| Well, you can at least read the first book since that has all been covered.
I actually like the way that they are portraying Varys. I think he is the best neutral character ever. I think he will grow on you later. 
And Jon's friend is Samwell Tarley. I love him, he'd probably be my best friend if he were real, lol. Osha is the wildling woman with Bran. They actually had to change the name of Theon's sister for the show from Asha to Yara so people wouldn't confuse the names. and Shae is the whore's name (there are spoilers down the line for her, so I don't want you to look up the name and find them) I am waiting for Brienne of Tarth to make her appearance. And yes, Davos is awesome. |

| <3 the picture. When they first cast her in the role of Brienne I was like "but she's too pretty"... but they did a great job of making her look like the supposed "plain Jane" that Brienne is.

I totally get how you feel on that! They did that at my parents and my old apartment all the time. The other thing that pissed me off was the motorcycles that took up the designated parking spaces on the far side of the street. You're a motorcycle, you can totally fit between those two cars on the curbside parking side! Leave the parking space for cars like mine!! I <3 having a driveway now. I can not concentrate on this paper. Ugh! |

| A continuing Fuck You to Grad Admissions. Seriously, is it so hard to do your fucking job?
Another fuck you to Century Link for our internet being down all weekend. They had a system wide shut down, but when we called they lied to us and said they didn't have tech support on the weekend. Seriously?! The customer service lady today told us the truth and apologized, but now it's gone from "we want a new isp because they don't do tech support" to "we want a new isp because they fucking lied to us." Plus they don't let you talk to the tech directly, you have to go through a middle person... what bullshit is this? |

| So I went on another Abney Park binge (if you don't know who they are... steampunk metal. Airship pirate, kinda gothy, steampunk metal... with bellydancing)
Anyway, their last few albums have been rather meh in my opinion, but I went back and listened to a few of the songs and one of them struck me as totally awesome for so many of us. The song is based on a letter that Captain Robert found in his old house, written by his 8 year old self in a very dark time. It's what inspired him to live his dream of becoming a musician. I think we all can use that kind of inspiration now and then. |

| The Hulk Hogan thing wasn't really that funny to us since we actually know about the guy... they did a little vignette on him during the regular season. The guy has been at every single game for years, and his fandom helped him beat cancer. The Hulk stuff is, because, well, he knows he looks like him so it makes him stand out. So, when we saw it, we saw Hartnell heckling a cancer survivor, and it was crass.
I think Crosby is going through this phase of "I want to make them stfu about the crybaby shit, but I do not want to get injured again." Because you can just imagine, being hurt yourself, how insane it must have made him to be out the majority of the season. And you really don't want to go out during the playoffs. If it makes you feel better, the guy is totally awesome off the ice. One of my classmates was walking down the street in Pittsburgh to go to a bar and he was wearing Crosby's junior league jersey. This SUV pulls up with dark tinted windows and the guy was like "Oh shit, I'm gonna die" because they were that dark of a tint. Window rolled down and it was Sid. The exchange went as follows: Crosby: Hey, I like your jersey. Where in the world did you find it? Classmate (Steve): *blink blink* Thanks... I got it online. Crosby: *chuckle* Man, I have never seen someone with that jersey yet. Hey, you got a pen? Steve: No man, I don't. Crosby: Wait, hold on... *dives around in car, comes up with a sharpie* He then got out of the car and signed the guy's jersey on the spot. Didn't have to ask or anything. Wished Steve a good day and took off. So... you played in goal right? What do you think of the performance of the goalies in this series, since we've seen all four in action at least once. I thought that Fleury was fricking brilliant last night! |
