Yeah, I used to suffer from insomnia as well. I've found meditation works great, but it takes a bit to get into. Once again for emphasis though, it really works well. And I'm not referring to the buddist lotus position and sounding out "ohm," but more of like mental silence. My trick is to divert attention away from my thoughts and try to focus on everything else (senses-wise) at once. Apart from what you can or rather can't see (because logically, your eyes should be closed since you're trying to sleep), focus on what you hear, feel, and (hopefully should be pleasant or at least non-existant) smell. Somehow, for me at least, placing my attention in my senses helps me to eventually reach that place of mental silence and achieve sleep. Hopefully, it can work for you too. But you don't have to try my way. Best to find whatever works for you. Good luck with the insomnia.

Hint: Blue Oyster Cult...
Hint2: More Cowbell! Hint3: Mainly because I don't remember the name of that song, but perhaps some of you know what song I'm talking about. |

Hahaha. So that's it, then eh? That's what I get for just watching my CSN acoustic concert dvd often. (Last edited by FilteredSight on 11-06-05 08:35 AM) |

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that, but yes, I definitely see what you mean. I tend to make my own backgrounds via photoshop editing myself. Usually though, when I layer, I prefer to use more than one pic and do something a little more like the background I'm using now (which is also another piece I've put together myself). Also, when working with layers, you can also change the order of the layers by holding the left mouse button and dragging. This helps when you want to merge different layers but not others when you're working with more than three layers. It may be an obvious piece of information for some, but I've encountered quite a number of people who have forgot about this data or rather didn't know it. The full background is on my myspace, but pm me if you wish to see it.

There are so many things that can be discussed as to what happens in afterlife, but I do believe death is also important, because if it weren't meant to occur, then death would never have existed. I just think that some people or cultures, maybe even faiths (I will say I do not know which particulars) may focus on either one too much. Both death and life are equally important, hence their contrasting existences.

This keyboard needs no introduction. If anything, it will leave you either calling various people/pulling strings to get one or thanking other nerds like ourselves who had the ambition to design http://www.artlebedev.com/portfolio/optimus/ . Yes, for this is the Keyboard.

Basically, you can program the keys to enable different properties & actions, such as the quake setting.

Thanks. I've known about this one for awhile, and I really do hope it will come out next year. What I really want to see however is the next version of this keyboard which will feature a more ergonomic design. If you think that's pretty cool, I have some other interesting things to show, but I'll be posting it in the Crazy Nonsense forum because I think it belongs there.

I already have it downloaded from the site (yes it is free download). I'm just seriously considering whether I should install it and actually play it. Hmm, but I still have Tales of Phantasia to complete (the inconvieniences of being somewhat of an academic "overacheiver").

I could easily see them teaming up with the group that masterminded the new controllers from Nintendo...
I've wondered for a while now... why not just put a damn input for the speakers in the car stereo that'll override the internal cd player? Oh... wait... capitalistic venturists leading companies... yeah. Dammit. (Last edited by FilteredSight on 12-12-05 06:08 AM) |

Now, for quite some time, people have had the ability to own and ride a two-wheeled contraption known as the bicycle. Yet as of late, people have begun to lose interest. Spruce someone's day up with a pointless and expensive gift that they'll never use like the http://www.bikeforest.com/tread/index.php . They can have the chance to make some sweet jumps http://www.bikeforest.com/tread/treadmill_sweet_jumps.wmv !
*Rides/runs off into the distance* I suggest you look around at some of the other bikes they have, like the hula bike. Be sure to look closely at the ad at the top of the page to see how one would ride it (you can imagine, but a video clip adds perhaps more than what the imagination can provide. Heh. |
