| Word has it 2 million Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, etc passwords were stolen.
Even if that number is minuscule compared with how many people have accounts on those sites, it's still good practice to change your passwords often. |

| It's that season.
So who's beset with a runny nose, coughs, and sore throat? *Raises hand lackadaisically* I went up to Ridgecrest where it was freaking freezing at night and came back fine. But I spend one dinner sitting across from my mom who covered only half of her coughs while I paranoidly covered my face and ended up sick the next morning.  |

Yeah, I've just got a common cold. Thanks, Mom. 
I've had the flu a couple times in my life, and it blows. I get all hot and achy with sudden chills and cold sweats and all the other icky things that go with it. Thankfully it comes and goes within a couple days. Colds tend to linger and they suck too. It had been a while since the last time I was sick, but eh. I'm taking the Vitamin C supplements and finally got some Dayquil and Nyquil yesterday and I'm over the hump already. Mom's still in the thick of it. (Last edited by Rogue on 12-08-13 01:23 AM) |

| Since last post read "Templar," a one-shot, though quite long, graphic novel about the fall of the Knights Templar.
Also read volumes 16, 17, and 18 of "Fables." "Cubs in Toyland" was unexpectedly dark. Currently reading "The Steel Seraglio" by Mike, Linda, and Louise Carey. I'm only about 100 pages in, but I'm liking it thus far. |

Sorry to hear that. 
Took me a week and a half to fully recover from my cold. The most obnoxious thing was having to be around others who still refused to cover their coughs or sneezes as I was coming out of it and I started to feel that tingling in my throat like I was back at square one. Fuuuuuck. |

| I totally get being pissed off about that, especially in that he panicked and felt he was taking control of the situation. Fact is, no matter how old you get you're still his little girl (just all children are to their parents) and he probably wanted to take control of the situation because that's the only way he feels comfortable.
I dunno. I have crazy shit arguments with my dad over whether it's OK to park in a certain spot or not. And we had to have the discussion that it's just not good to talk politics in front of each other no matter what. He's a stubborn, racist conservative, but he's my dad. Not trying to downplay your ire or anything. By all means, I would be seething too. Fuck doing a lot of work for free because it's "for exposure." |

| So... what's going on with everyone this holiday season? Travel plans? Kicking it at home?
We're heading out to the Mojave again. This time a little longer, probably the better part of a week. Lots of good hiking, but Ridgecrest itself has nothing particularly interesting. Here's pictures from my last trip: 
Us walking around a living ghost town with abandoned mines. semi-pretending we're Courier 6 from Fallout: New Vegas. 
Hiking in Short Canyon. 
Went on a hike with Brandon's parents before heading back toward home. We stood on top of a cage over an abandoned mine shaft and walked around some house ruins. Visited the Antelope Valley Indian Museum on the way home and stopped by a bunch of movie sets. And there's my feta and pastrami burger I had in Palmdale. |

| Xeo, the Mojave this time of year is pretty mild (which makes it ideal for hiking and exerting one's self without getting heatstroke), though it dips into below freezing at night.
Right now I'm making bullshit two-ingredient pumpkin muffins because I completely forgot my friends were having a Christmas party. Gah!! |
