| Who the hell is this 'Shin-Ra' Group that is continuously talked about here. I have never heard of any of you people, so leave, freak-os! lol. Anyway, I actually have never heard of you people so you must not be that great or important... Which would be a great reason to not have a tournament based on that alone.
Perhaps if we created a double elimination tournament, it would be rather interesting. And the fighters would be guaged by several judges on the quality of their moves, and description of their posts, so technically, someone could lose the fight, but still technically win the battle. It would be a test to see those who follow thhe rules to the extent of their abilities. With skill built in, of course. |

Just because you guys are so called, 'seasoned vets' from what I can gather, you ahave about the skill of every newbie on this site. Your introduction here has been that youare 'the greatest', but I believe that our weakest could stand against you for a long time. You lack the ability to describe, or, like your friends, describe too thoroughly, you need to take into effec tthe fact that too lottle and too much description leaves loopholes. And if you cover every angle with your large amount of description, you are regarded as a GMer. Common sense, intelligence, and overall skill with words are tested in Sim-Battling. I notice from your battle with shaddow, that you lack all of those prior stated qualities. Thus you are regarded as a noobie, and one who frankly does not know shit abut anything. |

| I work at a lumber company in Cape May.
I pick up lumber, I sweep the yard, I help forklift drivers, and I clean random things. I also do any oddjobs arund. Oerall its a relatively pointless job, and I feel no attachment to it. I'm working somewhere else when I return to normalcy. But I'm never working there again! |

| I voted 'no'. I really believe every one here would have a hard time describing megic in a logical way. I am not saying they will not be able to do it, I am merely stating that it will be challenging.
This should not become a rule, maybe a strong suggestion, but describing things as you say, 'logically', would make it a test of who knows more, instead of who is more creative. That is what this is, creativity, and intelligence are equal in these sim-battles. And putting more of an emphasis on one or the other takes away from what a person could do. If intelligence is made most important, then those who are extremely creative, who can paint a brilliant picture with words, but not be able to back it up with logical facts, then they miss out on being able to be regarded as skillful by the simbattling world. THerefore, I truly think this entire poll is going to create complete ruin through the sim-battling section of this site. And I think there are only so many votes for yues, because your Shin-Ra group is large enough to get any damn rule you want passed. SO I vote no, and I vote to completely disregard any suggestion that the group of Shin-Ra makes. They do not deserve an opinion, for their constant problems with the rules should make them leave this site, and go terrorize another, less significant one. |

We have a problem with you Shin-Ras because you are a group of people who think they are better than everyone welse just because you have done this for 7-10 years. I have done this for about 1.3 years. I have quickly advanced, and I came third in a tournament, only losing to the best sim-battler we have here. Or had, if he had not retired. But I am positive, that the person who won that turnament, could probably take on your three best battlers at once. And I also know, that he hasn't been sim-battling for 7-10 years, because he is one year younger than me. And I am only sixteen. Now, you don't seem to realize that, even though you think you are the greatest. You want logical rules, because your elderlyness, has taken your creativity. Its time to move over on your opinion that we are all morons, because you have seen very few of our good fighters, actually fight. So, from what you see, and what I see, is a board, that is friendly to those newer at simbattling. And the people who come in, thinking they are hot shit, sre usually regarded simply as shit. |

| This still shoud not become a rule. Do you realise that pretty much everyone here has only been doing this since XgF opened, do you realise, that there are many many more that have come along later. And do you realise tht if you 'founding fathers' weren't here someone else would have taken the initiative in creating a more classy style to combat. You are not the greatest thing in the world. It should not be a rule, it should be a strong suggestion. Just because you still live with your parents and hold down an unsuccessful job as techies, doesn't mean that the rest of us don't come here for fun. And actualy I have to say that I would agree with the rule if Sim-Battling wasn't fun, and if it was just as it was long ago. If I wanted to think of sim-battling as a mere way to prove how you are intellectually superior to someone, I would have started, and have become angry if someone else had done stupid inexplainable shit. But it comes down to this, the board was doing fine before you came, and Sim-Battling was booming with poularity. In the past months before you arrived, there were steadily increasing battles going on in the Sim-Battle arena. And I think it is for the mere fact that our rules are very lenient. And frankly I like it like this.If everyone here were serious about the battles, then I think that the rule would be passed with very little resistance. But the fact still remains, this will take a lot of the fun out of simbattling. And thus I refute it.. | |||
