Elaborating a little on one of FX's points, because it's one I personally feel rather strongly about, and one he only commented about in passing.

Getting to my point however, I'm sick of this obsession with symbolism. If you genuinely support anything, show it through your actions, not with effortless and equally worthless displays of publicly accepted symbols.

If you'll allow me to stray from the topic for a moment, I said something very similar in a previous topic about supporting our troops; that little yellow ribbon so many people rely on to show their support comes disturbingly close to offending me. Not because I don't support the troops (which I do) or the war (which I don't), but because my family actually did something to support them when we could afford to. When my stepfather was in Afghanistan, we sent things to him and the other soldiers on the base. That is supporting the troops. Displaying an utterly useless ribbon or ribbon bumper sticker is not support, what it is can be best described as a throwaway gesture that in the grand scheme of things means absolutely nothing. In fact, I strongly suspect that many of the people displaying those ribbons are doing so for selfish reasons - to ease their own conscience without having to make any personal sacrifices.

By your own admission, it's going to be biased.
First, I'll remind you all as I've said earlier, that I'm not against the islamic people themselves, I've seen many of them that are good, moral people. However, anyone islamic will have a slight amount of bias towards islamic people, they won't view it all from an outside source nearly as much as they could have.
By that logic, I shouldn't vote for any Christians for President. After all, they'd be slightly biased towards a group I'm not a part of.

So basically, what I'm getting at is, he's biased, and he doesn't see things from an outside point of view.
This line of thought can be extended to justify not voting for anyone. You've yet to provide satisfactory proof that he'd be any more biased than anyone else, it's just a bias that you don't like instead of one you do.


Medicare: I'm not going to find you all links to those stories, instead I'm going to tell a true story that probably wasn't put into paper. Some guy my dad knows went to England a little while ago(remember, they use socialized medicine), and had a stroke. He went to a doctor for this, the they told him it would be six months before they could examine him. Six months before they could even get an x-ray for his head. Isn't that a bit ridiculous? Things like that don't happen in America, I can guarentee that.
I do believe hearsay and unciteable anecdotal evidence is often considered useless. Also, although you're free to consider it useless for the previously-stated reason, I had to get an x-ray a few months ago. Do you know how much it cost? $650, plus another $50 for reading the damned thing. If I had a scanner or digital camera, I'd show you the bill. The bill that I still haven't been able to pay fully.

Actually, I didn't. I mentioned that he called it fear mongering, and that it didn't explain why he still tried to hide it. If he published it, like anyone else visiting another country does, I wouldn't care, it wouldn't matter to me!

But when he tries to hide these pictures, I feel a bit suspicious...
If after being able to observe multiple political campaigns you still don't see a good reason for him to hide the picture, further debate with you will inevitably prove utterly fruitless.
