I always thought it was amusing that the transporter effect was just glitter in water, stirred around with a spoon, but then again, that's Star Trek for you. The most random household objects become detailed props, like how the early communicators were supposedly lady razors.

I have AOL. It is just that bad.

There was a guy in the news a few years ago who got Fox to help him cancel his AOL service. Apparently he only put in the disc, but for months he was getting billed. Anyway, I'm surprised he even got an American-sounding person. AOL's been out-sourced to India. Whenever I've called tech support lately, I've gotten a person with a thick Hindi-accent who barely understood anything I've said. RARELY does AOL tech support help with anything. When I dealt with those people I'd mentioned, they gave me a complaint number and told me that if my problem wasn't solved to give the next support person I got that number. EVERY single time, the next supporter was completely clueless on what to do with that number. I've been wanting DSL so fuckin' bad, but my father doesn't seem to grasp ANY of the issues that need to be dealt with with basic computer protection and firewalls and such. In short, AOL fuckin' Buh-LOWS.

Jesus, this is all over the place on me. I haven't heard much of Queensryche, so I can't really say how accurate that is to me.

Honestly, this lacks several bands that I really like--Fear Factory and Children of Bodom, for example. I don't know how Iced Earth beat out things like Slayer, Gwar, Metallica, Megadeath, Pantera, and Dream Theater on my list, but it's definitely near the bottom on my actual preferences.

Heh, where my computer is in my room, it's in front of my window, which is of reasonably large size. This window faces my lesbian neighbor's house, and lines up with her garden hose.

In the evening, when she comes by my window to get her hose to water her plants, she stands there and listens into my room to hear what I or my friends are saying, what we might be watching or listening to, and most importantly if there's anything that she can get on me to either tattle on me to my parents or the rest of the neighbors. She likes to complain to people that I keep her up listening to things too loudly. Whenever I throw a party while my parents are gone, she comes to visit when they get back to tell thm everything. Not that they ever ask for it, she just likes to tattle. So anyway, in pertaining to my computer, while I'm sitting at it and she walks by I either scowl at her or vice versa.

I have the ghetto-person's air conditioning (big fan in open window), so my blinds don't go down. I like having my room cold, but it's really only achievable at night.

I have diaphanous, white curtains that I'll sometimes try to cover the fan, but to no avail. Heh, she doesn't have a window facing my house and the only window she has, near the ground, that's not walled in, is directly in front of her house with a big flower bed in front of it.
