| Ares nearly smiled. These humans were not properly prepared, they clearly misunderstood what he was doing.
A large and bright light appeared, giving out extreme heat. All of the land around them caught fire and turned into dust within less than a second. The light was capable of blinding everyone, and the ultraviolet light from the sun had potential to kill anyone unprotected. Realisitcally, survival without precharged shield is impossible. Ares then released what he was charging. What everyone here did not suspect, is that all he charged was a shield, the ability to protect himself from such heat, from the ultra violet light, and from the brightness able to blind someone, even if his eyes are closed. Ares shield stopped all the heat and ultraviolet light, and helped him be able to see despite the bright light. Appollo moved at a huge speed, several hundred miles per hour. He was to try and go at least a meter of first Leon, and then Kaijin, homing in on them, and moving at such a fast pace, that there was no chance of outrunning him, even with Leon's extreme speed. "You are but mortals in the realm of the strong. Leon has not enough time to charge a shield, instead of charging protection." |

| Both Leon and Kaijin underestimated him, and missed several things. Ares' shield was already up, and as such, he was able to sustain it for several more moments, and as it was a charged shield, it was legally able to block Leon's attack.
Kaijin's, however, was somewhat harder. However, even so, Ares' was familiar with this form of attack, which had one extreme weakness, it homed in to the body, in order to attack the spirit. With quick concentration, Ares concentrated on his soul, and suddenly he flew out of his body, astalling projecting for several moments, keeping the shield on his body. Ares would continue to fight outside of his body, which would not be able to do anything, until the attacks subside. The shield would protect him from the physical attacks. |

| Alex was hesitant, this was a much disagreed topic, and most people didn't agree with his point of view on certain things. "Well, to be honest, I don't think that little kids should be exposed to brutal violence seen in a lot of movies and games, nor should they be exposed to pornography. Also, many parents won't protect their children that can't handle vviolence from it.
"However, it is also not constitutional for the goverment to restrict this, and even then, it restricts it badly. For instance, I think that anyone should be allowed to play games like Fable, but they shouldn't be exposed to more violent games like Manhunt. What we really need it more ratings. I think that there should be at least to more ratings added, and then have the parents decide on what their children are allowed to play. "As for the internet, the goverments can't restrict that. It is for the entire world, and even then, children bypass what restrictions there are every day. It is a waste of time to try restricting that. "And as for reading, that is a waste of time, and most diffinitally inconstitutional. I don't think people should read immoral things, but I don't think it should be enforced. That's just asking for trouble." |

| ooc: Cairoi finally talked to Xeios, allowed me to join, and gave me a rank. I have his permission.
ic: Dveris had enjoyed the pope's speech. He knew that the pope was not the most intelligent, but it was clear that he was called to be His servant. Dveris only went along with the pope because of faith, and because they had a common cause. The magical creatures needed to be wiped out, there was no reason for them to have so much power. Dveris didn't work directly for the pope, rather, he worked for the king, assigned to work under the pope for a moment. He was also assigned to keep an eye on the king's other men. Apparently some of them were not entirely...trusted. As his assignment dictated, he had followed Jiang as he went up to see the pope. He could not respect Jiang while he showed little respect towards others. He spoke in response to Jiang, "Your words have no offense Jiang, but your tone and manner do. You don't want to create a fight." |

| First off, no, I don't think little kids should play things like GTA. However, the violence isn't really directly a part of it. You see, I have noticed that my younger siblings(and my dad at many times) end up acting...different after they play a video game for endless hours. Whenever my dad has to get off, he's not in the best of moods. Whenever I kick my younger brother off, he screams. Whenever I tell my younger sister she's been on too long, she screams "I KNOW!".
However, I have noticed that this doesn't happen with other people, like me or my older brother. So, I'll have to conclude that it is at least slightly related not to certain video games, but to any video game. To holding the controller in your hand and playing it. As for GTA, as your question was specifically pointed to, I wouldn't reccomend that to anyone. I don't enjoy games where the only purpose is violence. Mind you, I don't mind, I enjoy games with stylistic violence. That's what a video game is all about. However, I like my games to have more things to entertain than simply violence. For instance, look at the Halo series. I enjoy the fighting sequences in that, but what makes the first one good is the tactics that you can employ, or in the second, it had a great story. GTA has a...lame story to be honest. Oh, and any kid that goes off and kills someone, is messed up to begin with. You can't blame that on the games, or anything else except for the person that gave him the gun, and didn't notice when their kid hated someone enough to kill. Finally, GTA is also bad for more than just violence. I find that little children shouldn't be exposed to whatever else it has. |

| Dveris raised and eyebrow at Jiang, but said nothing as he walked away. However, to the Serpant, he answered, "I keep track of everyone, I'll go and retrieve her."
As Dveris walked away, he wondered at everyone. They were so...violent. He knew and agreed about the magical creatures, but everyone here seemed like they wanted to wipe out the magical creatures not to save lives, but simply to kill. He hoped he could find at least one person here who worked for the forces of good, and for the war. Very soon he was able to find Joan, as she was laying down on the pavement, seemingly daydreaming. She didn't look very violent, maybe he was lucky this time. "Joan," he addressed her, "Your presence is requested by the Serpant." |

| Yeah, I told one of my friends that if it wasn't posted, I was going to pretend to be going through psychological trauma, a depression, and a lot of other things.
Thanks to those who did respond to what I was forced to post though. We're celebrating it tonight, I might bother to tell you all what I'm getting. |

| Dveris answered Jiang. "I will be getting in your way. You will be fighting with the footmen, I believe that this should be mot convienent for you. I myself will be with the cavalry in my army. You may command yours how you will, but you will obey me."
Dveris nodded a thanks towards the pope, then turned towards the Serpant. "Don't you think that we have few enough soldiers without you two killing each other?" he asked, "Or perhaps you two should challenge eachother to a duel, that way then I wouldn't have to get involved and stop you both. As for you Serpant, morale is important. If a time comes when Guy is assigned to help you, do you seriously think he will?" He looked towards Guy, "And as for you, what you did was admirable, but it is better for you both that you ignore him. Unless you wish to risk what you have?" He turned, and walked away. | Dveris frowned. Such violence from...the pope? He would let it go. Apparently he was the only one here who went to war out of justice and will for right, rather than simply for violence.
"So be it." he said. Half an hour later, he arrived where his army's barracks were placed. He observed that there were a large number of cavalry, archers, and footmen. Excellent, the perfect army for fighting against magic. All he lacked were seige weapons. He planned on spending the rest of the day until the battles getting to know the troops, improving their morale. Hopefully he could get Jiang to do the same. |

"In my opinion, then drinking alchohol or smoking is bad already. I'd know. In the space of two years, at least two of my relatives died of cancer because they were heavy smokers and drinkers. "So, I think that underage is even worse. The body has no yet strengthened itself at that time, and as such, can cause permanent brain damage. Drinking espicially, but smoking is bad too. Smoking, unlike drinking, can cause terrible lung problems. My grandfather had to have surgery to both of his lungs, and right now has a scar that looks like he was cut in half and put back together again. "So, that is right Saijin, keep smoking that cigar, you'll have a terrible cough in a few years, your lungs will turn black, and you'll die of cancer. "Now for the thoughts of parents buying it for the children. I find that to be terrible, and I think that the social services should save that child from its parents. I find it to be a terrible and illegal practice which should be ended. No one, much less children should smoke, and if the parents allow children who are more vunerable to smoke, that is nothing short of evil." Vulkar smiled, "No offense towards those unlucky people who have parents that do." |

| No visible reaction came from Vulkar this time. "I used to play Guild Wars, but I forgot my character. As for other online games, I play Starcraft, Warcraft III, and Halo.
"Honestly, I don't play MMORPGs that much for a number of reasons. First off, I hate it when there is a ton of other people doing the exact same thing, it takes away from the feeling of being an all powerful characcter stronger than anyone else. That's what I like in an RPG. There is also the online fees, which I loathe. More people should do as Guild Wars and not need monthly fees." He smiled, "Yeah, short question, short answer." |
