| Just picked up "Kick-Ass 2" at the comic convention today. Didn't realize it was out already. I've only peeked into the first couple pages and saw Hit Girl beating up Kick-Ass. Yeah, this'll be a good read.

| I'm sitting in my boyfriend's band's warehouse. They're practicing for the big West Hollywood Carnival tomorrow. It's been on the news a lot lately. They're expecting 500,000 people, and they want to set the world record for most people doing the Time Warp.

| Heh, yeah. I'm from California and we have all kinds with raging extremes in every which direction and not just left and right. Most other states think we're all liberal and crazy. I guess, in a certain sense, depending on what part of the state you wander to, they might be right.

I've been a part of a group that once set the record for most people doing the Time Warp. It was at the Hollywood Bowl back in 2005.

They're going to try to break the record again at this street carnavale in West Hollywood tonight. So yeah... guess this is what I do. I wish I could set the record for most fan conventions attended, though. That'll never happen, though, seeing as there are people who do nothing but go to them and fly around the world to go to more and more cons. I've only done 50 or so. There are people who've done thousands, and that's just in specific things like Star Trek or anime.

I've been to Mexico, Canada, United Kingdom, and France. Hawaii a few times if that counts for leaving the continent. Planning a big trip for next October, but I don't want to jinx it since it's based on whether or not I'll get my internship done on time.

Well, we did it. Over 8,000 people did the Time Warp last night. That shatters the previous record of 4,000 something.

Last night was pretty surreal. Walked for miles surrounded by thousands and thousands of people in costume. I'll see about posting pictures later. Seriously I lost count of how many drag queens. |

Saw "Dark Country" with Thomas Jane fielding questions otherwise. I'd seen the last quarter of it last year, but finally seeing it all the way through does make it better. And I get those nifty, "I see what he did there," moments.

The character Thomas Jane plays in the movie is named Richard/Dick. I laughed so hard and asked him about the connection to "Hung." Since he made "Dark Country" first, he laughed too.

My cat, whom this stray cat likes to wander into our yard to mess with, has had this open wound in her side which my mom had been tending to while I held her tight and tried to not look at the wound which was making me freak out.

I just noticed there's a claw lodged in her side and the skin grew around it. FUUUCK!! Must make appointment to see a vet.

It's more of a sensitive spot on her that if you touch by mistake or while petting her she makes a whimpering sound.
