So, it's a prequel to Halo, takes place when we first discover the covenant. While it may be just a CGI video, it looks AWESOME. I wonder if you'll be playing as Cheif...

EDIT: Apparently it's an RTS, so that answers my question...

Well, rowspan did what I wanted it to do, but I remember when the teacher was teaching tables, he talked about colspan, and then mentioned vspan.

He is so important, because he is the last of the Spartans, a genetically enhanced race of superhumans. He will most likely not be in Halo Wars, and if he is, you won't know. He'll just be another faceless Spartan.

*shakes head* The plot is much more intricate than that. I mean, you could summarize almost any game in that fasion. And it can't answer those questions because it's a prequel. Also, the Covenant are fighting us because they are on a holy crusade.

After a moment of silence, an explosion reverberated around the room. FX sailed through the air on a shimmering obsidian steed, flaming pieces of confetti raining around him. He softly landed on the tiled floor, and dismounted his steed. With a wave of his hand it shrunk down into a small rodend of some sort, which he promptly pocketed. He walked over to the chair.

"Thank you for having me here."

He tried to sit down in his chair, but missed, He bounced slightly as he hit the hard floor. He looked around the room, slightly baffled.

"I...um...meant to do that."

He brushed himself off as he stood, casting a menacing glance at the misposistioned chair.

"Bah, chairs are for suckers."

He waved his hand and the chair burst into flames, leaving a black scorch on the freshly mopped floor. He leaned against a seemingly invisible wall.

"As I said, thanks for having me here, wheather or not I had to bribe you. Either way, I have delivered on my half of the deal, you got into the quiz. Now I just have to make the quiz. And about that ban...I still have no idea why that happened."

He looked towards the ceiling, a puzzled look on his face.

"And I would't call myself a lover of Snorlax...although he does fucking own."

No, it is probably your lack of ideals of hearing someone's opinion that allow you to be disappointed with almost anything.

I'm semi-sick of how one poster here doesn't even know what a prequel is. Thank you for contradicting yourself, FX. Next time, don't EVER say a prequel doesn't need to answer a story.


I didn't say it can't answer a story, I said it can't answer what you asked. You asked why the Covenenant were attacking us, which we already know, and you asked about the rings, which can't be answered in the prequel for 2 reasons:

1) They haven't been discovered yet.

2) If they don't know about them in Halo 2, how can they know in the Halo prequel?

And I meant your ignorance in the Halo story.

Sequel - A time AFTER an event started.
Prequel - A time BEFORE an event started.

Let see... Both of them involved sometime within a event that occured, but in a different time frame.

Now if what you said is true, you screwed up there... BADLY.

Halo War -> Halo 1 -> Halo 2

Halo War COULD explain how Halo was created. You said: Halo 1 was the first to discover there. However, if that was true, a prequel could mention of a person who MADE it.

Just think about it. If Halo was already an existing war, Halo War might be a START of a war. Thus, how Master Chief survived the entire crisis, how Halo was built (discovered is different from being built) or in this case, still continued to live on, a prequel cover holes in storywise before the Halo 1 even started.


In Wars, you are playing the humans...so we'd discover how something was made, before we discover the actual thing? Also, we know how Chief survived.

He sent a shocking burst of energy down the whip into Desroth's sword. If he wanted to avoid getting his hand burned past use, he would have to release the sword.

I never said that built and discovered are the same thing. But since the game will only cover Covenant and Humans, and neither of them know who built the Halos later then they definately can't know who built them in Wars.

Elara-And I can't wait for that age... As for what I did: My best friend came over, we got 2 cases of Vault, and a few six-packs of Hansens, and rented Chaos Theory. Unfortunately we didn't really get into it the morning after, so we didn't get very far. Also, it was the first time I had seen my dad in a month (he visits every other weekend, but last time he didn't come). Also my mom stopped by to pick up some clothes and drop off my laundry (we are having construction done on the laundry room, and the washer and dryer are currently disconnected), and she surprised us with a very delicious chocolate cake. Pretty fun if I do say so myself...
