| Part of me says you should either call in an anonymous complaint to social services or public heath about your aunt's house (or have one of her neighbor's do it)... complain about the smell, the dogs, the fact that there is an elderly woman living there being exposed to it. Maybe it can help get the placed cleaned up and the dogs put somewhere else if the county orders her to do it.
Your mom's siblings really deserve to be kicked in the face. Just saying. |

| Credit card from a bank (or credit union) is the best option because it will have lower interest. I have a $500 limit card from my credit union and it works great... I make one $40-$100 purchase a month on it and pay it off. Now, supposedly if you let it accrue interest by paying the minimum one month and paying it off the next it will boost your credit faster, but I am not sure on that.
Best part about a card from your bank or credit union is that it is just a Visa or Master Card... no limit to where it can be used. |

| So I didn't think that I could hate country music more than I already did until I had to hear it for two days straight at work, even the iPod couldn't drown it out... I learned two things:
1) Satellite radio plays on a loop 2) Some song that I think is called "Look It Up" is the most annoying fucking song I have ever been forced to listen to. My ears hurt from blasting metal to drown it out, and I don't care about the consequences. |

| I love when people drop shit on you like that.
I have been helping my friend Bernard with cultural and background development for the world he created for a LARP. Problem is that he started running the larp before we got things flushed out so now it is a constant race against the clock. This weekend is WyrdCon, the larp convention hosted by Live Effects, which is the group that our game is being run in... so I have been spending most of my time trying to finish cultural lores on the country that the game this weekend is supposed to be in. Plus I apparently have to convert all the NPC notes into paragraph form for the players because the other members of plot are incapable of writing a coherent sentence that doesn't sound like it was uttered by a 13 year old on speed (the emissary of war is not all about "epic winning"). I reckon that if I spent as much time working on Darkfang as I do this damn larp world, I would have finished already or be nearly done. Almost all of it is my intellectual property... I should write books set in this world. |

| You have no idea how much I envy you right now. I am still sad I never got to go on the trip to have a class on ancient Greece taught on location... and you're getting Egypt, Israel, and Turkey (I am assuming Istanbul? Please take pics of the Hagia Sophia for me... and pics of everything else).
When you find out what the other locations in Greece are let me know, I know big tourist sites are Thermopylae, Marathon, and Sparta but I don't know what is accessible by cruise ship. Corinth? How do they not give you time to see the Parthenon? That is just beyond me. |
