| Oh that is a tough question. I think it might be fun to do an ancient world reenactment for either Greece or Rome.... though I don't really know what all I could pull off. Some gladiator combat, plays, sports, making togas. Food would be interesting if I were to go authentic though, since I know the Romans at least used this nasty fish sauce like we use ketchup.

| I think the riots themselves have wound down, but there is still tons of controversy over the shooting that sparked it. From what I have been reading no one can agree on if Mike Duggan was a gang member, if he had a gun (seems so), did he fire it (seems not), how many shots were fired, etc etc.
I really hope that this wasn't a police screw up that they are trying to cover up, that would just suck. What is this about Fullerton? |

| Also, look to see if your course of study is eligible for the Fullbright Scholarship. It's open to grad and undergrad students and is specifically for people who wish to study abroad. If you can get it, it might help quite a bit with expenses. | |||

| Sounds like a pretty bad ass birthday plan, my friend. I wish my birthdays were more like that. I think I've only been to one LAN party in my entire life, but that was all of us in one room playing Ragnarok Online so it isn't quite what you have planned.
I thought you needed internet access for SC2 because of Battle.net. Doesn't Portal 2 do multiplayer, or is it just two-player? Other fun game, Phantasy Star Online, if you can find a server or do multiplayer on consul. |

| I hope it all gets smoothed out. It seems so much shitter to lose a friend over comments on a stupid website.
Your mom is almost cute in her ignorance of the current job market. It doesn't make it any better though. My parents kept saying really stupid things while I was job hunting too... giving little suggestions that just were not helpful... repeatedly. I've been on the borderline of a "fuck you, Ben" for the last couple month over work to be honest. This entire time that we have been unemployed he could have been working, since one of the things the temp agency has in abundance is maintenance jobs. and a lot of the local schools are hiring maintenance and he actually has experience enough to get those jobs... but he flat out refuses. At first I was understanding because his last job left a really bad taste in his mouth. But money dwindles and he still refuses... in fact he has seemed perfectly content to just let our savings totally disappear before he would even consider looking for a job in that field. I've been applying actively for jobs since March and I just now got one, what makes him think it won't be just as long for him even with the advantages? Or that the jobs will still be there? It really fucking pisses me off. |

| Finished Polaris and I gotta say it was really interesting. Also read A Dance With Dragons, the latest in the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin (after waiting six fucking years) and Cold Vengeance by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child... they destroyed Attic red figure and it made me want to cry. What is wrong with me?
Now on to the latest Kitty Norville book by Carrie Vaughn, Kitty's Big Trouble. Fuck all those vampire novels, werewolves are so much better! |

| I really hate facebook sometimes.
But yeah, I've tried talking to him about it and he just does not seem to care. He turns it into an argument, insults me, blames me for the entire argument starting, declares victory and then stops talking. If I try to actually resolve it, I am the bad guy and am "obsessing" over it. It wouldn't be so bad if we'd been able to draw unemployment at all... but we didn't work long enough here so PA tells us we have to bug the office in California... and there is little to no chance that California will give us anything so Ben refuses to even try. He just sits on his computer playing puzzle games and watching nextflix on the tv. Recently he and his mom have been doing a lot of work on the planning for the campground, so that is good at least... though I really feel that they are cutting me out on that end as well, which also frustrates me. |

| I realize it is difficult, but your health is paramount and you really should go to the doctor. Nothing else matters if you end up dying of cancer because you didn't get things checked out. Talk to the doctors and see what you can work out, maybe you can find a way to get them done without messing anything critical. Growing moles are a sign of cancer that should never be ignored, nor is the possibility of HPV which can turn into cervical cancer if left untreated.
If doctors cannot help you work out the scheduling... how long will it take you to pass PT if you bust your ass? I mean, 22 seconds isn't that much of a fail right? |
