| Wowza, Thank you Microsoft for making a piece of crap apparently worth a lot of money
I doubt I will ever buy Vista or any future MS products (excluding games) and will save the $100 + USD for a sound card, more memory, graphics card, etc. etc. on a linux box. I'll probably just have a dual boot of linux and xp until xp becomes so obselete that I just stay with linux forever. Your thoughts/comments on these prices for an operating system? |

| More expensive than some of the top of the line graphics cards out there ... maybe even with a good chunk of ram on top of that check.
Honestly, I'm with you in just sticking to XP until its dead, Hobo. It does the job, and its stable when you keep your computer clean. I'm still not very interested in Vista at all. I remember hearing or reading some articles that it has security issues. Its very secure, but TOO secure and the software blocks and prevents you from using other great software out there. I can't think of anything specifically, I just remember hearing Vista has problems with registrations, certificates, and whatnot. (Last edited by Xeowar on 08-28-06 10:55 PM) |
