| I am over pretty much anything Cardi B related. There are a few others but I don't know the name of the song or the artist, I just know they get played all the fucking time.
For a bit, I was getting annoyed by the cover of "Africa" by Weezer. It is a great cover, but seriously, every half hour? There is SO MUCH cool new music out there, and radio stations play the same shit over and over again. It is so annoying. |

I pretty much spent the entire holiday season working. Thanksgiving we had everyone over and I got some nice compliments on the dishes I made. For the Yule and Christmas holidays, it was constantly fighting with management to get the day off for my family's holiday party on the 22nd... I think it was the one girl that always works Sundays leaving to a new department that finally got me my wish.

Went and saw holiday light stuff with Rogue and Brandon, that was pretty much the only festive thing I got to do that wasn't with family. The family party wasn't bad, considering this is the Trumpy side of the family. My aunt fell and broke her hip, though, so that kinda sucked the fun out of everything after that. Luckily we were planning on leaving soon after anyway. She is doing fine, just working out getting a caregiver now. The main family gathering was Christmas Day since I had to work Christmas Eve. My whole immediate family was there save for one niece, so we had a good time. I made gingerbread cookies from scratch for the first time ever for the work potluck and extras for the family. Everyone liked them but I was literally the only person that brought anything for the potluck. Had to work New Year's Eve until 8 pm but I left at 7 since my shoulder was in so much pain all day I could barely move. We ended up at Ben's place playing board games and walking down to the beach at midnight to watch fireworks from the Queen Mary. So yeah, this current job has made it the single-most isolating and depressing holiday I have had in years.

I honestly don't know if I would call any product life changing. I would have said the bed frame from Ikea for getting rid of my back pain, but that has finally come back after months... so now, I don't really know. Maybe Epsom salt? Fact: My diet has never been all that great, but I do my best... and in the time that I have moved home and not been cooking, my cholesterol has raised for the first time in my life. So looks like I need to up the fiber and try to talk parents into making less fried stuff. Fact: I am doing well in a series of job interviews right now and I am terrified because there is a light at the end of the tunnel that is my current hell job and I am waiting for it to be snatched away from me again.

Honestly, I am used to the voices from DBZ Abridged for English, but it was still enjoyable.

We did end up seeing it, and yes, it was awesome. Without going into spoilers, they came up with a much better plot to explain Broly's rage instead of baby Goku crying. There were a few spots where you could see they took animation from the Xenoverse game, but it didn't detract from it at all.

Yeah, I am hoping this place is as good as it seems. My cousin works for a different branch of the company and has some complaints, but a lot of it is based on changes over 14 years of working there. The big thing is how slow the company does things at the moment. But overall it is a major improvement from retail.

Personally, I think it is bullshit that Congress and the Executive branch are still getting paid while this is going on in the first place. Secondly, I dislike shutdowns at all and that it just keeps getting worse every freaking time. Extortion isn't governing! And for now, I am keeping my opinion about the wall out of my opinion about the shutdown. I know it is the reason for this particular shutdown, but I kinda want to talk about the shutdowns in general.

Exactly, the wall is pointless and in the areas where it would be effective (near crossings) they already have them. It would be a much better investment to improve the tech level of BPS like they have been asking for than to build a wall. And $5.7M is just a down payment, not the total cost. We could come up with a much more comprehensive border security and immigration package for far less money than this vanity project is estimated to cost.

I am glad that we have a temporary end to the shutdown. Hats off to the ATC for forcing their hand on the issue. I wish they had done it sooner. I am just hoping that they come up with something before the deadline that he will sign because I have a feeling that if Trump provokes another shutdown over this it isn't going to go well at all. Perhaps we should just take his electronic devices away for the week before the bill hits his desk so the pundits can't convince him to do it again?
