Yeah, I didn't get the hate at all. I mean, I didn't know who the fuck he was, and I thought that the scene was actually a nice one since it provided a humanizing moment for Arya... ya know, a reminder that this isn't all black and white, and that the soldiers often don't have much choice in all this. Even if I had recognized him, it wouldn't have ruined it for me... I recognize a ton of the actors from other roles or places, it doesn't ruin their moments either. He was playing a part, he sang a song from the books, and it was done. Big whoop.

I mean, I tend to want to trust doctors... but given her history and everything else, I would honestly seek a second opinion about the double mastectomy (or single if it is always the same breast). Ultimately, it is your mom's choice... but it just seems like it would save time, money, and stress in the long run.

Also, I'm assuming you keeping an eye on your own stuff, given the history. But yeah... is it 4cm or 4mm? Because 4mm is small, and she is full of shit. If it is 4cm, then yeah, that is a bit large, but still beatable according to this table. In my neck of the woods... fuck my club manager. We have a big event on Saturday... basically Black Friday in August. I am off the day before it, so I am doing all the prep work I can in advance while also training two new people. He feels it is more important for us to go zone the office supplies aisle than conduct the monthly audit and talk with our Verizon rep that came in for the first time in a few months to go over what we needed for the event from the carrier. I asked to be able to finish what we were doing first, and was basically told by another manager that he was mad that we were ignoring orders and that our Verizon rep "needs to understand that your club manager wants you on the floor". The rep had been here for about a minute at this point, and she was not happy about basically being told to fuck off. Oh... and all the shit in office supplies had been done already, we were not needed, and they gave us three tiny things to do before letting us go back to our audit just to justify being fucking assholes about it. Is it March yet??

I remember when the DCMA came down I was initially relieved just because it meant the annoying 10 year olds would go away and stop spamming the boards to play Pokemon. But yeah, I am glad that some of us AB still exist, just for us old coots... and even places likke Vizzed that do tend to pander to teens... because it gives them a different experience than the world of Twitter, Facebook, and... ugh... Tumblr.

That said, I do miss a lot of our vets being more active, though I do love that they pop in from time to time. I about pissed myself when I saw Thoughtless post recently.

I actually never owned a PSX... first Sony console I had was the slim PS2. I always was envious of my nephew for getting to have one. I've only been able to play re-releases and ROMs |

Honestly, I would not mind a well done VR... hell, think it would be pretty cool. But for now, all VR headsets just make me kinda nauseous and seem to hate anyone who has to wear glasses in terms of comfort (though I admit the Samsung Gear VR has improved a lot over the last two versions). |

So I have played and beaten...

Horizon Zero Dawn. Not a super huge fan of some of the side missions (learning to use the weapons, the hunting grounds... since the weapons you get from beating it aren't even the best in the game... so why?), and I did feel a little sad at the form of the final boss battle... but overall, I loved the game and the story! Though I totally called the secret of who Alloy's mother was fairly early. I am eagerly awaiting the DLC just to see more of the world... I absolutely love the scenery and finding little bits of the past as you explore. Mass Effect: Andromeda. Actually on my second play-through right now. Yes, the game has some glitches and I am more than a little pissed that the main team got pulled to work on Anthem instead of Andromeda... but overall, I did still enjoy the game. A lot of the scenery was quite lovely, and they left a lot of ends open for future DLC and sequels... one glaring open end in in particular. My biggest issue was with the companion characters and romance options for female Ryders (seriously, Liam is a tool)... it just felt like they didn't go as in depth as they could have. That said, Drack is probably one of my favorite Krogran in the entire ME universe, and it takes a lot to unseat Wrex from the original ME. Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild. While it took me a bit to get used to the Switch, I have to say that I loved this game. Nintendo really did do an amazing job... though I hated how the durability system for weapons worked. I mean, seriously... how do I break my sword on grass? I did note some comparability between BotW and Horizon Zero Dawn since I basically played them back to back and they are both open world exploration games. I will admit, however, that I would have killed to have HZD's ability to craft ammunition in BotW with how many arrows I went through. (restricted) |
