| Yeah. Once round one is over, we can reunite for the Kings.
Until then, I'm just having a blast making bar appearances with one of my best friends. He's for his Richards jersey, and I have a Carter shirt, and for those who are local/follow the Flyers, will understand. :p But, it's the play-offs. I don't give a shit if it's game 4, with a 3-0 lead, and all three previous games being complete and utter shutouts, AND everyone on the other team has their hands broken and are blind. They throw around stats constantly, but you seriously NEVER know with these things. Strange shit happen. The year the Flyers went to the cup with Chicago, we shouldn't have gotten past Boston that year. So, nothing's over 'til the fat lady sings. Edit: I'm not even going to change that shit above there. Pens woke up, and the Flyers didn't expect that. Now Bryz is "hurt" and Fleury finally realized the Pens might not have gone back home honorably. :p All I know is, Flyers better take this series, and most likely the next, because if we're still in around my birthday, my boss is hooking me up with tickets. :p Oh, and the Flyers should NEVER play like they did on Wednesday ever again. It was embarrassing. The fighting and theatrics are great when they're actually playing hockey as well. But if the game is shit, they just look dumb acting like they did. Rinaldo got what he deserved. (Now that I'm sober. Being drunk and angry made his actions look better. :p ) |

Hopefully tonight is better. And to clarify about the theatrics remark, cuz I said that to someone earlier and they took it the wrong way. I don't mean as long as they're "winning." You can still play a good game and lose the shit out of it. And THAT'S when the theatrics are great. Like Hartnell doing that Hulk Hogan thing to the Hogan look-a-like? That shit was hilarious. I want them to be done with the suspensions though. There's going to be fights. It's an extreme contact sport, and compile that with some general bad attitudes, and a need to prove oneself, and hockey is going to be full of that shit. But Rinaldo straight up followed the guy, and intentionally buttraped him on the ice. Even if he had hit Rinaldo REALLY hard right before Rinaldo did that, it'd STILL feel like the line was crossed. Although, I hate to say it, but Crosby needs to stop getting into a fight and backing up until the ref steps in and THEN throwing a punch. I hate that shit. Hartnell shoulda kicked his ass that one game. And it's not a Penguins thing either. Crosby pisses me off because he's the fucking second coming of christ when it comes to actually PLAYING the sport. His attitude is just terrible. He really is a crybaby, and he plays dirty. It doesn't get called often, but he does. It's not that he's the only one, but he's one of the few who's skill level transcends that bullshit entirely. Like, if Crosby ONLY got on the ice and played, he'd still be one of the most entertaining players. And that's my ACTUAL reason for my bad feelings toward Crosby. Man...hockey was my LIFE...and even though I got hurt, I would have NEVER had a shot at the pros, and I wanted it. Badly. People who waste their talents like that get me all sorts of riled up. If they suck, I don't care though. Like Asham. When he played for us, I couldn't stand him, but he's a terrible player to boot, so he HAS to do SOMEthing to keep getting attention so he can keep getting paid. /rant |

| Most of them are pretty cool off the ice. WHen you have a job that gives you attention, I've always saw a person as having two different identities, only because, it always seemed to be most fair. I've figured out that WAY too many people have pissed me off doing what they do best, BUT, personally, they're fantastically wonderful people. So, ON the ice Crosby is a little bitch, but that's not his entire identity.
Hartnell for example. I couldn't stand him when he first started. I thought he was a shitty player and was WAY too aggressive for the "lack of skill." Then I went to a "Meet the Flyers" thing, and as he was signing my jersey, I looked up at him and said "thank you!" and he stopped dead (I'll have to bring the pic over here, because the pic was taken JUST at this moment) and was like "You're the first person to be sincerely grateful I've seen this entire evening." and I was like "Really?" and we talked about hockey a little bit, and how crushed I was to have to stop playing, but it was inevitable anyway, so at least I went out like a boss. Before I left that night, someone pulls me aside and gives me free tickets to one of the upcoming games at the time, from Hartnell. So...I've been enamored ever since. And he gave me a bit of a talk that made me feel a little better about not playing anymore, so that was a plus too. The Hogan thing, I knew. And it's totally badass that he's survived cancer. We know that here too, honest. It's almost like a show of affection to be heckled a bit. It's like that perpetual state of when that boy in the second grade likes you, he sticks spiders in your hair or something else that pisses you off. I have't been around anyone yet that didn't absolutely LOVE the Hogan look-alike. The goalie situation? I would get lynched around here if I said this in public, but I absolutely love Fleury. Thomas from the Bruins too. I'm a bit disappointed that his year wasn't as fantastic as other years for him. And Marty Brodeur? His days are numbered, but HIS career was fucking phenomenal! Hextall though...I modeled my entire hockey life after that guy. <333 Needless to say, I'm quite a fan of the goalies from most of the major teams in the NHL. As for Crosby, it's not so much the "not wanting to get hurt" that bothers me. That's called being smart. Even I acknowledge that. It's the dirty hits, the pussy fights, and the dives. I HATE that it's cliche to accuse a Penguin of a dive, but they actually DO do it. I can totally understand him not wanting to get hurt. More now than ever, but if you're going to be THAT scared then don't act like a tough guy. When I got hurt it was ultimately all about that. Some asshole essentially made sure he took out my knees for good when he slammed into me. And it ALL started from me acting WAY too immaturely and like a big bully, to be perfectly honest. So, sometimes acting tough catches up to you. But he needs to either stay out of the issues, or follow through. Wow this shit is long. :p Btw, hooray for the most cordial heckling EVER. Lmao. I DID pick my fight with a stranger afterward though. Never learned my lesson apparently. XD |

| !!!!! I completely forgot all about that thing with Thomas! I was PISSED when that shit went down though. But what you did just there (I see it) was how most people do NOT think, and I sincerely wish they do. You called him "The President" and referred to him as such as well. I'm pretty sure you a supporter of this President, but still, I recall you referring to Bush the same. Without getting too political here, I'll just say that the office should be respected at all times. Might not have to respect the man in the chair, but the OFFICE...and what Thomas did was stupid. Kids look up to these guys....
But like I said before, I separate PEOPLE from their careers whenever possible. And this year has been one of Thomas' worst years that I could think of by far. But I'm watching their game now, and damn... With the Hogan guy, I probably shouldn't have said "EVERYONE". It only FEELS like it's everyone. It's not like it was on the news here about Hogan guy, but I could walk out my door and my neighbor, knowing me my entire life, knowing that I love wrestling and idolized Hogan as a kid, was jabbing me about it, but always ended the discussion with "But the guy's a cancer survivor, didn't you hear?" and we have 30-40 families per block, pretty much, in the neighborhood I'm from, so I keep forgetting that it's not the same EVERYWHERE...so most I'm surrounded by knew at least. :p |

| If I hadn't grown up any since I first joined here, I believe the old self would say "What the fuck. She's too young. She shoulda been smarter...that guy is a tool." and probably lots of other really closed-minded things.
But then I grew up. Best advice/input I could offer is to look at her and only her, and do your best when making judgement calls. There are way too many people in my family, so I believe I can at least honestly say I have first hand experience in seeing that things operate on a case by case basis. My second oldest niece just turned 18 and her kid will be 2 next month...she was getting into drugs and ALL sorts of bad shit, but the second that stick indicated "baby" she was a whole new person. She pulled a complete 180. She's even gotten her GED and taking general courses at the community college so she could go into nursing when she's done with the generals. She's supporting her kid extremely well. The baby herself is sweet and grabs at your heart the moment you see her, so the baby is spoiled because people fall in love with the kid, let alone my niece having a network of support. BUT, she also let me protect her. Not from responsibility, but from her mother(my sister) from babying her and giving her plenty of reasons to NOT take responsibility for her baby. I have another niece who is wild, and if SHE got pregnant, I'd be SHOCKED if it turned out well at all. So, when I saw a kid, and my mom was a fuck-up about all sorts of shit, I was very closed-minded and saw things in black and white. But just understand that what might be the best for you and your sister is to take her personality and situation into consideration before anything else. And support works. When I had a miscarriage, my family was there for me, despite them being the way they were over the years, and it helped me get out of the deepest depression I had ever been in my life. Support works. Just find a way to be supportive without coddling too much and the only way to do that is to just think of her, how she is, and her needs, not anyone else's. |

| I can't STAND those NBC jack-offs. And I LOVE Brodeur. When we're not playing them, I'm all about watching him and getting all excited at his awesomefucktastic saves.
But uh...still happier about the outcome. I just hope that no one jumps on the whole "Briere kicked the puck in the net." It was an accident. Briere should be a marksman. If he weren't a hockey player, he would be a FANTASTIC marksman. He doesn't need to kick a puck into the net to be "good" and of all the players we have, he'd be the least likely to pull a stunt like that on purpose. On the replay, even he hesitated like "Uh...I'm not sure if that's going to count..."So were the rest of the Flyers actually. **shrugs** Game was kinda boring in comparison the Pens series. And they were the favorite not just for the series, but for the Cup, so....yeah. Crazy shit happens. Hence why I'm not going to get cocky about the Cup from here on out. Shit's getting real, and Jersey makes me nervous. :p |

I was so upset. LOTS of yelling and cursing and throwing shit in my house. And I was home alone. :p I will admit, I enjoy Marty Brodeur, and get chastised to hell for it. What went on on Facebook was nothing. When I say that shit in person, I get slugged like crazy on top of the verbal beat down. :p But as far as that one offsides goal in the Pens round, yeah, shit happens. But honestly, with the Penguins, I mind it a little less. I don't think players should go and do that shit on purpose, no matter what, but the Penguins play just as dirty as the Flyers. When they're dethroned as America's Sweethearts (which I think if the Kings take the cup this year there's a good shot of them getting a lot more press over here, and not just the usual 'cup champion' shenanigans.) people will see that a lot more. I want the Rangers gone too. Honestly, at this point, I just want the Kings to win the cup. I kid and say it's because Ron Hextall is their GM (I modeled my childhood hockey 'career' after that man) and they have Carter and Richards (Although Richards was like the Second Coming in my eyes.). Not gonna lie, those are the things that made me pay more attention to the Kings, but once I did, I dunno. Good stuff, in my opinion. I can't wait until next season though. I haven't followed hockey the past few seasons as much as I have in the past. I seriously didn't know who was the best and who wasn't, by the end of the season. I watched whatever games I could over the past few years, but that was it. But now I have a boss who sent me to two hockey games this season, and is all "Yo, I have season tickets. I can't make a lot of the games though, so you can go instead." and I'm all "Fuck yeah!" |

| Man. I did karate when I was REALLY little, right before I started playing hockey. A little over a year, when I was 4-5. Then it got too expensive, and my step-dad put me in hockey, because that's what I wanted to do ANYway, and at the time, the playground was running a state fund thingie where it was free or something. I don't really remember the details on account of being pint-sized and all.
I just remember that I absolutely LOVED going to karate and until I found out I got my way with hockey, I was highly upset that I had to stop going. :p But I'd love to do that shit again. It's just still WAY too expensive. So, I joined a gym around here instead and just work out. That's been good enough for me lately. Joined about a month ago, went like....6 times already, and the changes are already obvious, so I'm excited that I'm getting my stamina back. Even if martial arts were free somehow, right now, I wouldn't have the energy to keep up just yet anyway :p |

| I'm okay with the Caps. Not gonna lie. But yeah, they played like shit the whole series with Jersey, I think. I love the Flyers, and I'm not forsaking my fandom by any means, but there's a line between looking WAY too dumb defending certain things and looking like a loyal fan. And defending what I saw of the Flyers in series 2 is dumb.
Besides, I like the sport for the sake of the actual sport, so I don't only support my home team. If you're playing good games, I'm interested, like the Kings. And I like Ovechkin. |

| If you think it was rushed, then it was rushed. If not, then it wasn't. You're an adult now. One good thing about that is at least we have a slightly better handle of who we are and what we want.
But you have to go with YOUR gut. Don't let someone push social convention upon you...but don't forget that "convention" is just that for a reason. If your gut tells you this is too fast and you don't like it, slow it down, like Rogue said. But don't ruin a nice thing for yourself either. So what if you kissed her. That doesn't make your intentions lecherous, nor does it make this girl the "Whore of Babylon." Assuming that a kiss automatically means the relationship is going to lead to boyfriend/girlfriend status, then sex right away is something that should be left in high school. And if you think her sleeping over was rushed, then let her know. Seriously. Because if this is something that is/could make you happy, then I hope it all works out. You deserve that man. |

The pokemon is hilarious. I saw that on Facebook and almost died. As for Katniss and Merida...I like it. With the fog issue, I was wondering, because the one where you added the fog to both, AND around the background a little...is there any way the green in the background could be toned down? I'm not sure if I'm cool with suggesting this, because I love the vibrancy of the background...but with all the extra fog, half of the picture looks like they're in a place where it just rained, which, I actually think looks pretty cool. If the rest could be a little dimmer to make it look like it's a bit overcast? As for the rest....I don't think it looks flat. I mean, Merida DOES look flat, but it doesn't bother me. She's animated. It immediately makes sense, and actually makes the whole idea more charming to me. |

It was awesome. Worked. My boss bought me a giant ass cake because they think it's funny when I'm all sugared up. Then I went home and most of my family was there. House is small as fuck, so having 13 people there (and it still wasn't my entire immediate family!) was nuts. We always get into wrestling matches when we get together, and yesterday, I was Tea-bagged by a five year old. So, needless to say, my ass got owned. And my friends hooked me up with more alcohol, so now I can spend my weekends smelling like you're taking an order from Billy Bob Thornton from the Taco Bell drive thru! Yay! :p |
