I have really irrational fears, like:

Heights, spiders, being burned alive, being rejected, failure. Etc. I have many fears, I just test them and act like they don't bother me when they really really do.

Well,not even setting any examples other than fights I've been in. (they're really the only ones I actually read) I've seen battles go on for pages without any injury, everyone dodging attacks etc. I always try to throw out something that wouldn't hurt someone too much, so they can at least say they got hit. But I usually wait for the other person to do the same so I can get hit too. It almost never happens.

There's too much dodging, there's not enough realism. I mean sure, if there are 100 attacks used in a fight and 99 of them cause "instant death" then I wouldn't want to get hit either. But Sim battles are supposed to exist in a realm of altered reality. Not broken. Not a reality where it takes a millisecond to move your entire body to the side to dodge a bullet or a sword slash. I feel that Sim Battling has turned into more or less a contest of whom can do the most ridiculous shit. And it's not even fun for me anymore. Also, battles ending abruptly people not posting in them, etc. makes even thinking about battling someone completely pointless. A loss will not hurt someone that much, a loss will not make someone bad at Simming it'll just make them know the limits of their character. I'm just finding the whole effort of Sim-Battling to be a useless endeavor, and I haven't had a finished fight in ages.

On this day, a man was sitting in a boat. He had heard of a warrior going out onto the lake, the heavenly father suggested that he go meet this man in a clash to the death. The water made this place dangerous. The water, was something from hell, something not of this world. White's eyes drifted across the water, until he saw another boat. One like his, with a man on it, sword at his side. Someone must have let him know that he was going to be there. White accelerated in the boat, pulling up only 4 feet away before he came to a stop.

"My name is White, and I was sent here by destiny and fate to see if I could find a worthy adversary. I must face the best of this land before I can attain my quest." White stood tall, he was about 6' 1" and 145lbs. He reached toward the sky, and a ight shine above, the light seeming to shoot into his hand. And upon the clearing of this bright light, there was a pearl-handled spear, with it's tip a deep crimson. White grasped the spear near the tip and planted the bottom in his boat, his arm held out to the side. "Whenever you are ready."

Maybe that's how things should come to be. I mean, maybe we should put a limit on magic, not necessarily MP, but something that would work the same way. Something that would take the focus off of shooting fireballs back and forth at each other and making the battle seem more heated, closer, with a larger influence on writing how a fight is, and a smaller influence of writing how something comes at someone from a range. I mean, I've wanted for a while to have a good melee combat Sim Battle, but it just doesn't happen as often as it should.

Vincent followed close, keeping tabs on the Kamu, it wasn't a lack of trust, it was merely to ensure that no one else treated him wrongly.

"Hello Chris, sad to say Kaijin couldn't make it, but you'll do well as a substitute. Xeios couldn't help but giggle when Chris knocked Vulkar on his back. "Well, I've only began bonding with the members on a more personal level recently. I have at times, spoken to True Flight, and Shaddow. But other than Katana, and Cairoi, I've never talked to a member that regularly. At least until you got my number, then we began chatting every once in a while. I've talked to FX, and I believe I've heard XMtS in the background at some point, but I can't be sure. I've also spoken on a few occasions to Clockz, but it's been a while since I've talked to him. I'd have to say I bond with the members that are most open to others. More reclusive members do not make as much of an impression on me. Though I do have opinions of almost everyone on the board. Some opinions I have very good reasons for, others, no reasons whatsoever. There are too many members to give my opinions on all of them. At east not in some reasonable amount of time." Xeios sighed. "I hope that's a good enough answer."

White kicked the motor of his boat as well, proceeding at the same speed as Alex.

"I never said I was sent to kill you, I was merely sent to battle you. Death is only an outcome predictable by how we partake in combat." He clenched his spear tightly in both hands, and quickly struck out with the bottom of it to try and hit Alex on the right side of his head, aiming directly for his temple. White loved melee combat, he drew pleasure from the amazing amount of pressure it put him and the other fighter under.

White stood tall, sunlight at his back, or what appeared to be sunlight rather. His white tabard over his bare chest flowed in the wind. In the center, about where his sternum was located, was a simple cross, painted in red. White raised his hand to the heavens and a light called down into his hand, revealing a pearl-poled spear, tipped in a deep crimson. A weapon of the vengeful lord. "Sir, if you are to be so kind as to make the first move, I have walked a long way and am tired."

Violette walked out of the park. Today's puzzles were too easy, she thought as she tossed the paper in the trash can. Just as she rose her eyes from the trash can she noticed the crash, she saw everything that happened, there were people scrambling, the car accident was pretty bad. She walked closer to the crash to get a better view. One of the men had already called the police, so there was really nothing she could do to help out. She turned and walked further down a nearby street. She couldn't believe what had happened right before her eyes, it was truly amazing. All of a sudden the tune of "Not Fade Away" came resounding from her pocket. She grasped the phone in her pocket quickly, checking the caller ID, it was her work, oh shit, what now. She flipped the phone open.

"Hello?" -- "What are you doing!" "I'm walking down 4th Ave." -- "Why the hell are you not at work?" "I'm not scheduled until 4PM!" -- "You're wrong missy. You were supposed to be in two hours ago, we've been trying to reach you." "No, no way! Today's Wednesday right!?" -- "Ha ha, no. Today's Thursday. You're scheduled at 10AM." "Well...alright. Want me to come in?" -- "No, don't worry about it, in fact, don't come in anymore alright?" "You're firing me!?" -- "I think you fired yourself with your actions as of late. You can't show up late every day, it's unacceptable." "Fine! You didn't pay well enough anyway." Violette hung up the phone with a slam. She pocketed it and walked furiously down the street. She hardly payed any mind to her surroundings. When all of a sudden, she noticed the "Help Wanted" sign in the window of "The Green Dragon" Bar. Was this fate? Or just luck? She entered quickly, to see the bartender chatting with some attractive man about employment. It took all the courage inside her to even inquire about the position. She walked to the center of the bar, leaning onto the bar and forward towards the Bartender. Several of the men at the bar checked her out with sideways glances. Showing interest of their own variety. "Hiya, I'm here to inquire about your help wanted sign, I feel like I could help out, I'm a bartender myself, just recently liberated myself from a going-nowhere bar to pursue a bigger and better place. This place seems to be perfect for me."

Violette smiled, "My name's Violette, you can call my Vio if you'd like. Oh, and you should definitely take that sign down, between me and the handsome fellow over there we'll be all the help you'll ever need." She said with a wink. Climbing behind the bar she looked around, checking the labels of the bottles so she could get her bearings. She glanced at the nearest patron, his eyes following her body.

He smiled pervertedly. "Can I get another..." Violette cut him off, "Another Martini?" She had noted the shape of the glass and the olive. She quickly made his drink and set it on a napkin on the bar before him. She shot a sideways glance to Daren. Smirking superiorly.

Violette nodded and mixed the drinks quickly, placing the filled glasses on a tray for Rourke to grab whenever he had a chance. She began playing with a bottle of Vodka, twirling it lightly and tossing it into the air, catching it and pouring a drink for one of the patrons. She kept their glasses full and their eyes happy, soon enough their wallets began emptying into the tip jar.She wasn't sure if this was how everyday was at this bar, but she certainly hoped so.

"Hey studmuffin, can you take these drinks to the table in the corner?" Violette flashed a grin as she spoke, directing her conversation towards Rourke. She turned to Daren. "You're not so much of a 'studmuffin,' I'd think of you more as a 'Big Daddy' or something."
