Ah...Phoenix...I remember being busy like that in high school. And I was a pretty terrible procrastinator too. Although I don't know if it was because I just worked better under pressure or what, but when it came to academics, I always did better when my work was last minute anyway.

Xeo, I don't think it's lazy. Going to school and working at the same time is hard. It's one of the main reasons why college has been so damn difficult for me to get through, thus far. And it's hard to get in that frame of mind too. I don't think it's always about the physical. Sometimes mental and emotional slumps come up as well. Usually, in those situations, I try my best to get myself pumped to get up and do, and then I just close my eyes and just get up and do. Easier said than done, but in most cases, I have come to realize that it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Except going to art school full-time and working part-time simultaneously. That's a pain in the ass. For me at least. But also, "to each their own." Academics come easy to me. So that wasn't a problem, but for some people it's hard. Just like art, some people can get into it with much less difficulty and strain, and their work is soooooo much better than mine. Doesn't mean I suck, or other people are dumb. It just means that we are all good at different things. **shrugs** But yeah, a summer course, twice a week, 4 hours EACH...does seem like a lot. I'd say you're wiser for taking it in the fall. Just because you're altering your schedule doesn't mean you're lazy either. It just means you're altering and for good reason, because some situations just set us up to fail, so why spend time and money when we don't think we can hack what we're spending the time and money on?

And Rogue...damn you! I want to go to conventions and stuff. Badass that you get to go though.

I WAS going to go to Philly's Comic-Con this year, but it's this weekend, and I've been called in to work the whole weekend. **shrugs** That's pretty much it for me. I've been busy because I've had odd shifts this past week. My store has a lot going on, and I need to be there for like all of it.

Seriously....I was dying, I couldn't stop laughing. Prolly cuz I've been on a Chris Farley kick lately anyway, so just that kind of ambiance, if you will, is just utterly hilarious to me right now. Hahaha. Seriously though, he was awesome.

Yeah yeah, congrats to Chigaco.

There. The nice comment toward them. Won't happen again.

I'm seriously SOOO stoked for next season though. I think a joke a frend of mine said jinxed it for the FlyGuys. He says "We should just put a Leighton jersey on a brick wall, and I bet people would be lining up for autographs, because they wouldn't be able to tell the difference." XD XD XD And I LOLed quite heartily, so I probably helped the jinx. Because yeah...bullshit goal...And you could see where Leighton thought he was on top of it. But then when I saw the replay, it was like "Wtf...How did you MISS that?! You bastard!"

And...to tell you the truth, I don't know what the hell I am. I'm Irish, and I'm "dark Irish" (Not the redhead with blue/green eyes, but the chestnut brown hair and brown eyes.) and apparently "dark Irish" came about when they were colonized and under British control...blah blah blah...But I, personally, take after my father's side of my family most, when it comes to which nationalities I appear to be most like. He's Italian, and I'm obviously not from the Southern part of Italy, I'm so damn pale, but I've also got Eskimos in my direct ancestry, from very long ago up until very recently, actually, and I have Native American on both sides, as well as being British on my mom's side. At different times, those are the nationalities I'm told I'm most like, and as far as being "mixed" weren't the Eskimos originally from Russia? So I'm still all white, minus the Native American part.

So who the hell knows...as far as inter-racial is concerned, the closest to that I think I have heard about was my great-gram being disowned by her family in Ireland for marrying my Great-grandfather, then they moved to Britian, had predjiduce issues there, so they came to America. And thus, why I'm only the second generation on my mom's side of the family to be in this country.

Either way, I was raised to abhor racism, so this celebration pleases me.

Shit.

That's awesome, man.

Yes, I've downgraded to simple, caveman speech. It's reserved for when I REALLY think something is cool.

I know you can't say what title you're working on NOW, but as soon as you can, PLEASE do so. Odds are, I'll be selling it in my store, and I would very proudly sell/promote it. Even if it's WoW. I'm not a WoW fan, to tell you the truth. Mainly for the reasons you stated. I don't have the computer for it, the money to aquire said computer, or the patience to play as a lvl 1, or whatever, while everyone else is at the lvl cap, and killing me all the time. And I'd rather play other games. Simple as that. XD But you said Activision as well...so I know WoW isn't the only possible title you could be working on.

In any case, I'm very, VERY excited for you and I wish you all the luck in the world with this.

I'm glad you're doing better, especially from your original post here.

Listen, I think we're in a similar, of not the same, boat, as far as the whole "non-sex" dealie. Truthfuly, I've never put too much thought into my sexuality. I call myself "straight" because I've only been sexually attracted to men. **shrugs** My gram raised me to be this way though. To be accepting, so skin color, sexual orientation, that's not how a person is defined, per se. I think it's an attribute that shouldn't be ignored, but just because you notice someone is black or white, gay or straight, doesn't mean you're holding it against them. It means you're not ignoring them and still accepting it anyway. (Besides, why do we call it straight anyway? Gay people can have good posture, and non-gay people can have terrible slouches. Sexual orientation doesn't determine whether we're "straight" or "crooked" but I guess that's off topic. XD)

I don't think sex is as important as people make it out to be. I think it's awesome, and can either selfish or selfless. If you're going with the selfish route, then it's like Rogue said, people can have sex and not be in love. And that sex can be damn good. But in those cases, the people are having sex because THEY want to, and it makes them feel good. Correct? I think it's a more selfish reason to have sex, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Then there's selfless. There's the one where it's all about being close to that person, and wanting to please them, blah blah blah...but, that's the thing. If you're willing to have sex with this person for THEM, and not for your own purposes, then it might be difficult, but it's not impossible for one to accept that the other just doesn't want sex, be it at all, or just at that moment. And if the person truly had selfless intentions, then they'll somehow come to that understanding.

And there's nothing wrong with you for not wanting sex either! It's not the be all end all. Shit, I'm living with a girl whom I've known my entire life. I kid you not. And you know what? I'm the happiest I've ever been. I've always been at my happiest with her anyway. We know everything about each other, we trust each other more than anyone else, and as time has proven, she really IS one of the only people I'd do anything for. We co-exist so well. We con't constantly need each other for entertainment. Shit, we can be in the same ROOM, for HOURS, and not say a word to each other, just be off in our own little worlds. We're interested in different things, but what we have in common, we manage to do together. We argue like crazy, but I think it's because we hold back less because we don't have that insecurity of the other abandoning us. I can honestly say I'm more comfortable with this girl than any one else, and always have been. And yet, there is no sex, in fact, nothing sexual involved, yet we have this intimacy between us that I've never had with anyone else. Who knows, it could mean I'm not as straight as I think. Or it could mean that "soulmate" really DOESN'T mean that person you marry, have kids with, etc...But I don't miss sex, or desire sex, with her, or anyone else, and I'm perfectly happy just doing my thing, going to work, and working from home, playing video games, watching movies, TV, screwing around on the internet, hanging out with my friends in my freetime, and soon school full-time will be added to the mix. But this is all I want out of life right now, and I'm happy.

So, you, going to the parties and such, that's just you doing your thing. You can do that, you're not wrong for it, and you can and deserve to be, happy with that. You can also have someone to be intimate with, with or without sex, and you're not wrong or undeserving of that either. OR, I'm wrong, and totally off my rocker, but even if that's so, you're not the only one who wants to just "do your thing" without involving sex in your life, so if we ARE wrong for feeling that way, then at least you're not alone. And at least any advice potentially offered isn't just ideals being spoken out of my ass. I'm living them.

Otherwise, give Valhalla a chance. Seems like it'll break his heart if you don't. Haha.

O_o Wait...you can't put one yourself? Is that rule still there? That staff gives you permission for a custom title, or you can do what you please once you've accumulated a certain number of posts?

I remember the post rule, but I've been past it for so long that I guess I've taken for granted that I can just change my title as I please. (Which it's usually just silly song lyrics that I somehow apply to myself, what I'm thinking/feeling, etc...I didn't think people read them anymore, to tell you the truth.)

**shrugs** Valhalla is right. You're already ahead.

I don't think there's any advice I could give that would be sensitive to the topic, or make you feel good at all. I didn't realize that having a two parent house hold was normal, until I got to high school. For people who say sociology isn't a real science, I bite my thumb at them. My parents broke up the moment my mom found out she was pregnant with me. So my life was filled with older step-sisters from the man my mother ended up with (who is pretty freaking wonderful, lucky for me.) and several younger sisters through my dad, because having me at 16 didn't phase him, so he had to try again when he was 17, 19, and then somehow, found a woman dumb enough to have two more of his children when I was 13 and 14. I grew up in a struggling lower-middleclass family in a bad neighborhood in the city. If a kid still had two happily married parents, they were the outcasts of the block. So while people would sneer at my situation growing up, I didn't know any better, so it really, truly, didn't bother me.

We can talk, if things really bother you. I know it's not okay, what you're going through, but sometimes things can be made into livable situations in which you can put yourself in so you can in turn, move on and better yourself.

I hate to be the bitch to talk to you like this, but if you don't listen to your doctors, you're a heart attack waiting to happen.

I don't know what it is exactly you have, but you have a difibulator, and I know that isn't good. I have VERY mild heart problems, and heart disease runs in my family, so I know what a difibulator is, and they're scary. My heart broke (no pun intended) the moment I read that you had one put in. You're so young! And doctors thought it hit my family young...the ones in my family who actually are unfortunate enough to get heart disease, we're usually in our late 20's to early 40's when we're diagnosed...(Although it's mostly women who get heart disease, AND diabetes in my family, and something called PCOS is coming to light as something running in my family, and PCOS eventually causes heart disease and diabetes, so I'm on my own personal crusade to figure this one out.)

But still, you're just a teenager!! If you ever want someone to talk to, you and I are from the same area. Considering there's several places locally that are world renowned for their specialization in cardiology, you and I have more than likely crossed paths with the same doctors and institutions. I won't hesitate to have a good sit down with you and maybe help recommend some things, or simply just listen to you if need be.

Yeah, the staff forums. And the drama that went with it.

Although, this board, and the newer members, are MUCH more mature. There must be something evolved in those angsty teenage hormones. They're just not as "angsty" as they used to be. XD

I forget why I'm not on staff anymore, too. I think it was cuz of inactivity as well, I forget. All I know is, I don't really want to be on staff again. It seemed like ALL the active members were staff only at the time, and there was just soooo much drama. That way I can be like "You know what? You bastards, I'm not staff, and I have plenty of fun here." Besides, you don't have to be staff to have fun, help out, or come up with ideas, and Ima prove it, you bastards. XD XD XD I remember being SOOO excited to be on it though, but I mainly liked the light pink that came with being a local moderator. Seriously. And like, I never climbed higher than a local, and even now, not being on staff, all I gotta do is PM Xeo an idea and he's all ears. Only difference between now and then is it's a PM, so my post count isn't going up by just posting it in the staff forum.

PS: The whole "All I gotta do is PM Xeo." bit....it's not because I'm me. Xeo listens to everyone.

I know I'm going all over here, but this thread is just making me think back on the board. I always loved posting, obviously, or I wouldn't still be here, but...I really WAS immature then. Oiy.

What's wrong with the picture? :p It's showing up just fine on my computer, unless it's a FFVIII shit. **glares**

And yeah, I looked up most of my old layouts here, and when I was copying the headers and footers, I surprised myself with what I was able to understand. And easily too. So thr thought of making layouts doesn't seem TOO terrifying anymore.

As long as he doesn't play for the Flyers it doesn't matter what team he plays for. We're still the Broad Street Bullies, despite the mellowing hockey has forced the Flyers to do, and if you're not playing with us, whether we lose the game or not, you're going to bed sore that night. And NOT in the good way. XD

Seriously...when the Flyguys were actually winning cups, three years in a row, the NHL HATED them. With good reason **cough** But still....but all of a sudden, when the Russians came over, who did they want to play them? That's right. Broad Street Bullies. That's who. And what happened? The Russians skated off the ice after a few moments, were threatened to get back in or don't get paid.

THAT was hockey.

All teams should play like THAT again.

Exactly. Many MANY lame calls.

And, you know, since I was little, I thought it was only natural that the Flyers would play them because of them winning the cup back then. It wasn't until recently that I found through several non-Philly sources that it wasn't exactly the case. I'll have to see if I can dig up some of the things, and see if my gramps will let me get some of the documentaries off of his hard drive, because we've got a bunch of interesting things on the NHL (The Broad Street Bullies thing being only a segment once in a while) and I think you'd find them interesting, especially you, Seijika.

I think that's it though. I'm biased toward 1970's hockey. Because, to tell you the truth, hockey is a FANTASTIC sport. I love it. I wouldn't have played it myself for 11 years if I didn't like it. It's just that when it comes to watching other people play...well, I really can't sit and watch a sport on TV for any long period of time. Especially hockey. I just get antsy and wanna get up and play myself, rather than just watch it. I'm just weird like that. There's hockey, and then there's watching hockey.

When it comes to hockey, I don't care who you are, I love the sport. For example...Crosby...It's blasphemy in my city to be a fan of that guy...so, I have my fun and blast him just like the rest. What does he care? He's still in the NHL making more money than my life is even worth. But...as far as the sport is concerned, if we're going to just get down and talk about that...he's one helluva player and I wish I was just as good as he was.

I could go on and on and on (like I usually do) about hockey as a sport. The essence of it, I suppose (I am creeping myself out with my obsession here, so I won't be surprised if any of you are.) is completely different than getting in on the media slander and what everyone around you thinks. I was just SOOOO excited to see the Flyers make it so far. I'm soooo sick of hearing about our baseball team. I'm not much of a baseball fan. I was born into a hockey family.
