| Least favorite Shakespearean character is hard for me as well... though I do like your assessment of the characters in A Merchant of Venice... assholes. Also, Lady Macbeth... she's just an evil, conniving bitch.
My most treasured possession as a child was probably my doll, Mary. It was a hand-me-down from my sister... one of those ones with a plastic head and yarn-like hair on a rag doll body... but she was my constant companion from my earliest memories. I didn't have a whole lot of friends when I was a kid, but I had Mary and a good imagination. I don't honestly know where she is now other than in the back room of my parent's house somewhere. Now I kinda wish that I had her still. How often do you back up your computer? |

| Oh that is a hard choice!
In the Pathfinder RPG, Elves are actually alien... but that one aside... I have a hard time choosing. There are so many just from Star Trek! Um... let us see... Star Trek: It's honestly a hard choice, but I think the Trill beat out the Klingons by a smidge. The ability to be a host to a being that has witnessed countless moments of history over several lifetimes! It's just amazing to me. Star Wars: NOT GUNGANS! Otherwise, the Miraluka... I just think the idea is neat. Video Games: The Elcor from the Mass Effect series. Just google Elcor Hamlet and you will understand why. Professionally published books: The Ashiyyur from Jack McDevitt's series about Alex Benedict. They are very mysterious but so very intriguing. Ebooks: The Kreelans from Michael Hicks' In Her Name series. Perhaps some of the best developed aliens I have come across in epublished sci/fi. Quick! It's cold and rainy outside and you are craving a hot bowl of soup... what kind do you want? |

| People who don't have kids posting stuff telling people how to raise their kids (circumcision, vaccination, etc... or more specifically that if you do those things, you're a horrible parent and should die... I honestly feel bad for the future kids of these people).
And, mostly because it's been 3 years and I still haven't had mine, but every single post that an engaged friend makes about the troubles of planning their wedding. |

| While you might have given them a hard time, I am sure they are actually glad that you understood enough to not be suing them right now... I don't know if I could have maintained the level head to do that. I mean, it may not be intentional neglect, but you told them you had a condition and they ignored it... I assume you had it in your medical records from an earlier diagnosis (since no one just says, "Hey, I've decided I have PCOS, a disease that 9/10 people have probably never heard of.") so it isn't like they could not have verified it. The diabetes thing, yeah, that I understand since there was little chance of them knowing about that without putting you through all of these tests.
Your family didn't pull the "clock is ticking" thing right after a miscarriage, right? That would just be unbearably cruel. But yes, you keep on those doctors and make sure they know everything that is going on with you. Then when you are ready, I send you all the luck I can summon. And if one doctor screws up, we will be there to hold them down while you get the baseball bat. |

| So today was the first day of Spring... and we had snow flurries.
Granted, it warmed up a bit last week so all the snow has finally melted. But yeah... I need at least a week straight of 60+ weather before I will officially believe that winter is over. |

If they hadn't horribly ruined the plot of the book by making The Relic I would have loved to see it's sequel, Reliquary made into a film... but they kinda screwed that one. Hey, where is a reboot when you need it? On the same page... if you could erase from history one movie sequel, which would it be? |

| Wow... just wow.
So... trying to organize a small little family dinner for after the wedding next month and my mother cannot get it through her head that it is a dinner for US and not a family reunion for my side of the family. She's also suggesting places like Hof's Hut... which is a place little old ladies love to go for dinner, not a place you take your family to after a wedding. And when I try to point this out to her, she gets bitchy and tries to guilt trip me with things like my dad's blood pressure rising. I told them from the start to let us plan it and they just pay for it... but no. They won't let it go. So, Fuck you, mom. Fuck you. |
