In this english class I am taking online, we have to write a myth. So out of despair, I have started writing the story of Ornlu. Once I have reached the requirements, I am going to continue it. Well, here it is...
The Cast of charactersI will add them as they arise. Name: Ornlu Domain: Storms Symbol Wolf Name: Qariel Domain: Earth Symbol Tree Other: Son of Gaia, cousin of Ornlu Name: Oebuss Domain: Fire Symbol Dragon Other: Brother of Ornlu Name: Ilarin Domain: King of Gods Symbol Lion Other: Uncle of Ornlu Chapter 1 Ornlu floated above the forest and watched his creatures mutilate the group of hunters. He could feel his and their power growing as they ate the mortals souls. Soon he would amass an army of his creatures to overthrow the king. Then he, Ornlu, lord of the storms and the wolves, would rule over the puny mortals. As his children finished their meal, he could feel a slight tingling in the back of his head. He was being summoned by Ilarin, the king of the gods. He cast one last glance at his children, "Soon," he whispered to them, "soon we will rule the world." He then shot into the air, puncturing a hole in the solid layer of clouds. In no time he had arrived at Yeresia, where the gods ruled over the humans. He softly alighted on the floating island, and began to walk towards Ilarin's palace. Yeresia was truly a beautiful place. It had been created when A'eki, the first creature in the universe, crashed on the planet. He had created a crater on the face of the planet. The crater would later become the ocean. A large chunk of the planet floated into the atmosphere, and A'eki made his palace on it. That palace is gone now, destroyed when the Shi'al overthrew A'eki. It was them who created humans, to be their slaves. But with his dying breath, A'eki sent his power down to earth. Centuries later, a young boy, named Kachende, happened upon this power. He used it to defeat the Shi'al, and sent them down to earth, to serve the humans, in the form of cattle. He rebuilt A'eki's palace, and began the new reign of gods, before passing the crown to his only son, Ilarin. Ilarin now has seven daughters and four sons. He also has three sisters. His youngest sister, Uisaei, was raped. She birthed Ornlu, who was a mischievous child. At the age of four, he nearly killed her. Scared by what she had created, she disappeared, never to be seen again. So Ilarin took care of the child, and gave him the all important job of maintaining the weather. Ilarin was never fond of the boy, but he was always especially kind to the boy, in memory of his sister. As Ornlu walked into his palace, Ilarin put on a large smile, "Ornlu, welcome my child, I am glad you could arrive so quickly." Ornlu put on a fake smile to match his uncle's. "I am glad that my speed has pleased you." He looked around the palace. He loathed the place. It used to be a great place, built from white marble, with fantastic statues filling the hall. But now it was in shambles. It was dirty, and some of the statues had even lost limbs. Ilarin felt that his time was better spent helping the humans. He was a foolish man. If, when Ornlu was king, the palace would be full of humans, keeping it clean, constantly. He would use humans as they were originally intended, to serve their betters. Ornlu kneeled in front of the king, "What is it you wish of me my Lord?" Ilarin approached Ornlu, "Please, do not bow, I am not your Lord." Not for long. Ornlu thought, "Why have you summoned me, Uncle." "I have received news that there is a drought in a small town in south-east Essynia." Yes, Ornlu knew of the drought. One of the villagers had killed one of his wolves. And just because the wolf had tried to take the mans infant. That was no reason to defy a god. "What of the drought?" "Well, it appears that there is a rather large temple to your niece, Isesia, there, and your brother has insisted that I tell you to end the drought." Of course, Oebuss was behind this. Ornlu's older brother was always out to foil his plans. Ornlu tried to argue with Ilarin, but he was interrupted. "I don't care about your quarrel with your brother. He wants the drought ended, and I am ruling in his favor this time." Ornlu spun around and stormed out of the palace. "Don't worry Ornlu, your time will come." | Besides, X, Anti-Meh doesn't destroy Meh. If you combine Anti-Meh and Meh, the two Meh's join together, forming Meh to the power of 2 (or Meh(2)) then the Meh(2) destroys the Anti, but one of the Mehs of the Meh(2) is destroyed, leaving Meh. | |||
