I've answered this question so many times on this and other boards, but whatever.

Rogue was always a nickname I had on con badges and such. It came from my love of X-Men, comics, fantasy and from my personality. A rogue being one who goes against the grain, a scamp, a scoundrel, a mischievous one, and so on.

I got the nickname sometime in high school, though I can't quite remember the exact how or why, but I think it had to do with my almost being expelled for writing letters to the city council about my school's neglect. Also, it might have come from that in protest of my school's demand that dying hair an unnatural color was a distraction, I bleached the front portion of my hair down to white and had it that way my entire senior year. White is a natural color, afterall, eventually. (It was also something I'd wanted to do since I was a kid and oddly enough it sparked this trend of semi-bleaching at my school.)

When I joined my first of these boards, Vizzed, I was under the name "RogueTheFallen," which eventually was shortened to the simpler name I have now.

I'm doing it again.

I have a compilation paper due at 3 p.m. tomorrow. What am I doing? Surfing the web.

I think I've reached a point where I just don't care and will probably miss the other two classes I have sitting at Zoso's computer working on this paper I should have started a week ago.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Check yourself. Rub 'em, touch 'em, caress 'em, play with 'em, or get someone else to.

By the way, I'm looking for a new Breast Cancer Awareness girl as Hyatt (along with Mai and Kasumi on occasion) has been doing this for three years running and then some. So if anyone can be so kind as to find me some new gif girls (please no nipples showing, we're trying to keep it clean ), I would be ever so grateful.

Woohoo! Thanks, True!!

I don't see a nipple in that one, but then my sight is ridiculously blurry for some reason.

More bounciness, everybody!

Anyone who feels that pedophiles would never band together and demand their sexual freedoms has never heard of NAMBLA.

Nope.

A bit of information of Wikipedia (Yes, I know Wikipedia is fatally flawed, but this still gets the message across): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nambla

Hahaha! You have the complete picture.

For a time, I had the top half as an icon and even served as a Breast Cancer Awareness Month girl, but I didn't realize she had legs.

The outline of them behind cloth is all right, but areola-slippage isn't.

(Well, really it is, but we're supposedly keeping it clean around here and as pornography is defined by some interest groups, a woman isn't naked unless her nipples are showing. )

Right now she's on Battlestar Galactica and just finished her stint on "Celebrity Duets."

Lately she's starred in those made-for-Sci-Fi-channel horror flicks that are so amusing to watch because they're so cheesy and she's doing one of the voices for the Dragonlance animated movie.

She's pretty just been doing what all sci-fi/fantasy stars (Bruce Campbell, Kevin Sorbo, Ted Raimi, anyone from any of the Star Trek series) do: guest on someone else's series or star in their own sci-fi series/movie/etc. When you become a science fiction/fantasy icon, the fans love seeing figurative crossovers like this.

I met her last year at the premiere of a documentary that was made about her stunt double. Man... so many large, mulleted dykes were there to drool over her and getting her to sign their Xena memorabilia. They were so diligent about it, they shoved Zoso and me up against the wall so they could get to her.

Today in my non-Western philosophy class, during meditation, I suddenly felt extremely happy and giddy from all the deep breathing. I had actually begun to smile and even shed tears of joy.

I've been extremely stressed lately with all of the school work, problems with the magazine, work on the newspaper, and just life in general. Most of the time, my usual breaths are relatively shallow and I never really take in the full capacity of my lungs.

While actually having a moment of despair as I thought about the work I ended up shouldering for the magazine this week (I have to re-write two people's stories because one dropped the class and the other is lacking sources and not in the Associated Press style on top of having to complete my own story. Though this doesn't seem like much, there is also the matter of finishing huge projects for other classes), I put all of it aside for the in-class meditation. As I let go of all thoughts except counting the seconds between inhaling and exhaling, after a few minutes I almost started to giggle uncontrollably.

Anyone ever done this before?

Ah, meditation is wonderous that way. I've never been stressed enough to get that big of a reaction, but I vaguely know the feeling you described. Oh yeah, for the magazine story, when do you need the pictures by? I'm rather busy all this month, but if you need them asap I can do my best to work something out... PM me about it or whatever.

I PM'd you the photographer's number, and I'll have to call her again to make sure she gets in touch with you and WhiteRose.

Many thanks to the two of you and Tom for your help on this story.

I still need to make all these calls for the other two stories. Grumble, grumble, grumble. Well, I can do this. I'm just going to make sure I cut loose this weekend.

I had a very unreasonable, self-destructive thought yesterday before that class: that I would probably have better grades if I just took up smoking. Since smoking is such a stress reliever and serves as a cheap escape for those who do it, and I need to get out and do things to work off the stress and don't get to the reading and working on assignments early enough, it would probably just be more convenient to take up smoking.

What a stupid thought. I think it stemmed from all of the propaganda I've been fed about my line of work--that journalists are among the occupations that smoke the most cigarettes and consume the most alcohol. I wouldn't doubt it being true since my office is filled with smokers and binge drinkers.

Zoso and I did a zombie walk in Hollywood last Saturday where we and a big group of zombies lurched down Hollywood Blvd.

Here's a few pictures from it:

Zoso and me in front of the SpikeTV Scream Awards that were going on at the same time.

Hamming it up on Sunset Blvd.

There wasn't a specific joy to which the tears were tied, really. Tears simply welled up from all of the happiness I was suddenly experiencing while undergoing the high.

If there were anything to really attach the tears to perhaps it came with the discovery of peace amid the stress and hub-bub that is life.

They cancelled South Park in Australia? I'm not surprised.

Hell, I'm starting to wonder if it might be released from its contract here because it seems like every new episode Matt and Trey've come out with this season is making some interest group pissed off enough to demand that individual episodes be removed from the series, be it the Scientologists, Catholics, or even Comedy Central itself (granted they aren't demanding the removal of an episode, they still made Matt and Trey altar the Family Guy/Muhammad episode).

Not to say that they should be released. Not at all. But it wouldn't surprise me if it happened here. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if someone from the Bush administration saw last night's episode and complained, but that's freedom of expression for you. Matt and Trey have every right to say what they want in an episode. Afterall, nothing's sacred on South Park. It attacks everyone.
