If only I had seen this a couple weeks ago. There was one night when I was out with Zoso trying to get food and every drive-thru we went to, although their posted times said they were still open, claimed they were closed "for a few minutes" or didn't anwser their intercom despite many of them standing by the window. One of them, a McDonald's in fact, didn't say anything for a couple minutes and just kept making all sorts of noises.  |

| "Love Actually" is on TV. Seems like every person I've run into with two X-chromosomes who's seen this movie and told me about it adores this film, cries over it, what have you.

| This was a rather tiring weekend. Tiring in a good way.
Was a good end to a tiring week. Tiring in a not-so-good way. Friday, drove up along the coast with Zoso. Yesterday, went to the Lunar festival and watched the Golden Dragon parade in Chinatown, then went to the LA County art museum to hang out and kill some time before Zoso and I went to see Phil (formerly of Sound & Fury)'s stand-up show.* *Thank you so much, Rosy, for checking the location. Though in past years I used to be glued to the TV for the Academy Awards, these last couple years I didn't even bother with them. Nothing that I was really into was in the running this year (outside of Little Miss Sunshine and Pan's Labyrinth), and the Oscars have become more and more of a travesty each year.

Heroes is EXCELLENT. Let me tell you, as someone who normally hates serial shows like this (I despise the demand to watch EVERY SINGLE EPISODE in order to understand the next one thing), it's absolutely astounding. It starts off slow, but like every train with a lot of weight on it, it lurches forward and it soon reaches break-neck speed.

Tim Kring, the show's creator, has made a point in saying that he wants a bigger bang at the end of every episode and each bigger than the last. I mentioned in the tattoo thread that I plan on getting the symbol that appears on Jessica's back and I still plan on it. Incidentally HRG is one of my favorite characters and I shed several tears over the ending of this last episode. I know he'll be back in next episode, but fuck, it just got to me. I've loved HRG even when he was construed as a bad guy. He's been one of my favorites from the beginning practically.

I recently re-picked up watching some episodes of Kingdom Hospital. And that show made me love HRG even more since the actor appeared on that show and he was just so damned lovable there. Holy hard-on, indeed. Yeah, I don't really care for TV any more either. Haven't since the 3rd season of Xena (when I was in middle school). I watched Smallville for the first season and got very bored with it quickly. Right now, my list of favorite shows that are still putting out new episodes is down to three: Heroes, My Name is Earl, and Mythbusters. Otherwise, TV is on just as background noise.

I've been excited about this for some time, and this is the first time I've seen them actually speak and interact with other things in the movie. All of the previews prior to this one were just them jumping from rooftop to rooftop together.

I'm kind of bummed that he was here in L.A. and I was late on finding out. This is the first time that I've ever been able to vote for someone and it wasn't a matter of choosing between two evils. I really do adore and believe in Obama and all that he stands for.

Granted, but it's because you're on disability for a bus falling on your body, crushing it into nothing. I've taken to ignoring that there are announcements on this board. Why? Why because even if I've already read an announcement, multiple times even, when I log on using a different computer, it shows the old one again as new. It even shows up on my computer all the time since I recently stopped having a static IP.

Is there a way to, like PMs, stop having the announcement show up per account rather than IP? It's just when there is a new announcement, I don't see it for a time because I'm used to there being a "new" one there. Just wondering if this is possible.
