Ahahaha. Man. I only wish I didn't continuously re-live being thought of as a teenager in person. Keeps the memories close to my heart though!

Well, even though in the past we've been sticklers for duplicate accounts, I think its hella awesome for anyone to look back on themselves and see how they've grown. (Too many adults in this world still can't do that.) but welcome back!!!

How the heck have you been? What have you been up to? Anything awesome??

I very strongly do not want to hate it. I want to see something where the good guy isn't ultimately successful and the struggle and repercussions that come with it. "Gotham" could be the perfect entity for that, being as we all know, the city needs Batman someday.

With the various presentations of "Batman" I have experienced, I am okay with a little bit of backstory change, but in this case, unless they're hoping to make it and follow-up with either a badass season finale, or a lead-in to another live-action Batman series, I see less of a purpose for changing backstories. I'm not feeling the immediate gain from the changes and in this case, if its meant to never lead to more than just a prequel story, then the immediate pay-off is necessary.

I'm still giving it a chance, but I've DVR'd it rather than fussed over watching it when it comes on.

Didn't get to season 3 yet, but part of me is excited that I can binge watch rather than hate myself for 6 days at a time for a few weeks. And I agree that its a lot more adult. I'm quite a fan of media that grows up with its original fanbase. The animation is stunning at times and...that soundtrack.

And I totally agree with Rogue. While I enjoyed the stakes much more in Season 2, I LOVED the eerie realism portrayed in Season 1. Even down to the spoiler tag Rogue posted, there was something terrifyingly real about it.

Watched "Frozen" again with the kiddies. I still ONLY like the song "Let It Go" and my littlest ones (who are 7+ now...**cries**) actually sing the words properly, so I'm less annoyed with their sing-a-long.

I have to say though, I don't want to be surprised I liked the movie. I actually never go into something hoping to be disappointed. But I was kinda surprised because I didn't like the first half at all. I'll admit I read spoilers, but even with knowing the ultimate theme and turn-a-round of the film, I was trying very hard not to be annoyed. That is until I watched the whole movie in its entirety. I found a lot to laugh about. From the general spoilers I read I got the impression it was one whole piece that made fun of a genre as a whole. While it accomplished just that, the movie very heavily made fun of itself. Which made watching it a second time super enjoyable.

Shit in fiery brown paper bag and leave it on their doorstep?

Does anyone do that anymore?

Anyone?

Its frustrating when you can't go anywhere, but sometimes you just can't fix stupid. Do you guys own the house and are trapped in a 30 year mortgage? If you don't mind my asking at least. You're still young. It is because of these things that I've always at least, found it to be VERY acceptable to rent or the idea of "starter homes" for those who can afford it.

Moving isn't easy. At all. But there is a major difference between 30-year-mortgage stuck and no funds stuck. That's why I asked. Either way, I was just hoping you weren't locked in due to something that funds or not, still difficult to get out kind of situation. I wish you and your family all the best with these assholes. Seems like thus far you're handling it maturely though.

Ditto.

Rogue, I'm sorry. People are pretty intense and stupid. As frustrating as it was, I'm glad you still went through with it.

I'm from Philadelphia, so we're pretty liberal here for the most part. I was more than pleased with the governors' results to say the least and very excited to have voted (in person) for my first winner. I had to vote absentee both times for the presidential elections.

So, I put these up on facebook already (except for the last two) but I prefer chatting among friends than masses of people who arbitrarily give a shit (or pretend to) but, lots going on and I'm very excited. Due to the amount of scar tissue I've got going on, I was instructed to pop out a kid or so asap before I have to get some serious, can't have kids anymore to say the least, work done. (This isn't Sunset. Minimal details. XD) So...

It's A Boy!

And then this happened.

Even though my mom was there when it happened, she wanted us to do a re-enaction shot later.

Yes, that's a bar. If anyone has ever seen the show "Cheers" think something along those lines. XD Its one of our neighborhood staples where everyone claims to be my Godfather just because I'm the great-granddaughter of the neighborhood's longest reigning crossing guard and come from the family that owned the Mom and Pop's store for over 30 years. XD (Plus it helps that I was 4 when the store closed, so I was in there ALL the freaking time. I remember a lot about it.) So yeah, safe place to be and I get free food.

7 and a half weeks early, but...

Baby.

He's doing wonderful, but in NICU. Basically Wayne Simmonds won the Flyers game on Tuesday in a shoot out and my kid was like "Naw man. I gotta see this shit." and started working his way out and made it here by Wednesday afternoon. (Or the likely catalyst was my water breaking Monday afternoon and them trying to keep him in for as long as possible, which only lasted until Wednesday, but the other version makes me proud.)

So, when I make birthday threads, they usually get duplicated because I'm not as clever as I think and my titles are usually too out there. Haha.

But Happy Birthday to the lady with THE best New Year's Resolution for I believe three years strong now, that I've ever seen! I love following your adventures and learning things along with you and I hope that today is no different!

**raises hand** Right here! I dropped the ball on this discussion.

So, when we all agree it is acceptable to speak without worrying about spoilers, I would definitely give a more heartfelt opinion, but I'm very middle of the road with it.

I loved it but I'm in such a limbo that I'm more excited about the next one than I was about this one. I can but also can't entirely put my finger on it, but there were lots of things that I wasn't crazy about but then again, depending on what and where they go with those things, I could very well absolutely LOVE this one more. I hope that makes sense. Most of those sentiments are in regard to Kylo Ren. There was so much I just didn't like, but its also all totally redeemable, so I'm in eager anticipation of seeing what happens.

Side note: I found a lovely name for my daughter after seeing this one, so I'll never say it was all bad.

I wasn't too mad about the rehashing to be honest. I found it mostly necessary. I'm not too impressed with Snoke mostly. I definitely agree on this being a somewhat overdone thing on Abrams' part, but this time for me it wasn't even because of how many years between the original trilogy and this one. It was the time PLUS the fact that another trilogy was shown in between.

How these characters relate, however, is what I'm looking forward to seeing the most. I didn't feel Adam Driver's portrayal of an unstable character did anything for me. Yet there's a few things they can do with that in the future. I loved loved LOVED Daisy Ridley. I enjoyed Poe and Finn's screen time together the most though. I know there's so many memes surrounding these two but I genuinely enjoyed them on screen.

I wasn't impressed with the "Death Planet" but I AM impressed with the First Order. There's something real and relevant to them outside of the sphere of the film to make them just the right kind of eerie.

I only saw the "live" thing once so far. I don't know what that means per se since I ignored it.

Facebook hasn't even been fun for trolling people. Apparently members of my family got into very serious arguments about kids getting too much for Easter. So, being a smartass, I took a picture with my son's Christmas and Easter bibs on it and now some of my family thinks it was funny because they know me and the others are sending me hate mail. One of my aunts thinks she's "ripped me a new one" by reminding me of the two Easters in a row I got A LOT of stuff from my grandfather. Yes, I remember those years as well. But I also grew like a boy (first outward sign of my future female hormonal issues actually) and I grew so much so fast that I honest to goodness could not fit into ANYTHING from the year before. So given the sales on clothes this time of year, my grand pop hooked me up. Which is why personally? I don't care what you people celebrate and get for your kids. For one, I'm not you. I don't know your story. What if your kid NEEDS something? What if you just WANTED to do it? None of my business…but this is the shit I'm sick of seeing on Facebook./rant

But seriously. No humor on this thing anymore. =/

So…Professor Snape and Padme? I couldn't unsee it. XD

Oddly enough, the score "London Calling" from Into Darkness is amazing. Something good came from it at least?

Even with Kylo, there is just something…I don't know…"off" but I don't know if that's in a god or bad way yet. I'd like to see the next movie prove to be a revelation involving lots of intent behind Kylo's persona, in both the writing AND character's mind. I want to give it one more movie before I decide whether or not they never learned the "emo force wielder" isn't awesome lesson.

With Snoke, I agree, I'd hate to see him as the main orchestrator, but I would be more than willing to accept that he was somehow in existence. Someone who wouldn't need screen time wasted on brushing him up on the events of the past at least.

"Hey, I know its like twenty bucks, but would you be mad at me if I bought Star Wars over this Comcast thingie?" -Best text ever from my fiancé, and I received it yesterday upon leaving a rather stressful doctor's appointment. And when I got home, his cousin surprised me with a two liter bottle of pepsi and two boxes of Gushers. Best day ever.

So after watching it a second time, I have to say that overall, I enjoyed it a whole lot more. I still stand by the idea that the rehash of "A New Hope" was necessary even moreso now than I did the last time. Could they have done without some of it? Sure. There was a lot of rehashing with no other point than to simply make the old fans smile (the chess game on the Falcon.) If "Jedi" was the last time we heard the Star Wars theme in theaters I would be a lot less patient with the repeat, but it wasn't…

As for the theories, I have to say that I'm impressed with a lot of them. The Kenobi theory? I agree with both Xeo and Vulkar on this one actually, so I'm content with this being true or not. The Obi-Wan I first met is exactly what Vulkar said…but the Obi-Wan brought to life by Ewan McGregor is the perfect bookend. Alec Guinness was fully fledged, fully experienced, knew who he was. Ewan McGregor was the beginning, the teenagers/younger adults we all were when we first met here. Unsure of ourselves, untapped potential but not quite got our sea legs yet in this world…and with how broken Obi-Wan was left at the end of III, he was nowhere near the man we met in IV. (The whole character of Obi-Wan is by far my favorite. He's definitely the reason why I can't hate the prequels. I even tried hating them just because there are things that even I know are bad and I didn't want to be blindly defensive due to nostalgia/love for the main title.) and it would make perfect sense for Obi-Wan to have had a one night stand at some point. We don't know much about him between III and IV…

Another theory I read though is that Rey is a reincarnation of Anakin. That the "chosen one" isn't so much one person and therefore nothing before nor after, but the chosen fulcrum to balance out for force for all of time. The more I think about it, the more its becoming a favorite theory of mine.
