| Hahahaha. Well, yesterday we had 4 people reach 10. Today we have 3.
That's 70 bucks! Honestly, without giving away too much, I'm pleased with the way this is working, even on the second day. Honestly, the only reason why "money" is the "goal" is because ultimately this is for a business course, and it's got a financial aspect to the assignment. All and any posts over 10 count, as well. I'm recording the specific results separately on my own. But generally speaking, this is very awesome. Thanks guys!  <3 |

Snow brings humidity here.  It's annoying. And my city shuts down. And it sucks. Because recovering depends on how fast the shit melts.
And it's personally annoying because the means to handle snow are not in my, nor my family's budget, so we're hella unprepared. |

But I'd have to say "Empire" in the original Star Wars Trillogy. The weird thing is...ever notice that both the SW and Godfather series...they REALLY aren't "sequels" but are instead telling one REALLY long story? | Chicken in sushi? I wonder if I can find that around here...but when it comes to food, I am surrounded by a bunch of sissies. I'm usually the "brave" one when it comes to trying things, and I'm the one with the broken pancreas! Haha. But one thing I can't handle is texture. I think it's because I don't smell or taste too well. Like, I tried octopus once on a dare...he was just looking at me and my nephew dared me...but I didn't smell or taste anything. Just felt the texture and puked instantly. So I'm a little nervous about fish, to be honest. Can anyone here tell me what kind to avoid trying when it comes to sushi? I've been wanting to be adventerous, but have either been too poor, or afrad to have another "octopus" incident in public.

| Anyone else take uber amounts of pleasure in witnessing this phenomenon?
Especially when they fall off a bike or something, and don't actually get hurt, or hurt badly. I have a "dumb criminal of the day" sort of situation at my work, actually, that most definitely fits the bill...although NOT very funny at first. Basically some guy walked right up to my counter, behind it, shoved me out of the way, snagged a 3-DS and ran off. Kept appologizing the entire time actually, especially after shoving me. I was too surprised to even realize what was happening as it did. Well, the guy is a regular. Like, he has the discount card and we have ALL of his information. And a REALLY badass camera system. The guy is like, in his mid-twenties, so it's not like this was some little kid pulling this dumb shit off either. But anyway, I called the number listed, and his mom, whom I actually know outside of work, answers. I tell her what happened. Told her that if he brings the item back, and I will be checking the serial number, and that it's in the same EXACT condition it was in when taken, charger, everything, that the worst that would happen to him is that he would be banned from, pretty much every public place in the Tri-state area. Well, this guy screws up pretty badly, so I HAD to file the police report. But point is...we had ALL of his information! Everything except social seciurity number, pretty much. So why? O_o And then comes BACK to my store, WHILE the cops are there, and hands me a hundred bucks. Says it's to pay for it. I was like "Dude, these things are about 170 after tax...and I need the item first. But these nice men in blue will get it back for me, so keep your hundred dollars."  Seriously. |

| Guys...77 freaking posts yesterday...
3 under the goal...we are awesome. I'm relying heavily upon XPW, and will record the results daily, but I'm thinking that I'll do only the incredibly specific updates once a week. Like, who had speicifically made 10, who made more, and thus helped make up for others not making 10. And who posted that was NOT in the initial list...cuz remember, everything counts...just several different angles. I know we're tired and shit, because real life sucks...but I still SERIOUSLY appreciate this. But, I don't want anyone hating this, so there's no gun to anyone's head about this. Just want to keep reminding everyone. It's just a favor that I am extremely grateful for, and I hope it's making posting here more fun as well. |

Hahaha. But yah. New threads. I've been running a bunch of topics through my mind, but that's a stop and go kinda thing. See, if there isn't much general activity, then new threads will just fall to the wayside. We have a few threads that...I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty addcited to now. And not because of this "experiment"...well, sorta, because I'm posting here more, but still...like the answer one ask one...it's actually really fun. Rogue and Elara do most of it. But even though I don't comment on every little thing said there, I still read everything, and it's just...cool random facts, I guess we could call it. Point is, new threads, while I think a few here and there should occur, they pretty much run along the lines of the amount of general activity. And I don't want topics falling away now, when at the end of the month, who knows, we could have more new members, more old members coming back, just generally more people seeing and talking about these things, so more threads will just naturally be a part of the board. I'm surprisingly not ashamed of my choice of music at any point in my life. But I was exposed to all sorts since birth pretty much, so my problem was finding a favorite. I just realized something...what about the notion of "chores"? Like, seriously...some of us are on our own now, and those that aren't...well, we ARE older...but did anyone have any chores as a kid and they loathed doing them? Although, I never had a problem with doing dishes, someone would still have to say "Hey Kate, can you do up the dishes?" for me to think to do them. Just now, I walked by my sink, and did them because they were there. Same reason why I vacumn, wipe things down, dust, etc...just because I'm here, it's there, and something should be done about it. I can't pinpoint when I made that change, but it happened somewhere while growing up. :p |

| So...I'm totally addicted to the music that comes with anime. If I could call any part of this form of entertainment an obsession of mine, it would be the music.
Inu Yasha for instance. Honestly, there's better out there...but the music? Omfg...some of the BEST I've ever had the privilege of hearing. And it's Inu Yasha's themes, actually that got me into J-pop. They've used the same artist for more than one song several themes, which lead me to searching for actual J-music artists, rather than just the songs from only the series themselves. Thus why I am utterly obsessed with "Every Little Thing." a band used twice in the Inu Yasha series. "Itasura no KISSU" is also one of my favorite songs, but used to be UBER hard to find. Other shows that have music that I have been obsessed with are Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z( ESPECIALLY GT. Didn't like the series as much...didn't hate it though...but the music was my favorite in all DB Universe.) Full Metal Alchemist, Chobits, Magic Knights Rayearth, and I didn't get too much into the show, it was on ONDemand, but the opening and ending to Super Gals was amazing. My question is this...can anyone earn my undying love forever and ever, or lackthereof should you choose, for telling me a good place to download just the music? Like...all of it? I'm also a completionist, even when I D/L this stuff. I like the titles going with the right series, right order(sometimes this is nearly impossible though, unless I arrange it myself.) and if there are several CD's, then all the music staying with their perspective CD's....yeah...I'm like OCD about keeping that shit organized... But I am LONG overdue on my listening, so this would be much appreciated. <3 |

| MAJOR bump...but I didn't see the sense in making a new one about this...
I wish I could say that I grew up on these movies...but unfortunately I haven't. However, I can say this: as an adult, these are some of the most inspirational pieces of work I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. The music, stories, animation...I could go on. But they bring out all sorts of emotions I had as a kid, and I makes me look back on my thoughts and feelings as a kid quite fondly, rather than the typical "what was I thinking?" kinda dealie. I have recently gotten my hands on all of soundtracks for each film, except Ponyo. Not even sure if there really is one. Haven't bothered. Ponyo, despite a lot of the criticism it's received, I adore. But it's the only one that didn't have music that grabbed me...still VERY enjoyable. I'd say something else about it, but I forget the spoiler tags... These movies have a GINORMOUS impact on my life. Have. No past tense only there. They make me remember what it is I am truly passionate about, and I stop doubting myself and get my ass back in gear (Film/art, etc...not the easiest industry to break into, after all.) Besides, they're working on another one. Based on "The Borrowers." Not too sure if it'll be one of my favorites, but I'll always give these films a fair chance. But so far I have seen both Japanese and English versions of: Totoro Spirited Away Howl's Moving Castle(read the books first actually...well, 3 of them. There may be a 4th one?) And only the english versions of: Kiki's Delivery Service Laputa's Castle in the Sky(10 points for Griffindor if you know why they took out the word "Laputa" in the main title after it's release...) And I NEED to see Whisper of the Heart...I love the music too much not to... |

I was in charge last week, and minus the exception of some guy shoving me and taking something from right behind the counter, we had no issues. In fact, that robbery was a step UP! Better than looking down the barrel of a gun or having a knife poke me in the back by some weird asshole, threatening to put the cloth he has in his hand over my mouth if I fuss...Yeah. Pretty bad when days without those sort of issues are rare... But then, you come back...and you fuck EVERYthing up! I had ALL of your mistakes fixed. I had a staff that was compliant with the work that needed to be done. Not only was compliance 100%, but so was our fucking accuracy! Oh, and those subs and reserves that GameStop likes pushing on people so much? Yeah...we were at SEVENTY FUCKING PERCENT on BOTH last week. Did Madden's release help? Yes. But does it also help that our sales and percentages, and compliances and accuracies are ALWAYS high when I'm in charge? No dear sir, that is NOT a coincidence. I'm damn good at what I fucking do, and you'd better respect that or lose your damn job, because when I finish wrapping up my lawsuit, you're fucking done, and I'll be rich. So for my sake, keep openly discriminating against me, making uncalled for advances, changing my schedule AFTER it's been posted...He fucking changed it THIS morning! Sunday begins each work week. When I called last night to make sure it was still correct, I was told "Oh no, you're not in until Tuesday at 10am." "Okay, Yay!" Then I get a fucking phone call this morning saying I was supposed to be in a half hour ago? You're SOOOO fucking dumb....YOU were the one I talked to last night!!! YOU did NOT call me to say you changed it at some point, and when I went in to straighten your ass out this morning...Here's where you're REALLY dumb...The computer tells me when the fucking schedules are made, altered, AND printed! All of this was done THIS MORNING. You CAN NOT expect me to comply with a schedule made the week of, especially since you can't document proof that there is some sort of emergency. I know more about the company than you, asshole. Stop pretending that isn't true, and MAYBE I won't take your ass down so badly and easily. You're making dumb mistakes and it's pissing me off. | Sometimes I get that toolbag that goes "Huh, small world..." over the most minor coincidence, and it makes me want to punch babies.
But sometimes they can be really cool... Like, that pushover I work for, my District Manager, I mentioned in another thread...he was a senior when I was a freshman in high school...and we went to the same school. Not only that, but he's apparently friends with one of my cousins. Now, to be honest, all of this points to me should having known him a little better...but...he was three years ahead of me, and a school of 3 thousand students, and unless it's like someone a family member has been friends with since I was born, or REALLY little, I don't really meddle in their friendships. But it was funny meeting him for the "first time" because here he comes...walking into my store like he's tough shit, shaking people's hands, introducing himself. Then gets to me and goes "Holy SHIT! It IS you!" and I'm all "What?" and he's all "Your last name is Babe...kinda hard not to remember..." and then proceeds to say "You're that little thing that beat the shit outta the football team when you were a freshman, right?!" And I'm immediately correcting him "No, not the whole team. And it wasn't much of a fight. They tried shoving me in a locker, but my big head stopped that...so I waited until they were all together, in public, went right up to the biggest one, pulled him to my height and flipped shit. That's not beating up an entire team. That's not beating anyone up." And what's great is...he's been a pushover still ever since. Not that I WANT to bully people...but this is work, and my boss is a complete fucktard(See fuck you thread in Sunset) and I need someone's ear to get my way...considering HIS way has gotten some of my employees hurt in a robbery, since he didn't know how to handle it, and MY way has kept people safe. When the safety of my boys is the issue...Well, I am the BIGGEST bitch in the WORLD when it comes to seeing to their safety.
On top of that, my DM claims to remembering me being the one teasing him and my cousin because my uncle was taking me to a hockey game and not them. That I do vaguely remember though...The guy didn't stand out or anything, but since he brought it up and not me, I have reason to believe it was my DM that I was teasing. XD So, has anything at least semi-cool happened to any of you guys, in which that "small world" toolbag would be right in saying? |
