I title it that because of my firm beliefs in underaged crap you know? My sis she drinks ofcourse... I have a problem with it. She's fuckin 17 and I have to deal with her.... Drinking... It upsets me. It really does and she doesn't know how much it does. She really doesn't. I understand the laws of underaged drinking here is if the parents allow it and it's only the blood child along with the fact that it takes place at home. BUT. If it is not it's free game. It's not a problem now, but it's going to turn into one if she continues. She just poored a glass of Bailey's infront of me. I can't stand that...

ANYWAY, I get invited to this New Year's Eve Party. I'm like okay cool. Sis is going to be over at a friends. I can watch all of my friends get shit faced, and I can make fun of them. Why? because of the fact I am 19 and I like to set a good example.... (Mainly because if I get caught drinking, it's not only a fine and the person incharge goes to jail, but it's also a dock in my pay and my rank goes poof). My sis thinks that she can come with me and drink a couple of beers. I'm like HELL NO. Why? Because not only is it free game with the police, it'll give me an article 15. Why? Because I'm her gaurdian at the moment. I'm the "adult" in charge of her. I have been briefed of these rules for the longest time in BCT. "The next generation must be watched closely," the drill sergeants say, "Or they'll dock our pay and not know it!" (Honestly I think that's a scare, but I'm not going to take my chances.)

It's hilarious how my life ends up in twists and turns. It really sucks when you get stuck between decisions. I honestly feel not at home in my own house anymore too. Why? Because of the fact that I sleep on the couch, my brother moved back in, and my sis is in my room (Which I have found remnants of beer bottles in). She's been drinking in MY room. MY ROOM. A no alcohol zone. The only place that my mother even has respected with her drinks. I have explained, pushed, and made a big deal that my room stays like that. Now the only thing that remains of me in there is a "memory wall". Which I love but... I just hate... HATE the crap that goes on in there now. It doesn't even feel like a room I want to sleep in.

If I go to my mom she'll just make it seem like she's the one to blame because she wasn't a good enough mother to Kris. Thus I'm put into a guilt trip.

Honestly... I just wanted to be like my brother and hang out... alone with out the nagging sibling. Which I have for the past few days, and it's wonderful.

Just tell her no and stick to it. If she doesn't like it, oh well... not like she can complain about it to your mom or anything like that.

I'm not at all sure of the circumstances, but have you tried talking to her? Communication usually works wonders. I can see that it bothers you a lot that your younger sister is drinking, but I think the same thing happened to my older brother. Only he stopped because beer isn't really healthy drinking. I too am sober, so I really sympathize with you.

She recieved the nick name LM meaning Little Mom for watching out for me so many times. I think she thinks she's an adult or something, she has the privilege to drink... right... She's already desecrated my room. It gets on my nerves... It really does.

Point out how much it hurts you that she has done that to your room. I think that reminding her that she is younger than you also might be a good way to put her in her place. I admit that I am guilty of drinking underage myself, but I was always respectful to those around me and if I was told to not drink in someone's room I wouldn't.

Maybe she thinks drinking will make her seem more of an adult, in that case. But couldn't you always--lock your door?

I already have and goes "IT WAS JUST ONE BEER..." and "IT'S NOT YOUR ROOM ANYWAY!" Everyone here except for my mom and my dad believe that I'm not living in this house. My grands even offered me the extra room in THEIR house because they know. They KNOW what the hell is going on, they know how upset I am.

Edit: You all know how upset I am. Everyone except for my brother and my sister know how upset I am. THEY CAN'T CATCH MY DRIFT!! I've tried everything... GAH!!!

It would appear that the point for drift catching is past. Considering the issues you've had at home anyway it might be a good idea to move in with your grandparents. The only other options that I see are explain, in no minute detail, just what you mean to her; tell your parents; or (and this is the more messed up one since she's family) call the cops on her when you know she'll be drinking. The last one would make you very unpopular and still cause your mom to go into "I wasn't good enough" mode.

Of course, I don't see how her doing that is a guilt trip toward you... toward her maybe, but not you.

I think you need to calm down. You can only do so much, and then additional action does nothing. And try talking to your brother and sister, with no soft words. Other than that, I don't think you should go behind their backs unless it's utterly necessary. But I guess if it really bothers you that much, you could take up your grandparent's offer.

she is drinking bailey's?....to get drunk?
If its working she must have an iron stomach, no body weight, or have no earthly clue what she is doing. It sounds like a silly phase and hopefully it will blow over and with most seventeen year olds that is exactly what it is....i hope at least she drinks decent beer.
otherwise it is a serious waste of a misdemeanor
