It's all right, but the ending is fairly blah. I know people love these ambiguous endings, but with how many of them there are these days a lot of them feel like a cop-out -- as though the authors don't know how to end it, so they make it all the more strange just to keep you head-scratching. Reading The Zookeeper's Wife, a biography on this Polish couple who saved hundreds of Jews during the Holocaust using their zoo. Not that far into it, but it's pretty decent thus far. Really, I'm in the middle of 4 or 5 books right now. There's several I'm still working on in PDF form and on my shelf, but I've got so many that I need to finish before they're due back at the library. |

I keep finding myself reminiscing about that decade. (Yes, I'm aware this makes me sound old). Anyway, like the original question posed, what did you love in that decade? I was deeply in love with the action/adventure shows like Hercules and Xena (the subject of my first ever fan convention when I was 13), as well as Star Trek: Voyager, Brisco County Junior, and cartoons like Extreme Ghostbusters. I fucked up last Mother's Day by not doing anything, so I'm trying to at least make an effort to be with my mom. Thing is, Brandon's mom and grandma are in town for the weekend and the only time we can see them is when I'm supposed to be with my own mom and grandmother. Anyway, happy Mother's Day, True.

Other than the previous things that I mentioned in the previous post, there's not a lot that's been getting on my nerves lately. Except maybe some of the stuff Stitch blasts off Spotify on the drive mix list he and I have. I'll put stuff on there that he'll remove within the hour, but then there'll be stuff in there for months that I get tired of the moment they start (Train's "50 Ways to Say Goodbye" and the occasional Lady Gaga song among them). There's debate about what to do with the older brother's body.

They would burn him and scatter the ashes so there isn't a place to mourn him or build a shrine of sorts, but it's against Muslim beliefs to cremate a body (hence why Osama was dumped in the ocean). The article's pretty fascinating, discussing all the ways people have done away with an unwanted body (McKinley's assassin was dissolved in sulfuric acid).

We're supposed to be heading to breakfast early and pick up my grandmother from the home. Brandon's going to breakfast with his own family, and then later I'm getting picked up by his mom and going over to his aunt's for lunch with them.
