What's been on my mind a lot lately: Finding a teaching job, worrying about the cats adjusting to the new place and each other, adjusting to having a new roommate and a much much smaller place... among other things. Extra-curriculars in high school: Vice President of the Science Club, member of GLASSA, Friday Night Live (volunteer club), CSF (honor society) and Drama Club... and assistant director of the Oklahoma! my senior year. | Yeah, I figured TV was a bit too broad... but if you want to share that one as well, feel free my friend.
Hmn... least favorite sequel... well I suppose there are a few of those... Video game franchise: Dragon Age II. Overall it wasn't a bad game, and the story was important to Inquisition... but the limitations put on the character choice (human only) and the fact that critical plotlines and a whole character were made into DLCs kinda pissed me off. Granted, I guess you can say the same of the Tresspasser DLC from Inquisition for the importance to the next game... but at least that whole DLC served other purposes... like wrapping up the game, whereas Legacy was just something that you could play at any point of DA2 and had no importance to the plot of the actual game. TV franchise: Season 5 of Game of Thrones... don't get me wrong, I still love the series... but the deviations in last season bothered the hell out of me. Especially Sansa. Movies: Pretty much everything going on with DC right now. I know there are a lot of complaints with Marvel movies, but overall I have been happy with them. The Snyder DC films, though? No. Just no. Books: Kitty Saves the World (90% sure this is the one). I have been a big fan of the Kitty Norville series, and am a bit behind on the books, but this final volume apparently jumps the shark in ways that made me not even want to finish the series. What are you opinions on pickles? Like them? Hate them? Have a favorite type? |

Fact: I am super jealous of you since I have never even been to the Huntington. Fact: Kaleb and I just joined the Mug Club for a local brewery that is finally opening up after 3 years... I got to take a tour of the place when I went to sign up today. They used a ton of reclaimed material in the design of the dining room... brick at floor boards from another building to decorate the bar area, sprinkler pipe from the old system for the bar foot rail, a wall of wood from pallets... it all looks really nice. And the guys that own it seem really dedicated to the whole thing, so I am happy to be able to support them. |

So yeah... still need to finish the moving process. Going to the old apartment today after Kaleb gets off work so we can finish cleaning up there... I get to throw a loveseat off a third story deck! Good times! We have been trying to get over there to clean and stuff, but work schedules just don't align lately... and we have to be 100% out by the 30th. Also need to get my stuff from Ben's house... again, scheduling. It's two book cases and like 20 boxes. Not a huge deal... but heavy when you have to haul them up 4 flights of stairs. |

Things here a bit hectic. The move, taxes, and sick cats did a number on Kaleb's finances so I have had to cover a bit more, but I don't mind... ya know, since it is nothing like what I had to deal with while living with Ben and dropping over $600/month on bills and food. Selling my old car was a major windfall for me, though, I have to admit. Divorce lawyers aren't cheap, after all. I got the official complain done and signed. Now we are at the mandatory 90 day "cooling off" period that Pennsylvania requires for non-contested divorces. Freedom is so close, yet so far. |

The main reason that I haven't finished the Illiad (or started the Odyssey) is because I am not sure about the translation that I have... and I am really picky about translation. My ancient history professor swore by the Penguin versions of classic books, however, so I tend to trust those... but they never seem to have them at a good price. |
