As for the gun. I don't know. Maybe they're trying to do that down-to-earth (heh, right...), nitty-gritty, slightly more realistic superhero movie? Probably why his costume is more military uniform than blue scale-mail and a winged hood. Other than being in peak physical condition, Cap doesn't have any other powers, and I'm sure he doesn't want to fling the shield ALL the time. |

| I may or may not see it. I saw First Class and while it was entertaining, canon-wise it was utter crap... might rent Thor and Green Lantern when they come out on DVD or something. I suppose this one really depends on what is playing with it at the drive-in. | |||

| What has me kinda miffed about Green Lantern is the really heavy CGI. It just looks really really fake. That and I have never been that into the comics... I think Batman is the only DC character that I actually like.
Like I said, I will eventually see it... either as a second showing movie or on DVD. |

The after-credits tease was also not all that great. Just makes me look forward to Cap's movie all the more. |

| Firstly, I don't know what it is about this thread, but it crashes Firefox if I try to scroll up or down.
Secondly, saw Captain America and I have to say that I really liked it. Especially Stan Lee's cameo. It seemed like it was a much better done adaptation of the story, and I have to say the Hugo Weaving makes a badass Red Skull. Also, the Avengers trailer is after the credits... the credits are long. |

| Just got back from seeing it. I definitely like A LOT more than Thor.
I thought they'd feature Bucky Barnes more, but oh well. |
