| I think you even asked me to marry you once, Bitmap... though I think it was over music instead of gaming... I forget, but it's around here somewhere.
Anywho, yeah it's fun to be a girl gamer. Even when you are not a supermodel you are highly sought after--especially when you play D&D and other tabletop RPGs (apparently we are the rarer breed). It's actually kinda odd to me because for so long I knew a lot of girls like me, and then coming here the only female gamer I've met only plays because her husband got her into it. I remember my first convention when I was still in high school. I think at the time that my friend Courtney and I were two of maybe ten females in the entire building. It's gotten a lot better now (women like LARP apparently). Video games always seemed to have more female gamers, though the guys never really believed it. I remember playing PSO and having some guy demand that I send him photos to prove I was a girl... I never did, but it was funny. |

| Bolsa Chica beach. I still haven't found a place here that is cool enough yet, though when it's been raining and there are clouds in the west the view walking out of my work looks pretty nice because of how open it is... but I wouldn't call it a favorite.

So, is it bad that I am already monitoring the corporate Giant Eagle stores for an opening. The wages and hours I am getting are kinda bullshit... I have a 4 1/2 hour shift today! WTF?! And we get 8 hour shifts, but since we have a lunch, we only get paid 7 1/2... so I'm getting a weekly paycheck of about $180. It's kinda a joke. |

... I mean... No, no we are not. What a crazy notion. You're crazy, Xeo. *nods* Interestingly enough, I was looking for a good recipe for alfredo sauce just yesterday... probably will not use it for a bit, but between Pat and my friend Chris giving me the ability to figure out how to use Pat's suggestion, I now have a good idea of what I will be doing. Though first I am going to try the harvest pumpkin pasta sauce I got from work that sounds super awesome. The post counts would be cooler if I had 7238, but I'm gaining regardless.

I had the little Disney storybooks instead of real bedtime stories, but my favorite involved Goofy and Donald in a race to Horner's Corners for ice cream. If I remember right, it was kinda a take on the tortoise and the hare.

Honestly I am with you on this though. Tiny box, why do you need a bag? Also, is it just Wal*mart charging for paper or are other stores doing it too? Anywho, the main stupid that I've seen was at my old job where people would do really dumb things like ride their bikes into the arm bars at the parking booths or (my personal favorite), come down the hill on a skateboard, hit the bump in the sidewalk and fly forward to faceplant in the grass. Funniest thing I've ever seen in my life. But here... here I have seen mind-numbingly stupid. There is this bagger at my work, she's like 19, and she is by far the dumbest person I have ever met in my life. She vapidly stares into space, comes back to reality, and then asks really stupid things. So far the best has been showing me a receipt for a soda that she bought and at the bottom where it said "balance: $1.59", then asking me if that meant the balance left in her checking account.

Fuck the fact that I am actually considering signing up for foodstamps. I didn't have enough money to buy groceries today... which Ben tried to foist on me again even though I just paid three bills to his one (yes, that one bill was large). So he had to pay it because Sam's Club apparently doesn't take Visa credit cards.
