But personally, I consider it a cult. I mean, you have to give most of your income to be "enlightened" as well as dissassociate yourself from those that do not agree with your new path (like your family). My cousin became a Scientologist... I haven't seen her in over 10 years. |

*Jade observed her opponent's entry in silence, her delicately pointed ears, hinting at an Elven heritage, twitched slightly as he removed his sunglasses. She nodded her head graciously as he addressed her* "From all that I have heard, the honor is mine." *She straightened up, and as she did so she removed Dark Soul from a pouch at her waist. It was a simple pouch, not very big at all, and obviously magical to be able to hold the greatsword. The blade appeared to be hewn of gleaming obsidian, with inticate disigns on the ancient-looking hilt. She stood straight and tall as she brought the blade up to her forehead in a warrior's salute, black flames errupting from the blade as she did so yet leaving her unharmed. She moved the blade down and to the right swiftly to complete the sign of respect, the flames making a wooshing sound in their wake. That done, Jade spread her feet slightly as she took up a slightly defensive stance, Dark Soul held in front of her in her right hand* "Shall we, then?" Dark Soul: This great sword appears to be made of obsidian, and is wreathed in black flames, yet it moves with lightning speed. Forged by Jade herself after mastering her powers, the blade is imbued with both Shadow magick and chaotic energy. The edge is incredibly sharp, and its cuts sting like tiny bits of glass had been imbedded within. It is light for Jade to wield, but none other may touch it without suffering severe burns and then finding out that they cannot lift it. | I didn't absorb anything actually, I just found the huge loophole in all of your attacks except for that one attack with the holy energy at the beginning that I could not get out of without godmodding . As for that last move with the negative and holy energy, like I have said before, I go by D&D rules, where opposites cancle each other out in spell form. If I was an evil creature, yes, holy hurts me more. If you were a holy creature, then negative hurts you more. However, when it comes to counterspelling, opposites cancle each other out, just as using the same spell does. You want to challenge me on that, I have the Player's Handbook to back me up.
It is just a bad idea to have fighters using radically different systems fighting. Someone really should get around to making a actual system for sim battles so we don't have this problem anymore. And Elyk, I respected you as a fighter, though my character did not. And dispite her dislike of you, it came across what was in character and what was not. You're just arrogant. However, if you want to start on getting out of all attacks. Please explain to me how one can be hurtled backwards by gale force winds towards a bunch of jagged pillars of ice that can freeze flames on contact, and not take any damage. Everyone that I have shown that whole scene to agrees that you should have lost your sword in the ice, wreched your arm from your socket, or frozen your foot to the ice. Yet you took no damage at all. Of course, again, I do not know Sparda's opinion on the matter. Though I would like to, to be honest. I know that at least Levi respects Sparda and his views. I can't speak for you on that matter Elyk. |

Name: Mina Cunningham Age: 27 History: Mina was born and raised in San Francisco, Ca. Her father was a Vietnamese orphan adopted by a local Scottish family, and he taught Mina her skills in fighting. Her mother, a dancer of Irish decent, taught her how to become more flexible so she could fight more fluidly. As a youth she got involved in the Asian Mafia as a Professional, but by the age of 25 she had grown tired of it and sought to get out... they didn't like it. A fight with two low-ranked thugs in a dock-side bar resulted in not only Mina getting slashed in the face by a broken bottle, but in the death of both thugs. She needed to get far under the radar of the Asian Mafia, and fast. To get ouf of California she took a job in Brooklyn as a Kempo instructor. her family knew nothing of her ties to the mafia and she tries to keep anyone from finding out. Specialty/Career: Master Kempo fighter with a precise knowledge of human physiology and key points that can result in either instant death or incredible (but non-lethal) pain. Ex-professional for the Asian mafia. Her specialty is unarmed, obviously, and with her skills and dexterity, she is quite deadly. *A groan is heard from the corner as a woman slowly sits up, rubbing her head slightly. She has black hair tied up in a braid that hangs just below her shoulder blades. Placing one hand on the ground she silently springs to her feet. She wears a white sports tank top, leaving the light mocha-colored skin of her arms exposed; and loose black pants that allow for good mobility, as well as a pair of black and white tennis shoes. The woman raises a hand to shield her dark brown eyes from the bright light momentarily until her vision adjusts* "What the fuck... where am I?" *She notices the others in the room and tensed up, seeing as last she remembered she had just laid down for a nap after her Kempo class had ended for the day* "Who are you people?!" |
