Yeah, I dropped Wildlife Biology partially for the fieldtrip thing, however if you can get a ride with someone in the class it isn't so bad, also she lets you out earlier so you can get to your next class usually. My recent additions: Bottles that appear clean, but are not and ruin your beer because of it. Being expected to drive everyone everywhere without a penny of gas money. Food helps though. Pine snakes that have delusions of venomhood, and think they are rattlesnakes. Stomach that won't shrink when you're trying to cut down on food. Whoever decided that essays were the best thing in the world. DMs that won't tell you when the game is.

Yes, it did remain in character for her quite well, however the lipsinking is just horrible. I've never heard the song before... or songs, I should say... and well, it was interesting to say the least. |

Firstly, I know the feeling of having your fiancee leave you. My initial reaction to this post is thinking lower of this girl for her actions, since it seems more than coincidence that she makes up with this friend and then leaves you. However, you must also keep in mind that the way the mind of a teenage girl works makes absolutely no sense (yes, I am aware that I'm a chick saying this... it's true). Years later, they miss that "clingy" guy they had when they are dating some asshole who barely pays attention to them unless they want a blowjob. Eventually, if lucky, they find someone that will make them happy and things work out. Getting you life in order is a good thing, and you shouldn't lose that just because of all this. Sure, I don't agree that it was good of her to say you needed to change who you were... since I don't think that anyone has the right to change who you are... but as you said, you were happy and active. You need to get back to that place. You're young, you have a good career ahead of you (at least I assume the military is providing you some decent form of education), you have a good family, and you're in good health. You have every reason to be happy. Feelings fade after time, though it may take awhile, or perhaps you will find someone new. You never know, but if you hang onto the past you will never move on, so accept it and just let it go.

I disagree about killing nothing on September 11th. Why? Yes, people died. People died when Pearl Harbor was attacked as well, but do we not kill on that day? No. What about the night Titanic sunk? Nope. Most people don't even acknowledge the date anymore. Given 50 years it will most likely happen to 9/11 as well. But really, countries in Europe have had days when many people were killed as well, but they don't look back on the day each year like some morbid holiday. They rebuild and move on, like we should be. Yes, honor the dead. Visit the memorial and pay respects... but don't let the past control your lives. Remember, but move on. I told my mom about the dove hunting thing, she finds the irony quite amusing as well.

To Seticus: The basic thing that most people are saying to you right now is this: you can post all you like, making those posts as long as you like, but for the love of all things sacred make it readable! You used to write grammatically correct, I don't know why that changed. And don't try to use being deaf as a defence, because that would have absolutely no bearing on written words. Also, in noting that nearly all your posts are negative and filled with ill opinions of this board and pretty much everyone on it, I have to ask this: Why do you post here, if you hate it?

Now, to the topic at hand. I agree that this is one of the best message boards that I've been on. Never been to IceBoard... and I think my stint on Acmlm's was less than a week. NFF is another great board and I hope that the activity picks up there again. The only other such board I've been on has been Vizzed... and I am not about to go into the problems they have. So yes, huzzah to Xeogaming!

Taking a break is a nice way of saying breaking up in my opinion, still hurts the same when your the one that didn't make the call.

Just make sure that you two communicate about the issues you're having. Don't rely on her "realizing she failed" if you've never said anything about it. Be clear, be precise. Don't be accusing (calling someone a failure will drive them away in a heartbeat), but say how it made you feel. Hopefully it will go well for you and it will work out, I wish you the best in that. If not, it will pass. Please forgive the lack of sugar coating, I've grown tired of it.
