Life goes on. Was called in for jury duty on Friday. Sat there for a few hours and everyone was dismissed despite a busload of prisoners pulling up in front of the courthouse. I've taken up knitting. I feel a little more at ease. Perhaps a tad more patient than I usually am. So far I'm still keeping my new year's resolution of trying/doing/learning something new every day. So far it's been pretty positive. Still have 2 weeks left before I start school. Brandon's going back Tuesday. Might go to the cheap theater on Tuesday and finally see Appaloosa. |

| When I was younger I'd always wanted to do absinthe, not really knowing it was a drug or illegal, but mostly because I loved old movies and often in ones that took place in France people were drinking absinthe.
Now a days I'm always wondering what smoking opium was like. I did projects on it in high school health classes and the whole idea of a complete euphoria sort of made me wonder. That and the way people make it seem like "Little Nemo in Slumberland" makes me curious. Despite all the curiosity, though, I've never done a non-prescribed drug in my life outside of alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine. I probably will when I'm older--like in my 60s or 70s, should I live that long.

It's especially funny to me going to these cons and seeing these people firsthand. I was an exhibitor at the con the "Unsexy no Jutsu" went to and the shudders never ceased whenever she'd walk by the both my friend Patrick and I were working. |

| Cosplayers are amazing, especially when they it down right or even if it's not perfect and they just want to have fun at a convention. It's just funny checking out the ones with terrible costumes who are taking themselves WAY TOO seriously.

I'd totally be down for heading up there, but we'd pretty much be sitting around staring at the wall because I'm so stupidly broke. 
I mean, I can look up free things to do, but parking's always a problem in San Fran and I've got nothing for gas or public trans. I'd be a terrible guest.
On a side note, I suddenly realized I'm so fucking sad when the two places I want to go for my birthday tomorrow is a playground and a cemetery to do a rubbing of someone's grave. D'oh. I'm thinking about asking my mom for the money so I can buy alligator andouille sausage. |

| Not quite sure. I think the last time I was caught and embarrassed was when Brandon came home and found me dancing in the dining room to really loud pop music. And that was like 3 years ago.
I'm sure I've been embarrassed since then, but that's probably the one I kick myself over and blush and still feel stupid over. Can you make one dish really well, and if so, what is it? |

| Thanks, guys.
Had an interesting day. Went to this really cool playground that had all these sea monsters and other things. Then went to Little Tokyo to hang around one of the shopping centers before it closes. Ate mochi and played a few games in the eclectic arcade they got in there. Been a while since I was last there. After all that had rattlesnake and rabbit meat sausages and sarsaparilla for lunch. Then hung around one of the oldest cemeteries in L.A. and did rubbings of the older graves. (I swear I'm not goth). I hit up a few comic shops to see if anyone had the Obama-variant of the latest Spider-Man. Lo and behold, they were all sold out (with Amazing bitching that it's Marvel's fault). Kind of annoyed that people have already started hoarding them, selling them for $150 on eBay and in the shops. Dinner was Mediterranean food. I can't believe my dad was fine with going. Had so much food. Heh, I'm lame. |

| Tough to say. I guess having to walk around in the dark scared me a lot. I still freak out walking around in dark places, even around my house. There's a constant worry that someone's lurking about to kill or rape me.
When I was a kid though, I remember waking up in the middle of the night crying and sobbing because I realized someday my parents and I would die. I was wearing my Halloween costume (I was an Indian) and I wanted to camp out on the floor of my room and a little tent I'd constructed. I'd wet the blankets, the floor, and my costume and woke up screaming and upset. I guess what scares me above all things is the eventuality that I'll have to bury my parents. Both of them have been off and on ill, and my mom has to have ANOTHER lump removed. This is getting harder to write. So a question... What's the last thing you've been obsessing over (hobby, movie, song, band, etc)? |
