cloak and long, spikey hair as he took his time, as if trying to find the best words for an answer. His grip on the handle of his sword, however, remained calm and loose.

"I've come for both...and much more."

His left hand seemed to twitch ever so slightly.

"And you?"

"This land is purged. Look to the south. Those are graves, my enigmatic freind; they've all been slain by my hand. You are the last one here. I will grant you a moment to pray to your impotent God before I gut you."
He planted his sword in the ground, and held his hands on the hilt, waiting for his new opponent to finish his prayer, and cut him to ribbons. *There's something odd about this one... I can't put my finger on it, but his strength... He is quite mighty, indeed..."

"Friend. There is still one empty grave."

His expression suddenly changed from a calm, indifferent warrior into a look of great insanity and chaos. A wild and large grin appeared on his face as he glared at his opponent, chuckling under his breath.

"Not only will I disgrace you by using that grave to bury your head..."

A soft, almost indistinguishable red glow appeared, eminating from his left hand for only a few seconds.

"I will tear off your limbs and feed them to the vultures."

Slowly, a new, strange aura grew, filling the arena with its terrifying power. Yet, it was simply a mere drop of the ocean.

"As for the rest of your corpse...I shall drop it into the ocean."

He took a single, small step back with right leg so that his left side now faced that of his opponents. A simple sword stance that he has always started battles with. Regardless of its simplicity, it was extraordinarily effective.

"There's no need to pray. I am god."

Murimasa's eyes went wide, and he grinned. Soon, he broke out into laughter. "You're insanity; your anger... That much hate directed towards one target! Beautiful! Simply amazing! You're going to be fun; I can tell!"
Murimasa drew his sword up once more, and stood in a defense stance. His sword began to glow, and he held it in his right hand, and with his left hand, he motioned for Sparda to come. He retained the malicious grin in his face as he waited for the fight to commence.

Sparda wasted no time. It just wasn't his style to waste time. The moment Murimasa signaled for him to attack, he didn't spend another second to conjur his first strike. Without any warning or hesitation, a large wave of sand suddenly arose right in front of Murimasa, controlled by the will of Sparda and his immense psychic powers. The wave of sand, approximately stretching ten feet high and twenty feet wide came crashing down at the significantly smaller opponent with such force and impact, each grain of sand would have easily ripped Murimasa's flesh from his bones.

While this was done, Sparda's body remained loose and relax, never once leaving his stance, regardless of how large the wave was.

As the wave collapsed upon him, Murimasa raised his sword to shield his face from the granuals. The rest of the parrticles bounced off his platemail, and they subsided back into the desert from whence they came. "Oh, please. I know you're stronger than that." The glowing in his sword was completed. he had been charging his bower for the duration of the debate, and Sparda's attack. Without much warning, Murimasa swung his sword with quite a bit of force, expeliing a lightning bolt of dark energy.

Attack name: Dark Bolt
Attack type: Projectle; same properties as a lightning bolt.
Approximate diameter of projectile: 1.53 microns
Elemental type: Dark
Speed of projectile: 128,000 mph (slower than the speed of light; more like the speed of dark)

As Murimasa took his time, swinging his sword, before expelling the lightning bolt of energy, Sparda was already ready with an invisible, yet existing psychic wave barrier around him. Thus, he didn't have any need to react very fast when the bolt was shot forth for he was already prepared. As the Dark Bolt was about to make contact with Sparda, the air around him seemed to become distorted as the Dark Bolt was suddenly sent reeling into a totally different location: the sky.

Sparda just stared at his opponent, never leaving his stance, as he simply waited. A new aura was being emitted from his sword and body now...one not felt before...a totally new feeling. It seemed that he was preparing something. Whether it was an attack of some sort, or perhaps some kind of defensive measure, it was unknown. What was known was that it would be big...very big.

Murimasa grinned yet again, as he saw Sparda demonstrate his defensive prowress, his capacity for protection. Murimasa lowered his stance, and began to walk towards Sparda, and stood about 4 feet from him. "Fight me, coward. Fight me, unless that big sword of yours is just for show." Murimasa regained his defensive stance, and scowled. "En Guarde!"

He didn't move. He just seemed frozen in that position as if waiting for something. But didn't look like he was waiting for his opponent...no, Sparda was waiting for something else. The aura around him grew more radiant, its presence growing stronger by the second a soft white glow engulfed his figure, ever so slightly.

A phenomenon then occured as massive wing-like structures slowly emerged from Sparda's back. Yet, these did not have the appearance of the wings that belonged to angels or devils...for the wings were invisible...all that could be seen of them were the veins and arteries within the wing itself. For now, only a pair of these 'blood' wings appeared from his back, extending to about 10 feet each.

All the while, Sparda never left his stance...

What was he planning?

This is absurd... He thought to himslef as he watched his opponent take even more of his sweet time. "I have no time for this!" He jumped back a bit, andleapt high into the sky, and attempted to slice up Sparda with his sword as he descended upon him, even though he knew that his initial attack wouldn't matter much in the long run.

"Patience is a virtue."

Sparda was silent and remained there, surrounded by his white aura as he watched his opponent foolishly try to take the initiative. Already, he could see that Murimasa left himself completely opened as he attempted to strike Sparda with his sword. A grave mistake on his part. As Murimasa descended, Sparda held out his left hand and pointed it at the incoming figure of his opponent. Before a single sword swipe could make any contact with him, Sparda let loose a deadly attack known as Decimate2, right at Murimasa's head with unprecedented accuracy, since the distance between the two fighters was greatly decreased. Any hope of damaging Sparda in the process with the Harbringer would be shattered since the aura around Sparda's body acted almost like another layer of armor that prevented penetration of his skin.

As all this was done, another pair of wings emerged from his back, extending to only about 5 feet.
~~

Decimate2- In many ways, Decimate2 is exactly the same as Decimate1. In fact, the only differences between the two attacks are the dramatic changes in speed, width, and composition. In terms of width, the beam is expanded to one centimeter. In terms of speed, the minimum speed in which the beam can travel is approximately 200fps+ [this, however, can be increased depending on how much psychic energy is used to launch the beam.] However, the main difference between Decimate 2 and Decimate1 is the composition of the beam in Decimate2. While the beam of Decimate1 is simply a non-elemental beam existing on the plane of existence in which the fight takes place, the beam of Decimate2 essentially exists only on a part of the plane of that existence. This attack is based off of the Law of One Divided Plane, a proven theory of his time in the land of Ulgath [this law is fictional]. The law stated that while one thing can exist on one plane, certain parts of that one thing can exist on a separate part of that one plane if the plane were to be divided. For example, a fighter dressed in armor and sword exists only one plane. However, the sword and the fighter’s armor exists on one plane, the plane being that of those that are not living and the fighter would exist on another plane, the plane being that of those that are living. When these two sub-planes are combined together, they form the present plane, containing both living and non-living things. The planes are differentiated by the specific life forces that every thing [living and non living] exerts. It is because of this law that Decimate2 is so deadly. Because Sparda is capable of tapping into whatever plane he wishes to [due to the necessity of a divinity being able to tap into the different realms], he is also capable of tapping into a sub-plane. In the case of Decimate2, the beam is formed, not in the plane if existence, but in the sub-plane of living things. In other words, the beam is unaffected by anything in the sub-plane of non living things [such as armor, shields, etc.] Therefore, the beam will not come into contact with anything but the opponent’s unprotected body. However, due to the extensive energy needed for such a sudden burst attack, its accuracy is extraordinarily limited when shot at something beyond eight feet of the source in which the beam was unleashed. Also, because launching the beam and tapping into the sub-plane both require massive amounts of concentration, Sparda’s psychic powers are completely shot for approximately two turns [including the opponent’s].It is often quite impossible for the opponent to absorb this blast since the beam contains a special ‘x element’, which prevents in the interference of its particle/wave structure.

As he descended, he could clearly see Sparda's hand extend, and suspected an attack.. He quickly reacted to the well expressed gesture of a projectile, and dodged to the side. As he did so, the beam grazed his cheek. Startled by this sorcery, Murimasa cut of his attack, and glided to the side away from Sparda, and scowled.

OCC: My apologies for the delay.

The aura grew greater and more magnificent. Sparda's figure as a whole became difficult to distinguish as the radiance of the light all around him grew greater and greater. Now, it became nearly impossible for the opponent to even begin to comprehend what sorts of changes were going about his opponent. What could be told was that Sparda's presence seemed to rapidly increase, yet, it was not the same 'presence' felt earlier at the beginning of the battle.
