| This thread is for posting things that u saw that were cool. I have 3:
1) In X2 when Magneto pulls the pins out of all the guards grenades. 2) In the Italian Job when Edward Norton says "You've lost the best thing you had, the element of surprise", then Mark Whalberg punches him and says "Surprise." 3) (this one's long) In the first season finale of LOST (no spoilers), they find a crate of dynamite, that they are going to use to blow...something up Spoiler: and this science teacher guy (Arnzt i think) is explaining how it's turned into nytro glycerin, he's holding a stick all wrapped up in a wet shirt, and he says "We have to be careful, because nytro glycerin is very tempermental. Just---" BOOM! and he explodes, raining down pieces of him over everyone. When they cut back to them later Hurley (the fat guy) says "That was messed up. He just...exploded." Then later, Jack asks Hurley to get him something, and Hurley points and says "You got some Arnzt on you"
its this huge mysterious metal hatch that they found buried in the jungle and thats it for now. EDIT: no idea whats with the slashes EDIT: ok, theyre gone... (Last edited by ShredFx on 06-23-06 05:26 AM) |

| Heh, there are 50 million things I've seen in movies that are cool, but I'll try and some it up as best I can. I do tend to think random things are cooler than others, though:
1) The entire opening scene of X2 up until the knife hits the table and the ribbon is shown to read "Mutant Rights Now!" 2) O-ren Ishii's entry scene in Volume 1 with her Yakuzaa and Gogo. It's always been a theory of mine, one which has been copied by others now, that Tarantino makes all of his money off making walking look cool. Seriously, look at the walking scene at the beginning of Reservoir Dogs. Although it's cool, it's not near as frosty as O-ren's entrance into the House of Blue Leaves. 3) The fighting scene at House of Blue Leaves with Beatrix Kiddo versus the Crazy 88. When I saw this in theaters on opening day, it was so funny to see people getting sick. I was immediately in love with the movie. 4) Kiriyama's death in Battle Royale. 5) Merv's and Dwight's stories in Sin City. Really, that whole movie is cool, but I narrowed it down a little. For the absolute, coolest moment though? I guess I'd have to go with they reveal that the hookers manage Old Town. See? I think random things are cool.. 5) Oh jeez, if only I could remember exact moments from my years of watching Xena: Warrior Princess. All my favorite episodes involve Joxer, though, and those are more adorable than cool. 6) The scene from Shindig, one of the earlier episodes of Firefly, where the older guy comes to defend Kaylee from the bitchy girls at the party. I can't remember EXACT scenes that were cool, but they more than likely involved Jayne and Zoe. I'll post more when they come to mind.  |

| oo i got another
1) this one isnt rlly from movies or tv, its from one of the astonishing xmen comics, written by Joss Whedon (yay joss). The xmen are fighting this huge ass sentinal thing, and it opens up and sends out about 3 milllion little insect robots. wolverine tells colossus to throw him, and storm says "but theres a whole city out there" and he says "ya, i killed a whole city once. funny story." then he goes sailing into the robots. 2) in the firefly episode train job, when mal has niska's goon tied up and hes trying to give back the money (because they didnt do the job), and the guy says to keep the money and use it to pay for a funeral, because he's gonna hunt him down, "and the last thing you see will be my blade." and mal kicks him and he flies into serenity's turbine engine thing that had been starting up. |
