What a wonderful response, geo. That wasn't meant to sound sarcastic or like I'm knocking on any of your past posts, but that was cool.

Great point about the swastika. The Nazi's version has the points going clockwise, while the Eastern cultures' version going counter-clockwise, but often some still lock them both with a symbol of hate.

the pentagram was originally a sign of protection

Thanks Rogue. That's what I sound like when I take more than 30 seconds to respond to a thread . And no worries. Some of my past posts are less thoughtful than that one was.

The pentagram has been used for many reasons. Most of them until recently are "good".

Something to note though: the cross was used by egyptian "pagans" thousands of years ago. Now it's about Jesus. Does it matter what it used to be used for?

well, I don't think hate groups are exactly prevalent or the actual topic of this thread. As far as I know it's perfectly legal for a group of people to get together and peacefully do just about anything they want as long as they aren't breaking any other laws.

I think Cairoi is upset with the excessiveness of political correctness. Certain words are taboo now. They're not Indians they are native american. Not black, negro, nigger etc. they are African American.

Well, as for my opnion if you were born in America/Canada then you are that nationality. If you were born in England and moved when you were 2 days old you are from England. If you were born in Africa then you are African or if you want to be more country specific then so be it.

Oh, and about charities and the like, I personally find that there are plenty of groups in America that might as well be classified as "we hate all non-blacks" or "We only care about blacks and anyone we can screw over to promote some black agenda is okay by us". I'd love to see a NAAWP started but somehow it would be racist or something.

I personally think all organizations that divide based on race or ethnicity should be abolished. I think it's silly that we claim to have such an equal country (countries) yet we are so divided on racial and cultural lines that you can usually tell what area of town someone is from based on the color of their skin.

[/rant] Okay, I think I'm done now.

well, I'm putting quotations around my goods and bads to try and make the point that to most people these terms are relative.

I believe there is an absolute good and evil. Every action is either positive or negative. I believe things/symbols are both good and bad/evil depending on their use.

A pentagram is both depending on how it's used.

For many people they don't know that the pentagram is used for good things. They only have it associated with evil or at least anti-christian uses eventhough for some time Christians actually used the symbol themselves.

okay, so answer my question.

I already did. It depends on how you use it.

hrm.... I find that Satan number hard to agree with. I didn't have time to read every post but as far as I'm concerned Satan can't kill someone because he doesn't have a physical body to do it.

You could argue murder via posession but that's really impossible to verify.

As for the people that God killed: 1) We are his creations and are supposed to live by his laws. 2) I see nothing wrong with getting rid of the people that have no chance of getting to heaven. Leaves some space for the rest of us 3) I don't think God kills anyone without first providing some warning. Come up with a story if you can but I think this holds true.

well, as much as it's annoying that you can't.... it's just a belt. Get over it.

buy a new belt and wear your other belt when you're not working. I really don't think it's worth the trouble of arguing with your boss.

well, I'm of the opinion that while working you aren't "you"... you are an employee and either you choose to comply with the dress code your boss sets out or you find a job that allows you more freedom in what you wear.

I agree that it's not fair that other employees get to wear emblems of their religious beliefs and you don't, but I also feel like you are being just as ignorant as they are. "Torture Symbol".... really? I realize the cross was used as a way to kill people at some point in history, but I fail to understand how it is offensive to you.

If the wearing of crosses actually offended you as much as you seem to say it does then why didn't you say something about it before? Is it just convenient that a you are offended by a "T" after someone was offended by your pentagram?

no it won't.... it won't do a damn thing

sure, they will see that on May 15th a slight drop in sales which will probably be countered by an increase over the following few days as people make up for it.

it's pointless. The only way to reduce gas prices is to lower demand by driving less than we do now. Basic economics.

I saw it and enjoyed it a lot....

the one thing about Venom that I didn't like was that he didn't call himself "us" or "we" like the cartoon did. I preferred that about Venom. Plus the voice wasn't great.

and something else I would love would be a crossover with some of the other current superhero series. Maybe a fantastic 4 mix with spiderman or something. Might be hard to do depending on which ones are used but I'd love to see it done

Blake was good, just not as an american idol.

Jordan fits the American Idol image better than blake did. Plus it seems like not winning is better than winning. Look at last year.

Or do you not know and just don't want to believe that he killed his wife and child?

well, I thought the point of a trial was for each side to attempt to "mislead" the jury towards their position.

Why certain words are banned from use is pretty stupid. Like Nagis said, they'll just have to use something like unwanted sex which isn't quite as forceful of a word as rape, the fact that these words were banned could be swaying the jury as it is. (wow that was a bad sentence)...

completely agree.

There are a lot of things in life that happen even if we may not like them. Violence is something that happens on a daily basis but I plan on doing all I can to shelter my kids from it as long as possible.

wow. I love how kids that are sheltered all of a sudden commit hate crimes and are homophobes. Way to draw a conclusion that isn't true.

I never suggested that kids should never learn about these things. If my kids ask me about sex, drugs etc. I would tell them what they need to know. There are certain things that 3 year olds don't need to know.

that's what microphones and webcams are for.... then do a live chat between the 2 people and you've got your proof.

I'm not a big fan on online relationships but that doesn't mean they can't work. People just need to be careful of what they do and say to people they meet on the internet.

I'm not taking sides here but I suggest you research the amount of money an average person needs to have spent on them to have their health care paid for.

and on a side note, "universal" health care is not all inclusive. It only covers a certain basic coverage plan that is decided by the government. There are many things over and above that have to be paid for by the user of the health care system. This still leaves people who don't get what others do because they can't afford it.
