| I was working at Books-a-Million when someone asked me to look up a book for them over the phone. Well I wound up running all the way from the front cash register to customer service. You know to get some ergonomical excercise. ANYWAY I find out that non-skid shoes are BAAAAAAAAAD there. By bad I mean tripping bad. I trip... on nothing.. and fly into the customer service desk wall hitting my head. I fell on my wrist and my elbow it the ground. Along with my knees. The result? My left knee is BADLY bruised, my right knee is half as bad, my elbow is bruised but it's not really all that visible, and my left wrist is carpet burned and scraped. I was bleeding til closing. T_T It hurt... To top it off I had to put latex gloves on to clean the bathrooms there.
Edit: and to add to that... no one noticed but a customer walking up to the desk. She asked if I was okay and I played it off by jumping up going "PRAISE JESUS HALLEJUHA!!" and everyone laughed. I remember the topic I was serching too. "The Tuskeegee Airmen" PEOPLE WHO GO TO THE BATHROOM AT BAM DON'T KNOW HOW TO FLUSH!!!!!! (Last edited by Aden Nightly on 06-14-06 11:34 PM) |

**huggles** I feel your pain.  Just yesterday I took a fall...Xeios could tell you about that one...he was part of what tripped me. (Though all jokes aside, it wasn't his fault at all.) It's not that bad but a cool looking scab on my knee now. My other knee is scratched up a little, and the elbow even less. I didn't stop bleeding for a while though (anemia sucks) and when my mom saw it she socked me in the arm really hard and called me an asshole...but that's about it really. 
Gah...and cleaning the bathroom...  Icing to top the cake with, eh? |

| That happened to me one time. But I think it was on a trampoline. Or one of those moonwalking things. So I guess it was ok. Cause it was soft. And you're supposed to jump around and fall. And have fun. Cause they're made for that. So I didn't get hurt at all! All Praise LEON! |
