So the weather here has been sorta nice lately. We did have a small stint yesterday though where it rained for five minutes, then the sun came out and the heat jumped by ten degrees and it got super humid... hour later it was back to being nice. |

| Fuck you, Dr. Miller for getting my hopes up.
I ranted about this on Facebook so some of you will have already seen this... but it bears repeating with extra vitrol: Got an email saying the cost of the weekend trips for Ireland was going to be split amongst the eight people so instead of $1800 it was going to be$225 per person. Joyful day! Then an email saying that number was incorrect and she would get us the right one. That is fine. Less money is still less money. Then a third email saying it would be $250. Oh? Only $25 more? I can handle that! Whoopie, I can perhaps get that tablet that I wanted for the trip after all! Or a better camera. Or both! Or just extra money in savings that I don't have to spend! My elation was then crushed when a fourth email arrived with the statement that she had forgot a zero and it was going to be $2025 per person. How that was just forgetting a fucking zero is beyond me... but yeah... I went from thinking that I was going to get to pay less to finding out I will be paying nearly $300 more. Did I mention that I had the absolutely worst day at work ever on top of that? No sales, one return, and hour on the phone with AT&T (only good part of that whole experience, see my upcoming Thank You post) whilst being talked at by the most impatient and bitchiest woman ever (maybe you should come by AFTER your important doctors appointment instead of 20 minutes before... it's a wireless desk, sweetheart, not the drive through at Wendy's). By the way, fuck you, lady! Oh... and the inventory nightmare from hell because Sam's Club audit team are fucking lazy... so fuck them, too. I spent all fucking day going through last month's phone contracts to find the potential mix ups (which in most places I cannot since the contracts don't list item numbers of the phones or UPC codes)... we finally got it figured out near the end of the night, but ugh. Now we have to deal with audit to fix it and that is like politely asking the ravenous dragon to not eat you and burn down your village. My dinner tonight is beer with a side of chicken kabobs. That is the kind of day that it has been. |
