| Cherries. When I was younger I had a dislike for them because the only time I had any was maraschino cherries in my mom's fruit salad... which I hated but had to eat. Then I found I liked them in mixed drinks and that there were other types of cherries that tasted far better. Same thing happened with grapes to a degree.

Yeah, I think Ben got to see one meteor as well. Sky had been clear nearly every night, but on the nights with the meteor shows it was foggy and/or overcast. So not fair! |

The plot involves one of my favorite characters, who is normally very calm and collected to the point that it unnerves people. Yet in this book there was a seen where he sorta lost it and went on a little raging destructive kick that was still methodical but very shocking. And it also seemed to be written specifically to piss me off... let's just say it involved some very rare Greek red figure pottery, a floor, and a boot. Do you prefer sweet or tart cherries?

Oh that is a tough one right now. I cannot remember who had the chair, only that it was big and fluffy and comfortable and that there would be fights over who got to sit in it that I only won about half the time. I think it was at a house that we had gaming at but it's all I can remember.

From what I remembered seeing of the proposed split, Los Angeles would be left in "the north" and it would be basically everything south and east of the LA County lines. They think Los Angeles is too liberal to be included apparently.

It would be amusing to see how fast they would fail, but it would suck for a lot of people that I know who live in Orange County and work in places like Long Beach, San Pedro, Lakewood, Cerritos, etc. I've been hearing the "San Francisco is so much better" crap from my uncle since I was a kid... yet he will still drop everything to come down and run around Hollywood for a week. I honestly have never gotten to do much when I have been up there visiting him... I have vague memories and photographs of a park, the zoo, Chinatown, and the Wharf. Normally it is "get him, come home" or "drop him off, go home"... and the one "visit, dinner, home" that we did on our way back from Oregon when my leg was in a cast (my only trip to Oregon). Despite the "outsider" vibe I get from being from California, people seem really interested when I tell them it is where I am from. A lot of them have asked why the hell I left sunny SoCal and the beaches to move here... though they all do quickly understand the "it's cheaper here" response I get. They also all think I am some kind of alien for loving the winter here.

Honestly, it's a great program so you know you have a good chance of getting hired where ever you choose to go. Plus is that it's an English-speaking country so you don't have to learn a new language to study there. From what I hear people are super nice there (my cousin is on a trip there right now and they talk about it a lot) so I am sure you can find a way of getting work while you are there and maybe help with cheaper housing and whatnot. You are not going to get a better education for less money, and it will be saving you time because even though you will get financial aid for the undergrad part of you schooling here, there isn't much for grad school so in the end you will be paying about the same and maybe less by going to Massey. Plus, you will be done in half the time and get to say you spend about five years in New Zealand. I would jump at that chance.

It's minimum wage, but it's work! I am now a cashier at a Giant Eagle grocery store. I have to admit that $7.50/hr is the second lowest paying job I've had in my life and is a far cry from the $10.80 I was getting as a temp... but I have to say that 25-30 hours a week at $7.50/hr is a HELL of a lot better than 0 hours a week at $10.80/hr. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
